GGT 57 will fill you with hope
Different isn't always a good thing.
I liked the demo.
You should definitely give the full game a shot then. The full game is actually much better than the demo so far. The demo is basically just the first dungeon of the game. The world is actually much more open and colorful than that single dungeon. And while I hated the Majin's voice in the demo, I actually can't help but love him so far in the full game. The game has put a smile on my face more times in the first couple hours than most games do throughout the whole game.

I was iffy on the demo. Something just felt off about the combat and movement. Would definitely pick it up on the cheap though.

I want to play some FFXII international after finals. b/c Persona 3 Portable owns the 15 minutes I can stay awake before bed.

Dead Nation was pissing me off at first. Mapping the weapon/item change to the d-pad by default was a terrible decision (have to take your thumb off the L-stick while running from a pack of zombies.) changing them to the buttons on the right makes the game much better.

iPad arrives today.
Shipped on the 29th from China and now on the local truck. Hope my lady friend is awake to sign though.....

The XBL rewards program doesn't look like much of a rewards program, as most of them are for renewing your sub and nothing for buying anything on the marketplace (just specific stuff that MS highlights). Seems like the most anybody would get are the 20 points that they offer for monthly surveys, so my points total will be uneven for four out of every five months.
Dead Nation is pretty fun, as is Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom.
I'm trying to get my roommate to buy Dead Nation so I can take it off his account :p

It's just a dual stick shooter, right?

Yeah, I always expect things to improve in a 24 hour period.

I'd personally rather have nothing than something. Dunno 'bout you.

From China? Nice, buying knockoff iPads FTW!

Damn I'm tired. And I really want to rearrange my PC/Gaming setup, but I'm tired and I need food. Think I'll eat then do a bit of it before I dig into some more Alpha Protocol.

I remember growing up when we had to walk 5 miles in a foot of snow in the blistery cold just to get 20 MS points.

Where did I say it needed to change in 24 hours?

All I said is that it's not really going to reward me for doing anything but doing surveys every month, so they could have come up with a better set of rewards for its launch.

seanr shut up you bought a kinect, you don't get to have opinions on microsoft until they give you your testicles back

Where did I say I cared who said what? (Oh wait I didn't yet  or did I )
Any of you play Splatterhouse? Looks fun.
Yeah, ages ago on my TG16, that shit was sick, bro. The sequel was better, and Splatterhouse 3 was even better IMO.

Keith Cougar sounds like some old porno star.

Tester Spoils:

I honestly think Fazeek is just on their to create friction between the players, and be a douche nozzle in the process(MULTIPLAYER). Honestly, not many people would watch people just getting along unless it was a sitcom. Triplethreat seemed way to cocky in that last episode. "My idea was epic, you guys just didn't get it" Also, I thought Triplethreat's team idea sucked. Maybe it was just the way it was edited but it sounded all random and shit. Sure Gaymers team idea was totally for kids, but it seemed like a decent kids story. Though lol @ it being for anyone over 10. No wonder that other guy is mad Triplethreat left, he probably felt cock-blocked by the Judges and Fazeek.

If I had a video game company, I'd seriously buy up old IPs and revamp them. Adventures of Lolo 3rd person shooter powered by Unreal 3, hype.

Also fuck EA for never bringing back Mutant League Football or Hockey.

I agree. I simply think there is not enough ways to actually earn points. Because how often are you going to renew your membership?
WHAT?! Are they all terrible?
I'm still  at the people who say the age range is off. Depending on execution of the idea, people could be correct or way off base, were it to ever exist.

Hell, based off the assumption that it could only be for younger gamers, maybe we should laugh at anyone who has a DS or Wii and plays games like NSMB, DKC, Kirby, etc.

That's a terrible comparison for each game.

Mario - You're a fatass adult plumber who's on his quest to save his squeeze from a dinosauric monster.

DKC - You're a gigantic gorilla who goes around throwing barrels at fucking alligators and crocodiles while mowing them down with rhinos. That shit is pretty violent right there, calladuty violent.

Kirby - He sucks and blows the entire time and sometimes swallows, need I say more?

Little Nemo. Game, set, match.

Also, Link is a preteen years old in the original Zelda and LttP and in the beginning section of OoT. Not sure how old he's supposed to be in WW exactly, but I'm sure he's around the same 12-14 max age range of previous games.

Are we talking about movies or games? I'm talking about games.

Link also uses a sword, arrow and bombs to violently slay those who oppose him. That's sounds pretty fuckin' violent to me.

Games. Little Nemo was an old school game on the NES, not a movie. You're thinking of Finding Nemo.

*feels old even though I'm only 21*

Except those games are riding off nostalgia and great game design. This new IP if it were to come into existence would fail. Not only that but Cheskas team was seemed way too focused on story and no game play, IIRC Gaymers team had a pic of a controller with buttons mapped. So at least gameplay was thought of to a greater extent.

Thought technically you're still right distgfx, Little Nemo was also an animated movie that came out in 1992...thought nobody remembers that.

This was my main complaints, I believe you should focus on gameplay first and story later.

I sure as hell don't, I don't watch much.

Oh god, I just played it (ty vNES) and it the most terrifying game I have ever seen. What sick and twisted mind came up with these ungodly creatures? I feel like I'm in a maniacs god damned nightmare. Those snails charge at you with murderous intent.

Spoiler: It sucked.

You're the one who has a crush on Cheska, you should be enjoying this and join in.

Littel Nemo was also a movie. I know, because I have it.
On VHS

Now I feel old.

its less a crush and more of a one-sided love stalk

Ah, my mistake, I'll be sure to keep that in mind for the next 10 seconds.

Awesome GGT, since I feel Hope is one of the best game characters. :D

Played some Crazy Taxi lately. Sucks that the music has changed and some of the cool places to stop are gone, but the game is still loads of fun. Looking to play GT5 or Need for Speed: HP tonight. Been busy with other stuff lately.
Is Lost Planet 2 worth $15 if I liked the first one? Anyone here still play the coop on either system?
I still find it fun. The game does have some issues like having to restart at the beginning of the mission and the story just isn't as good as the first. But I enjoyed the gameplay of the first and the 2nd feels a lot like it. I wouldn't call it OMG great, more like a 7/10 game.

My favorite part of Crazy Taxi was the black preacher that wanted to go to KFC, then back to church, then back to KFC, then back to church, repeat forever.

Also Little Nemo NES >>>> Little Nemo Arcade.
