GGT 57 will fill you with hope

Has anyone heard of these people?

http://www.facebook.com/MiniInTheBox

I just got this PM:

Hello Jesus_S_Preston,

As a lurker on this forum, I’ve noticed you are one of the most active users on this site. And it’s good to see that, since this forum exists because of users like you

I am currently contacting you on behalf of MiniInTheBox.com, a subsidiary of LightInTheBox.com that sells lots and lots of crazy gadgets internationally. As MiniInTheBox.com is a relatively new site (having launched earlier this year), we are currently trying to spread the word about the site and its products.

We’d like to send you some free products to play with and to review, with no strings attached. If you like them and are willing to share your opinions of the products on this forum, it would be great, but if you think that our products suck and don’t want anything to do with us anymore, we will also understand (… maybe ).

If you are interested, we currently have two options for sending out the products to you:

1) Simply visit MiniInTheBox.com (http://miniinthebox.com) and let us know what products you are interested in! Unfortunately, as we are a company with a budget, we can only offer you up to US$50 worth of products.

2) We know that going through all our products (all 10,000 of them) to find what interests you, may take more time than you’re willing to invest in our site. In this case, simply let us know and we can select a range of products that we believe will interest you based on the topics you cover on your website.

With either option, we will still need the following information:
- Your Name
- Your Shipping Address (Including Country)
- Your Contact Phone Number

Regardless of your decision, we’d love to hear back from you! (Hopefully you don’t think we’re a scam…)

If you’d like to know more about us, you can also find us on Facebook (http://facebook.com/miniinthebox) or our (extremely new) twitter account (@miniintheboxcom).

Thank you for your time!

Eric

Picked up Monkey Island 2 SE that was on sale on Steam. I enjoyed the bit of Bit.Trip Beat I played, though I was only messing around with the 360 controller to see if that worked well.

Isn't there a lag setting on ps3 or the psp that helps? I haven't used it in years.

I should play Peace Walker online.

360?

If so, I'll play you once my copy arrives.
Peace Walker has online? Did not know that somehow.
Not by default I don't think (it is local multiplayer only), but you could probably do it with Adhoc Party which is how people play(ed) Monster Hunter Freedom Unite online in America.

gone for a mont5h now back with a month of hard work and a pocket thick money...

plus i got dead rising 2 in the mail today from gamefly and have been playing Wario Ware DIY for research purposes for a workshop I will be doing.

Bingo. I see at least 3-4 rooms of Peace Walker in AdHoc Party everytime I use it.

Maybe I should buy it then. It should still be $20 on PSN.

There is a lag setting but i haven't looked up how it works yet. I did mess with it a bit and it never got any better. Meh, the only remote play game I have is Pixeljunk Shooter.

I almost bought Peace Walker on PSN because I don't want to wait for a copy I ordered...but it changed back to $29.99 right then. Thankfully!

Is anyone getting Dead Nation today? As much as zombie creep the hell out of me, I'm going to get it just so I can play co-op with my friends.

You didn't know? I was wondering why people even cared now.

hmmm..... Super Meat Boy is better than expected. I bought it on dat Steam, and while I only played 5 minutes (no more, as I am a very busy man with a busy life), it was startlingly competent.

Nope. :'(
Wanted to take erotic pics for PP.

Any word on price? I doubt it will be the value Case Zero was.

what's the cheapest place/way to get a original 360 HDD + transfer cable?

I've been juggling data for a while now and would like it in one place for once... then again, would it just be smarter to juggle onto a 16gb flash usb drive (ran out of ones to use right now)?

Hmm... thoughts on the 5th Tester... don't click if you're not in a good mood, Cheska.

First of all, this was actually a good challenge, so kudos to the show for doing that. However, while I don't think that the ideas for both designs were bad, I think they were executed very poorly. For the shark game, their demographic was waaaaay off. Considering the design, I don't think it'd appeal to anybody over 7, as mentioned in the show. This isn't exactly mario, the main character and everything else about it sounds like an infant's story.

As for you guys, I think you started off in the completely wrong direction. This is more of a personal opinion, but I think a game's mechanics should be developed long before the story itself. You have to make the game fun first because you can create a story to keep them playing. I'm not going to play a game for story unless the game's mechanics are at least tolerable. This is the reason I don't play most RPGs, because it seems like their entire philosophy is to create a story first, then a game later. I mean, at least for games with fun mechanics, even if the story is bad then they can get by on the gameplay alone because it's just damned fun. Don't get me wrong, some games can get by on story alone, but not many.

So yea, opinions and stuff.
