Man I got up to the last episode of Alan Wake Thursday, but haven't had the chance to finish it off and won't get the chance till probably Monday.

I seriously doubt they can put out Killzone 3, 4 and 5 between now and 2012. They aren't Activiison, with 4 teams gangbanging out Calladuty games like Mexicans having babies.

MGS4: Substance Abuse is GOTY 2013. The 3D is amazing when you give yourself shots and using MOVE to interact with diaper monkey is fun.
 
When you start playing, it becomes obvious why they changed the name from "Final Fantasy XV" to "Hall of Doody 2." It's the logical sequence from XIII.

I played a shit-ton of the demo when I first got my 360. I've only finished the frist mission but so far it's pretty fun. fuck that "story" though.

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 7 is out on Tuesday, so I'll head to Fry's to get that for $25, and then nab Peace Walker for $30. I will be the victor.
 
I have yet to buy a limited edition that was worth it... last one I bought LE was Lost Planet... after that no more... I have yet to get something worth $10 more.

My roommate couldn't finish Dead Space for some reason either. I'm convinced the tension was too much for him.

I just downloaded the demos for LP1 and 2, seeing as I have never played them. So far the first one doesn't seem too bad. Just nice arcadey TPS.

yeah, the demo for that game was great. It was out for about a year before the game too.

The full game is not so great. A lot of little annoying things.

The tension isn't too much for me, it's just not really grabbing me right now. I think I'm about halfway done with it and just can't talk myself into playing more.
 
Just finished the LP2 demo, and thought that was enjoyable as well (at least for what it is). I'm not sure how I missed the buzz about LP2 (because it came out fairly recently, no?)

Gears 2 LE was nice. The steelbook and the artbook were solid.
MGS4 LE was a PoS.
Haven't really looked at one since those came out.

Dead Space was fucking epic. If you don't enjoy it, there's something wrong with you. ;)

Trade in my old ass PSP 1001 for $70 towards the big boss bundle at gamestop, hoping I can flip it for profit and money later because it's TEH RAREZ

Or go to kmart and buy the green one I actually want with $25 off persona 3 portable and free MGS4.

Maybe I'll do both. I have enough credit to buy one at gamestop, and it'll hopefully pay for the Kmart one.

Nice the art book actually looks reasonably sized. I hate those tiny ones that came with GTA4, God of War 3, Fallout and AC2. Especially Fallout where there's a dozen tiny pics on each page. Hopefully the content is better than the MGS4 one too.

Hey now , back in the Dreamcast days I had practically mastered House of the Dead 2 using a controller since both of the lightguns for the system totally sucked , and it was still fun , just different.

But playing a lightgun game with a gun is definitely more enjoyable.

I don't know about a LE being "worth it" but most of the LEs that I've bought I haven't had to pay more than the price of the base game , and since most of them I turned around and sold said base game for full price or nearly full price I basically got the LE stuff for free.

However , now I'm considering selling off most of that extra LE swag , since I don't really care about most of it , and I don't really have the room to store a lot of it.

I'm kinda in a similar situation , since a do want a new PSP and Peace Walker.

On one hand the Big Boss bundle is the same price as the standard bundle , but I don't know if I wanna bother dealing with GS for it , or if I even really care that much about the Big Boss extra stuff. But I do have GS credit and it might end up being sought after depending on how limited it actually is.

On the other hand the standard bundle will be easier to get , and kmart will have the extra coupon for later , though I already have MGS4.

I had the same problem. I forced myself to beat it anyways, but eh. I kind of liked the ending, but I didn't feel it was really worth forcing myself through the rest of the game.

Have Blur but haven't played it yet. Was trying to finish off Split/Second first.

multi is insanely fun and im so tempted to pull the trigger even though im trying not to buy xbla games at launch when i kno they'll be on sale eventually

I didn't love it. The controls are a lot like the Need for Speed games where the cars are kind of sluggish to turn. I much prefer the burnout/split second style of arcade racer. I actually returned the used copy I bought because the controls were driving me crazy, and i was always ending up with attack items I couldn't use becuase the leader was two laps ahead online, or i was getting passed by people who were just grinding the wall on every turn.

I'm going to pick it up this week, i have a points card just haven't redeemed it yet.
 
Slow day in the GGT, huh?

Played several more hours of Yakuza 3 today, and grinded for about an hour in Nocturne in anticipation of tackling the final dungeon.

All this chatter about racing games have me jonesing for a good one, but none of the ones recently released appeal to me much. I was gonna wait for GT5 to get my racing fix, but who knows when that'll wind up getting released. Maybe I'll try and grab Dirt 2 since its dropped in price now. I really enjoyed the demo.

That's what it looked like in the gameplay videos I watched, but I was kinda hoping it wasn't the case.


Split/Second would be fine, but they fucked up the online so I can rarely get into a game. Lame.
 
I was considering Split/Second, but decided to pass for now (again). I'm kind of considering Blur since I like PGR/Mario Kart, but I dunno.

Anyway, I finally beat ModNation Racers career mode. Despite wanting to smash my controller many times, I made it through. Working on getting more trophies (37% complete on them) and playing online. I have played MNR on PSP more lately trying to beat its career mode.

Next up on my PS3 will be either White Knight Chronicles (17 hours into the game) or Star Ocean: TLHI (25 hours into the game) to finish. Probably WKC since I'm in the mood for an easy game right now.
 
I should stop buying new games because I want to play ssf4 all the time

But I'm getting the green MGS: PW psp bundle this week.

I might get both the big boss pack from gamestop and the regular from kmart. I think the big boss pack will end up being worth some cash money to all the crazy MGS/Sony fanboys.
