GGT 245 Will Look Up and Shout, "Save Us," and Sony Will Whisper, "Sure."

I think dothog's expectations for this Nintendo Direct were a smidgen too high...

Is it new thread time now?

Super pumped for Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, and Bayonetta 2.

So for this E3, I'd have to say Sony wins, followed by Nintendo, and then MS way in the back.
Yup. Unfortunately, Pikmin 3 and those two Platinum titles are the only WiiU games I'm really interested in.

Smash Bros. for 3DS is pretty sweet, though, but is it sad that I'm more excited about the Animal Crossing fighter than I am about Mega Man? Also, maybe they should've made it Tom Nook; he could mortgage the shit out of his opponents.

Watched the Sony conference.  Really like the PS4 design, and several games looked great--Killzone, Watchdogs and Destiny in particular.

Will watch the Nintendo one later.

If anything that makes me think there aren't going to be much in the way of Xbox One exclusives either though.

Yeah, there probably won't be a lot of third party exclusives either way just like this gen.

If the Xbone got a big lead, then maybe since publishers could take advantage of the DRM.  But I can't see it selling more than PS4 worldwide, if even in the US, so it will likely just be multiplatform titles with 95%+ of exclusives being first/second party like currently.

That Tom Nook idea sounds great.

And yeah, I'm more excited about the Animal Crossing fighter too. Mega Man is good as well though. I'm a big fan of the NES era Mega Mans.

Yep, that's what I'm figuring as well, which is why I don't think I'll be missing out on much if I have a PS4 and PC, but no XBone.

Crippling fighters with debt! SOUNDS AMERICAN!

Checked out some of the Nintendo game trailers.

Yeah, I just can't see getting a Wii U.  I mean, Mario 3D, Luigi, Mario Kart etc. looked good--but just more of the same and really nothing I can't get plenty of on 3DS.

For 3DS, reallly looking forward to the LTTP sequel as that looks great, new Yoshi's Island looks good as well.

After seeing the news, the only thing interesting during the MS conference was Crimson Dragon.  Everything else.......  Killer Instinct would be cool if it wasn't made by Double Helix.  Definitely not buying an XB1 for a LONG time.

Sony had a great conference and its confimed I'm buying one at launch.  Nintendo has some interesting stuff.  My WiiU probably won't get a lot of love until 2014 though.

More good news.

500GB should be plenty for me though since I just delete game installs after I'm done with them and sell the disc.

Haven't came remotely close to running out of space on my 360 or PS3 (which are 250 and 350 (or 320?) respectively I think).

Now Tretton said the 3rd party publishers are allowed to set up DRM if they wish which is potentially troubling but I believe Michael Pachter when he says none of them have the balls to do it.

Well, with PS+ and the size of most games these days (and in the next 10 years), you might end up using up more space than expected.

Ha Reggie thinks Wind Waker HD will spur sales. A NEW Zelda probably would.  A remake? Not so much.

PS4 hard drive is removable and upgradable. Another point for Sony.

The Last Guardian is "on hiatus".
I still have that preordered on my Amazon Fight Club. That and FF Versus 15. :bouncy:

Also sweet, figured they'd just roll with the PS3 style HDD. fuck you, Microsoft.

I have a 500 GB HDD in my PS3, and I've got 360 GB free or so? 360 has a 250 GB HDD, and I have all of my games installed, 160 free. That's including 4 discs of Lost Odyssey.

500 GB should be fine for a while.

It's good for me, because I figure MGSV will have a 50 gig install.
You know it will. Shit, it'll probably come on two Blurays.

I hope they come out for PC too, and specifically Steam so I can get them for cheap like a year or two after they come out.
They'll have GFWL. Watch. Just to fuck everyone over.

Yes, would be crazy for a publisher to go against the grain.

So EA will definitely do it, Wacktivision will likely do it.

I'm definitely using more space on the PS3 than 360 due to PS+.

But you don't have to download the games you're not going to play for a while (though I have been). You can just "purchase" the freebies and stop the download. Then you can download them from your download history list anytime you want (as long as you keep PS+ active of course).

Heh, Sonic is actually looking a little better than Mario because it doesn't seem like the same thing again...

That is true, but I generally just find it convenient to download them. Mainly because the PS3 download list has no form of organization (at least last time I checked). Hopefully the PS4 will allow you to manage your download list (and downloaded games for that matter) in a more organized way.

Supposedly big announcement from Nintendo in about 15 minutes...

Eh. I actually really enjoyed Skylanders Giants but I don't know if I wanna get a new portal which is required for this one.

Unless they're announcing a merge with xbox its going to be shit.

Yeah, the PS operating system and dashboard just need a ton of enhancements in general.

Price drop?
That would be my guess.

Reggie is basically admitting that Nintendo consoles are only for Nintendo games, just not directly saying it...

Nintendo NEEDS that price drop.  The hardware will be a year older than current consoles and the software lineup STILL isn't that great.  I mean I liked what I saw, but not enough to run out and buy a system NOW.  After a second E3 and months more of the hardware being available, that's not excusable.

Sony and Microsoft had a boat load of titles and some original IPs for their new consoles.  With all it's billions of dollars, Nintendo's in-house devs are still too small and stretched too thin to make new stuff.  They can barely churn out the remakes of their old stuff.  It's sad.

Wii Fit girl in Smash.  Good gravy, I don't even like Smash.  SMH...

I think they can hold off on a drop til closer to the release of PS4 but it still needs to happen. Either that or a fantastic bundle (something like the system, 3D Mario, Nintendoland & Windwaker HD for $400).

I could understand if it was like a new 3rd party character we might care about for Smash Bros but this is beyond ridiculous.
