GGT 222 is the Official Arnold Schwarzenegger Thread.
I'll probably play SH: Origins next since I picked that up along with 4. Then I'll move onto Homecoming and Downpour eventually. I've played all the others at some point. My order of preference:

2
Shattered Memories
1
4
3
Huh. Not being a big Silent Hill person, I thought 3 was supposed to be "the last of the good ones"?
Because it's too good for that. It's perfect as is which is why it was released in it's original form as a PS1 Classic.

PS3 exclusive.

Xbox sucks.
is that why you fall asleep everytime you have to update your sony products?

someone just said they couldnt even get past the first save point in sh1
I think it was frost

You know how some people act like old games are masterpieces and have aged a lot better than they actually have and then go and hate on anything new? Yeah.

I only fall asleep because I sleep at a reasonable time.

And stop making things up.

Friends and I took turns. One played all of Silent Hill 1, we watched. Other played Silent Hill 2, ditto. And I played Silent Hill 3, same deal. I liked it.

Nobody played 4.

Hey, let's not make this about me.
Huh. Not being a big Silent Hill person, I thought 3 was supposed to be "the last of the good ones"?
You could say it's the last "true" Silent Hill game I guess. Because 4 was originally supposed to not be a Silent Hill game. I still like it better than 3 though. None of the games I listed are bad mind you, just that 3 is my least favorite of the bunch. After that are Origins, Homecoming, and Downpour, which are Western developed games. Shattered Memories is sort of odd in that it's a Wii game based on Silent Hill 1 without any combat.

your right
polygons are only half of the equation
you also need emotions

video games are all about emotion

also I have waayyyy more achievement points than you
definitely more of a gamer than you'll ever be

that sounded really weird when I first read it
then I remembered those games are only like 3 hours long

now it sounds kind of cool

Is that why Tomb Raider is GOTY? It has lots of emotions?

And I don't play games with achievement points because I'm a true gamer.

TR is bursting with emotions and shivering

you dont play games with achievement points
because you don't want to know how bad you suck at games
when you get 125/1000G you know you suck
Shattered Memories is sort of odd in that it's a Wii game based on Silent Hill 1 without any combat.
I like that about it. Just running away, not being able to fight back. Adds a lot of tension, although it completely takes it out of the exploration sequences since you know nothing is really going to happen. From what I understand, SH combat is terrible anyways.

I also dug the psych profile stuff and how it'll change small things here and there in the game. That twist was pretty cool too.

Best Silent Hill game ever. Cuz it's the only one I've ever played.

The shivering isn't realistic enough though so it takes away from the emotions.

And I wouldn't know what I means to only get that many achievement points because I don't play those games.

what are you talking about?
its so realistic she stops shivering when she gets hypothermia
uber emotions

you dont get that many achievement points
because you dont challenge yourself and embrace the emotons

I also liked the lack of combat. I didn't even think it took away from the exploration parts. Wasn't a huge fan of the chase parts specifically because shaking off the enemies didn't always register because of dumb waggle. The other motion controls were excellent though.

I'm mixed about the psych stuff. I kinda liked the idea of it, but it also lacked subtlety that some other aspects of the series had.
Yeah fuck that noise and the first DLC is also VR missions nothx. I'll wait for the other two DLC's.
Gonna go finish my revegancnencngnance run. ^__^
Uh... ALL the DLC is VR missions.

I remember when you were mad because PS3 got them exclusive first or whatever... well, that worked out for you, since you don't want VR missions anyway.
Lets see who knows has a trophy score of 15

Whatever
You've been discredited
I'm not sure you even play video games
if you did you'd have more achievements

anyways
since we got a tomb raider reboot
can we get a crash bandicoot reboot now?

It worked out great because we wanted to see what happens in each one, but fuck playing them. Gameplay is horrible.

They really should make them into movies.

The movie is always better than what it's adapted from. People just whine and say otherwise because they wasted their time reading the book...or playing the game.

The Western Silent Hill games improved on the gameplay anyway. It was okay for SH1 since that was first, but SH2 has no excuse for being so crappy.

So the sam and wolf DLC are all VR missions?

Just finished no dmg run on that room where you fight two bosses back to back.
Monsoon can be real cunty sometimes
humor is an emotion too

#whoknowsdoesntknowwhatanemotionisstupidhead
Humor is the opposite emotions youre supposed to feel from the game.

And it's not funny anyway

Yeah, he's a giant douche when he throws the smoke canisters cause they cause chip damage and you have to dodge. :|

And yes, I believe Sam and Wolf are VR missions, just like in the first set of them there's a dwarf gekko platformer.

Hmmm, apparently not... the writer has said they're prequel chapters/stories. Excellent!
