Vanquish demo was okay, Case Zero is kind of reminding me why I didn't like Dead Rising, but I bought it so I'll push forward.
I wish I had A) The TV Remote so I could play 360/PS3 and B) the ability to download games, I realllly want Case Zero.
Don't have enough to shell out for a universal remote?

Lotta time on your hands dog.  :)

Oh shit, my new tv lamp arrived. I was expecting it next week. Case 0 tonight afterall.
I don't even like Treasure games, so whatever, I don't care. They won't even put effort into making the game because it's for an American console. If there's anything I know about Japan, they hate American businesses and are loyal to Nintendo and Sony. Microsoft probably just offered them 10s of millions of dollars for the exclusive. Since they don't have any credibility, they have to buy every thing with their money they made from Windows. They might be gaining ground in the video game market, but it's not because they actually care about games, it's because they are throwing money everywhere. This is going to hurt us all in the long run when developers just make games for the highest bidder, games that are targeted at the widest audience because they are greedy.

it's great that microsoft finally got a good game besides halo, but if you support this, you should apologize or kiss your hobby goodbye.
 That's crazy talk possummames! Seriously though, are choo just yanking chains? MS isn't offerring Treasure 10s of millions of anything to put their stuff on XBLA exclusively. If anything, you need to ask Sony why it isn't doing anything to put more of these games on PSN.

Honestly not really. I don't have much cash and I'm trying to save my "fun" money for DR2; plus I like to keep cash on hand at school in case I emergency need something. I'd rather just wait a few days/a week for my mom to mail the remote from home then go buy a new one that I'll only use for a week.

Treasure just shot themselves in the foot.

I don’t know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I’m an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It’s not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Bangai-O for either system, nor will they purchase any of Treasure's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Treasure has alienated an entire market with this move.

Treasure, publicly apologize and cancel Bangai-O for 360 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

ninja dog: who is Treasure screwing over? The Japanese gaming public really isn't any different from anywhere else: there's going to be some folks who'll go "sweet, I'll get an Xbox or I'll buy this when it comes out". Then there'll be others who go "eh, I'm not going to buy a damn console for one frickin' game", but those people will move on. Look at Cave--are people picketing them for releasing stuff only on 360? Are they demanding the staff commit seppuku for dev'ing for gaijin?

Sure the samurai concepts of honor and shame resonate as part of the culture, but ask native Japanese how it is today, in 2010, and they'll tell you it's diluted now and not nearly as prevalent as before.

BTW, I'm Japanese.

Treasure is a small dev, so they are going to be drawn to Microsoft because it is easier to get a game approved on XBLA compared to PSN.

Finally, all Japanese devs interested in making money are doing everything they can to broaden the appeal of their games, including catering to Western audiences. From Capcom to Sega to Bandai, they all just want to make money off games.

I'm bummed there aren't as many niche game choices on PSN, but I'm hopeful that'll change as the subscriber base in the West continues to expand.

O snap. Where's Ashton Kutcher?

Really enjoying DR2:C0 so far. Seems like they fixed most of my problems with the original. Also like the main character more.

Downloaded the Vanquish Demo to :360: , but haven't had a chance to play yet.

I'm having some wierd issues with my 360 and Case 0. One time the game just went to the main menu out of nowhere, and just know as I was putting the last piece to the bike the screen went blank my I coudn't do anything from within the 360. Not good.

played an hour of Other M. OTHER than the cutscenes, M enjoying it a lot. hurrrr derp

it's a little bland, but it feels like metroid.

homeworks time

How fast do standard versions of Halo games usually drop? I have Reach on pre-order for $45 and am just wondering whether or not I absolutely have to play it day 1.

kind of liked the case zero trial.

I hope Dead Rising 2 turns out to be awesome, but I'm doubtful.

Usually not fast. You'll probably find an LE in a couple of months for 30ish, though.

Man, tried playing the Vanquish demo again. Still don't like it. I'll try out Case 0 tonight.

Seemed to be pretty slow to me for Halo 2 and 3 anyway. My guess would be around Black Friday we'd see a $40-45 deal.

Amazon has the $20 future purchase credit with pre order that's another option.

Ps3 vanquish demo is up. I think you have to search for it, though. I'm really hoping it's good, because the rest of this year is basically a wash.
Insanity is a bitch, wish I was smart enough to have had my extra skill be "warp ammo".
Worst part was the fight in the center of the deserted colony... that was a fucking nightmare.
The second worst part is where halo's at now.
Got through it. Almost sent the controller out the fucking window after the 10th or 12th death but thank god that's over. Pro-tip - Mass Effect 2 is a wonderful game but you really don't need to play it on insanity to prove how big your balls are.
eh, i thought insanity had to be unlocked first -- maybe i'm just forgetting the proper names.
I imported people from ME1 so maybe that's why I could jump right to insanity. I wish it hadn't let me, it should've noticed that my ME1 save was from 2007. Not exactly super-polished at the beginning.
I have a problem with Case Zero.

it's on the 360.

Yeah, I said it.

I'm a message board bad ass
Oh yeah, I shot 10 space pirates in a row in the back of the neck without touching the ground.

My only gripe with the vanquish demo is how easy it is to die and not really knowing what the fuck is going on.
Oh yeah, I shot 10 space pirates in a row in the back of the neck without touching the ground.
yeah, Other M's combat is pretty light. but go easy, it's the wii. In it's favor, this is the most complex Metroid combat yet! I can't imagine the red tape Team Ninja had to cut through to put in a dodge move that works automatically.

I'm intrigued by the new 360 controller but I need to try one on a variety of games before I'm going to shell out for it. If I can't jump from Streets of Rage 2, to Halo Reach, to Forza 2, without any problems, it can go to hell.

Yep. The Insanity achievement is the only one I'm missing, and it will stay missing as going through that frustration would only lessen my love of the game.

Hmm, I'll keep my $45 pre-order then, I'd prefer to save $15 right away than get $20 credit that will sit there forever.
Vanquish = Lost Planet: Fixed Edition.

That was a fun ass demo.
It made me second guess my pre-order, it's good but... $60 good?
