GGT #40: Gizmo's Great Adventure

I have Reach pre-ordered. I dunno why since I haven't been impressed with the series at all--I just cave to gamer peer pressure and force myself to play it hoping that each new iteration will somehow make me like it...or at least understand why everyone else bows down and kisses its ass.

From what I've seen so far, I think I will like it a lot more than 3, but that's probably not saying much.
 
Fable 2's ending was pretty bad. But I had enough fun with the game to want Fable 3... I'll probably avoid the Collectors edition.
 
Yeah, I'll almost definitely play Fable 3. But it will be like Fable 2--a wait and get it from Goozex game--as I don't like the series enough to spend real money on it.
 
I think one of the reasons I like the Fable series is its quite a British game in terms of jokes and the voice actors they use. It was cool to have Stephen Fry as one of the heroes and Zoe Wanamaker as the guild woman.

So my pre-orders till the end of the year stand at Dead Rising 2 and Fable 3, I might add the new Fallout game.
 
I liked Fable II. Not perfect by any means, but I enjoyed it. I'll hold off on Fallout 3 and wait for GOTY edition.

Don't read if you haven't beaten Fable 2.
Come on now, having the rogue dude shoot the bad guy in the forehead if you don't? A one shot kill and it's just magically all over? Poor form.
 
Reach is my only current pre-order. Will pre-order Gears 3 with the $20 amazon credit from that.

Doubt I'll pre-order any other fall games. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood I'll get if reviews for single player are good--but that's a Goozex game. Fallout New Vegas will wait for GOTY edition probably--just played Fallout 3 this summer, so kind of burnt out on the series. The new COD I'm mixed on as I didn't get into MW2 much. I may pick it up if I don't get into Reach multiplayer I guess.

I will pick up the Dragon Age GOTY edition coming out in Oct. Probably just ask for that for my b-day or x-mas.

It was a bit lame, but the whole story was pretty lame so it didn't bother me.

*shrugs* As I've said, I play games expecting stories to suck balls compared to movies, books, TV shows etc. so the story never has a big impact on my rating of a game. If the story is decent, that's just an added bonus. But a lame or lacking story doesn't really lessen a game much for me if the game play was fun.

Yeah, but even when you hit him it's a one-hit kill. I gotta admit, I thought that was a let down, but overall I loved the game.

They made me choose between my dog and anything else. bastards.

Since it seems a fair amount of GGTers are getting Reach, we should get a GGT game going sometime
 
Anyone know if the extra content from LittleBigPlanet GOTY gets installed on the PS3? Want to try to get rid of it before the 2nd one comes out.

I'd be up for it. Especially for Firefight mode.
 
Online site? You mean for tips on how to beat it etc?

If so, all you can do is go to court and challenge it if you have good cause to do so. Even if not it will be dismissed if the cop doesn't show up.

Look into whether the particular ticket will affect your insurance premiums as well. If it will, may be worth getting a lawyer to help beat it/get it reduces/stricken from the record. If not, probably not worth the expense and I'd just challenge it in court on your own.

so anyone getting the halo reach legendary edition?

apparently it'll actually be limited this time around and i just noticed on gamestops site that the limited and legendary are sold out

Anyway, I just beat Star Ocean: The Last Hope International on PS3. :D Finally glad to have it completed since I didn't feel like playing anything until I finished it. I'll admit I was not surprised to see the final boss being (major spoiler):

. Ending was decent, but I preferred the ending in Star Ocean: Till The End of Time.

I also got my Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep in the mail, along with Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA and Kenzan imported from Japan.
 
Let me know if Project Diva is fun as a rhythm game. Was considering it even though I don't care for the music.

I guess there's a demo I can try.
 
I still need to play it, started but was a bit burnt out getting the 120 in the first Galaxy in the days before it came out.

I have Limited on PO, mainly for the DLC. I couldn't justify the Legendary, plus the Halo 3 "Legendary" was a "Legendary" Fail and I didn't want to give MS the satisfaction twice in a row (even though I didn't get it at MSRP, I still paid too much for it).

im trying to justify payin an extra $50(currently paying $24 for the limited) just so i can get dev commentary on the campaign and a flaming helmet :bomb:

atm only thing i can think of is trading in other m which i was gonna do anyway and trading in my extra copy of reach rather than returning it for another game
im guessing reach will have a high tiv and i'll only be payin $20 for it since i did the trade 2 get $40 off reach deal at gs

that or i could just not get the black ops hardened edition seeing as how that one will for sure be on clearance.... damnit decisions decisions

edit:also id technically be payin an another $20 to pick up a copy of halo pc just so i can get an extra namepalte for reach...unless some kind ggter has one theyd like to give to me =)

I was gonna use my 5 dollar credit to get Overlord 2 for .32 cents but I'm kinda glad I can't now....really don't need another game.

I agree on both fronts!

And I'm getting the Legendary edition! I've already got it paid off and everything!

Edit: Also, just beat Shank. The last boss was a bitch.

My guess is they'll release it here the same day as Pokemon Black/White. That combination will single-handedly save the economy.

I think the 3DS will be my major jump back into Portable gaming. Despite owning both a DS and PSP (both fatties), I haven't really put a whole lot of timing into them. I'm pretty pumped about the Kid Icarus game though.
 
The 3DS seems like it'll be pretty amazing. I will totally buy 10 of them on launch day to pay for mine, a bunch of games, and a lot of profit.

whew ok i think ive reisted the legendary edition of reach

though it would make more sense to not fight club castlevania and just use my $40 of credit from reach and other m on it....
 
Yeah, that looks really really good.

One of the best games on iOS and I don't normally gush over a game like that.
Glad it's not just a straight port.
