IIRC, the PS3 version of Vanquish was supposed to be the better one, right?
Where did you read that? Last I heard they were saying it was hard to tell the 2 apart from each other.

Edit:n/m you probably read that the PS3 was the lead platform for Vanquish.

it's just the lead platform...so it's at least not a port like Bayonetta. I don't think that means it's guaranteed to be any better though.

To be fair Platinum had nothing to do with the PS3 port of Bayonetta.

fuck the part of ME2 I'm stuck in, fuck it in the ass.
Illusive man calls me up, talks some trash about a disabled Collector ship, I'm like, "Cool man, let me finish this research and I'll roll over there." He's like, "Naw man, you're going now." So then I get there and big surprise, it's some crazy trap and these guys are flying at me on some platforms and shit, and my people die in like 3 shots. Then I get murdered by some dude spouting philosophy.

I got some tips from Gamefaqs so I'm going to give it another shot later today. Apparently it's the hardest part of the game on Insanity so that's both terrifying and a relief.

Is insanity all that more difficult? I played on the hardcore setting and the only thing that really changed was how often I had to duck down to cover as compared to easier settings.

I mean, cover based shooters are still fairly straight forward. Perhaps I'll try insanity later on some day.

I don't know how it compares to hardcore because I jumped right into insanity but it's rough. Not so much on the regular recruiting or loyalty missions, because I can typically back track and just snipe the beejeezus out of everything if things get too hairy, but on this tiny platform, backing up isn't a choice.

eh, i thought insanity had to be unlocked first -- maybe i'm just forgetting the proper names.

Yea at some points insanity can be.... insane. Especially the trap platform and lots of harbringers (they hit you out of cover which = dead). Just keep trying and trying and be wary of your squadmates they like to kill themselves there.

The new 360 controller looks terrible. It's also only going to be available with the Play n' Charge kit for $65. They should've brought it with the new 360, but it's obvious they're just going for more money here.

Playing some Metroid Other M at the moment. Okay, the voice acting is definitely not horrendous, nor is it great. Meh at best so far, but it's not hurting anything. Only control complaints so far: Tank mode. Just...ugh.

SIXTY FIVE US DOLLARS

MS is "adjusting for inflation" all over the place. Sorry the Zune isn't working out for ya, but don't take it out on my wallet plz

Insanity is a bitch, wish I was smart enough to have had my extra skill be "warp ammo".
Worst part was the fight in the center of the deserted colony... that was a fucking nightmare.
The second worst part is where halo's at now.
Yeah, they really should also sell the controller by itself and not only bundled with the Play 'n Charge kits.
I've been trying to find another "backing" to my regular xbox controller. Somehow the one that came with it stopped working-- if I use the back from another of my controllers it works fine. Its been damn impossible. And the charge packs don't really get sold anymore.

Shame really. I want to give them teh monies but apparently thats not good enough.
To be fair Platinum had nothing to do with the PS3 port of Bayonetta.
The port isn't that bad. I've noticed minimal slow down with it installed -- and I don't know that I've seen the screen tearing I was getting in Vigrid in the 360 version.

I'm not sure what Platinum's problem was when they decided NOT to port the game, but apparently now they've gone the right direction with Vanquish.
New 360 pad looks hideous. Chrome Dpad? WTF?
I gots to have my chrome to match my chrome disc tray on my XBAWKS 360 PREMIUM while I play my Perfect Dark Zero Deathmatches. Ain't nothing wrong with pimpin' your gaemZ, G!
We got Elijah Wood up in this bitch. Put some LEDs on your headset bro!

Yeah but it's still stupid to charge $50 for a regular controller without a recharable pack. You shouldn't have to spend $70 to get a controller with rechargable batteries. Dual Shock 3's dont' cost that much.

There are good deals out there. Dell had 2 wireless controllers for $40 a while back. And I got my most recent one for about $25 at toys r us.

That vanquish demo was really fun. Re-Downloading everything onto my slim 360 now. Can't do license transfer until next year though. :(

Hey whoknows does your 360 s get somewhat warm by the fan vent? I think it's probably normal since it's getting all the heat out and it doesn't get warm anywhere else, I was just surprised by how much heat it kicks out.
And I'm not saying the controllers are cheap, just that there hasn't been a price increase since 2005.
If you can't buy the controller for $50 on it's own without the play and charge kit, there most certainly has been -- since there's no way to buy the new version of the controller for less than $65 MSRP.

frosty, You have to grab a beer and give it to him.

I tried the Vanquish demo earlier but I'm not too sure what to think of it. It could be the fact I have no idea what the hell I was doing...
Bangai-O HD

And Beef, yup CC on PSN today.

Hm, now I'm wondering if I should get the full version of Case Zero, or balls out on regular DR2? Bah, gotta try the demo when I get home.
Anyone playing DR2:C0 yet?
How the fuck do I give this fat fuck a drink?
Yeah just pick up a beer with B and then walk over to him and give it to him with B.
Dead Rising 2 delivers, so far, based on Case 0. Can't wait. Shame my level 5 Chuck won't carry forward. :(
Yeah I think Case 0 is pretty great as well. I loved the original too, though. Moosehead FTW. Played through one playthrough so far and got ending D. Gotta get a better one.

Jesus, I can't answer since I am playing on an HDTV, but I would severely doubt it.
Case Zero is a standalone game to DR2? I put the demo in my queue so I can try it when I get home.
Yeah, it takes place 3 years before DR2(I think).

Wow getting Chuck to level 5 was quick once I found the Boat oar and Chainsaw. Now I just need to figure out the last 3 weapon combos...

Why did the cool kids say Bangai-O HD?

Actually I found it. That's exciting. I love Treasure.

Though I still need to open Bangai O for the Dreamcast...

I don't even like Treasure games, so whatever, I don't care. They won't even put effort into making the game because it's for an American console. If there's anything I know about Japan, they hate American businesses and are loyal to Nintendo and Sony. Microsoft probably just offered them 10s of millions of dollars for the exclusive. Since they don't have any credibility, they have to buy every thing with their money they made from Windows. They might be gaining ground in the video game market, but it's not because they actually care about games, it's because they are throwing money everywhere. This is going to hurt us all in the long run when developers just make games for the highest bidder, games that are targeted at the widest audience because they are greedy.

it's great that microsoft finally got a good game besides halo, but if you support this, you should apologize or kiss your hobby goodbye.
