Ouch, sorry to hear that.
Yeah, it sucks. Mostly it's been stuff like figuring out what to do about medical insurance, where to put my 401k, dealing with getting everything squared away at my old apartment along with the move, trying to sign up for unemployment (which has been terrible so far due to California's system which is forcing me to apply over the phone rather than online, but over the phone involves trying to call during a time where you aren't disconnect you due to the system being flooded, haha), and then sandwiching that stuff between taking phone interviews, going to on-site interviews, and doing programming tests for companies.
For this break though I'm just trying to take it easy, except for signing up for unemployment which I'm still battling to do, and a few e-mails that I need to get sent out.
It has been kind of an awkward month too, haha. So the really good friend I ended up moving in ended up getting a job offer to a job which we both had interviewed for (and this was right after I declined the only job offer I've had so far (to be fair though this is the outcome I foresaw when I made the decision)) so I think he felt kind of bad taking it since he already had another offer, but honestly I told him to just pick what made sense for him and I'd figure out what I was going to do (especially since even if he turned down the offer there was no guarantee they would offer the job to me outside of the fact that a friend within the company and the recruiter said that they thought my interview went really well (so there is still the possibility for a job there if another position opens up)). That was followed up by my dad flying out to visit me in early December and getting roped into helping my move for a bunch of the time he was here. And then my roommate setup to have his "girlfriend" (i.e. he says they aren't really in a relationship yet, but they basically are, haha) right up until two days before I flew out for my holiday break. Basically this past week she was here till Wednesday and my week looked like: Monday (start a programming assignment), Tuesday (finish programming assignment), Wednesday (on-site interview), and Thursday (flew back to Colorado). With a bunch of insurance and 401K stuff mixed in.
Honestly it's all been a little overwhelming which is why I want to use this vacation as a breather before jumping back into it all again.

I've missed all you guys too; sorry about missing all those times you texted me to jump on Skype.
