GGT 210 Gives Advice on Getting Through Life (& Not Being Afraid)

Back to that Starcraft crap.

Is the matchmaking really broken? I mean, I don't want to play for cereal but I don't want to get wreaked either and I don't want to play against the whack AI cuz it's whack.

Should I just continue to not care about wanting to play any kind of Starcraft ever?

Oh. Well, having never been in the bronze league, I really couldn't say what the percentage of it is shitty players and what percentage of it is decent players that just tanked their MMR to fuck around in bronze. But even if you do end up in bronze, I can guarantee you that there are enough shitty players or Gheeds or whatever down at the bottom to raise your MMR to the point where you'll pretty much never see any higher-level players bottom-feeding.

So... yeah, the matchmaking is fine.

EDIT: Gheed is a fairly infamous SC2 ladder player - can't remember how good he actually was, but Not Godawful - who tanked his MMR down to the lowest of the low so that he could worker rush every single game and record the results. He won a surprisingly large amount of games and angered a surprisingly large amount of people. He has an awesome series of blogs on TL.net.

MMR is your matchmaker ranking. Or rating. Or whatever the fuck. It's the hidden number that goes up and down depending on your performance that determines what range of players you will meet on the ladder.

crotch, pimon is a named skag in borderlands 2 who is part of a challenge. he has yet to spawn in my game, despite many hours of farming.

edit- sorry. pimon is a stalker, tumba is the skag. tumba will spawn about 30% of the time for me. but he's worthless without pimon.
Why...why does that work?
That particular abyss is deep and dark as any I've encountered. If you want to stare, I suggest you start here.

Stalkers are The Worst Thing, anyway. God damn I hated those things.
That's...that's so fuckin stupid.

And people play this game in a professional setting?
My favourite bit is from part three:
I would use the portrait of Dr. Ariel Hanson until the Dark Voice is obtained, so as to disguise my number of wins from my opponent. I noticed that it became easy to detect enemy worker rushers because they would use portraits that were rewards for 250+ games.

I… may need to amend this clause.

You had me at boxxybabee.

This is now my favorite game ever.

If I don't get a million dollars in unmarked bills and a Cessna with enough fuel to get to Cuba, you better bet your ass that I'm gonna float over here and wait for you to kill me. Just fucking try me.
crotch beat spec ops i need to vent
But... but first I need to download and install Spec Ops...

You played Hotline Miami first, right? I think I wanna go straight from Spec Ops to that to see if we have opposite impressions of the two games.

How long does Spec Ops take to beat? I've heard 8 hours and that feels like too much time to devote to a mediocre shooter, regardless of what happens in the story.

Hope you never played Mass Effect, then.
Started AC3 tonight. I'm not really feeling it though. Something just feels..off.
I hated AC3 and I'm a big fan of AC games.

I'm making my way through Rayman Origins right now, the game is actually a ton of fun, and the animations for the characters are super cute.
Oh, icebeast. Why do you disappoint me so... I've been raving about Rayman Origins since I don't even remember when. I think it's the best platformer I've played since, quite possibly, Super Mario World.

Since when do I own Bad Rats? Weird. Maybe I bought it in my sleep? Was it a part of one of those indie bundles, perhaps? fuck if I know...

I saw the ending on Youtube. Don't give a shit about the story. :bouncy:

Brotherhood still the best.

Oh I remember people saying they had a good time with it (was fairly sure you were one of them) so I was interested to finally give it a try (and a good friend said he was giving me this game and expecting me to play through it soon since he knows I have tons of games which I never play, haha). I will be honest though Rayman 2: The Great Escape, which gets tons of praise, I never really liked that game at all. I tried to give it a couple of tries at different points but I never really enjoyed it. As you say though Rayman Origins is one of the best 2D platformers in a long time.

I'd never played a Rayman game before Origins, but it just does so many things right where so many other games have failed, IMO. I've platinumed it on both Vita and PS3 and also own it on PC. :)

Another twist ending? Christ, when is a game in the franchise gonna have a real, satisfying ending?

Never. It's against the rules.

Probably never, they'll continue to setup sequel after sequel until the hype for the franchise dies out at which point the story will just terminate at whatever non-ending the last game had. (Until the series gets rebooted with an entirely new story a decade later).

Waiting for my Shenmue reboot.

Person who has never played an Assassin's Creed game question: is there anyone anywhere that has ever liked the story of the Assassin's Creed games?
