Thanks gwen... I know what to do!

Eat Spaghetti Os!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a good day so far...

Anyone excited about Rock Band 2? I wasn't at first but it is slowly creepin' up the charts for me. So far my hype meter looks like this...

SOUL CALIBUR IV

PERSONA 4

STREET FIGHTER IV

In that order...

mmm

I try not to get hyped about games anymore... But I would be lying if I said that I wasn't hyped for for SoulCalibur IV and Persona 4. Street Fhight 4... not so much. I need to get used to the style they are using for the game.

People will be surprised when I say this, but...

I picked back up Devil May Cry 4 again. I did a bit of Proud Soul and Demon Blood farming, and I managed to beat Mission 2 on SOS. I still have to beat the game on Human Mode though.

Gears 2 is all I'm really hyped for this year. There's a good number of other games I'm interested in, but that's the only one that I'm dying to play.

Holy crap, thanks for making me re-do my lists...

Castlevania: OoE and Chrono Trigger DS and Dragon Quest IV!

BALLLLLLLLLLLLIN

for me it shall be : Gears 2, Moblibe Ops, Persona 4, SFIV, SCIV, and MAYBE Naruto Ultimate Ninja STORM

i think Project Origin will be meh

hey chac, whats the word on the rape thingie with xbl?

Question: how do you cancel a fucking Xbox Live subscription? I thought there was an option on the dashboard, but now only seem to be able to extend my scrip to monthly and yearly rates. If I could actually connect to Live I wouldn't have a problem paying, but something is weird with my connection, so really, what's the point? Should I call MS?

Ctrl-C for me too. Except let me slide NHL 09 in between Persona 4 and SF4

Hype: LittleBigPlanet, Chrono Trigger DS, SFIV

De-Hype: Soul Calibur IV, GTAIV DLC

No Hype: Too Human, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2

I'm hyped for:

Bangai O Spirits
Soul Calibur IV
Mirrors Edge

Everything else is either not coming out until 09, or is only looking meh to me. Hopefully I'll have some pleasant surprises though.

Persona 4 is all I can get hyped for since I only have a PS2 and GC.

I'm going to play FF IV though.

I really can't decide between a 360 and a PS3 so I will have to wait until one really wins me over.

Busy busy week - I'm building trophies all day.. I miss running graphics :(

I might just flip a coin on Civ for 360 or PS3..

Achievements would be nice, and probably more people playing online on 360..
I'm not sure what your categories mean. :whistle2:k
Hype I have
Hype I've lost
No interest whatsoever

Interesting fact: Ernie Hudson grew up right near where I lived in Michigan. lol. So did Sinbad.

LA CAG, who's down to meet up?

See ya there,
Kramez + S-Kill
SF IV ya'll..
I keep forgetting about Castlevania on the DS. I hope it's good.
I didn't forget it. It's one of the games I'm interested in and will probably buy right away. I'm just not hyped for it as it's hard to get excited for the 7th game in the Metroidvania series.

Let me know how Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is because I'll probably forget the game by the time you guys play it ;P ^_^

I should've moved to LA instead of my wife moving to me. I guess I can do without the wildfires, though.

I'm hype for everything! SCIV, DQIV, Bangaio, Otomedius G, Chrono DS, Gears2, etc etc etc!

CAG will need to work overtime on the deals for me to get 'em all. :p

Where did you live?

I am thinking of picking up MLB Power Pros today. I am getting one for my Brother-in-law. His B-day is right around the corner.
I hate achievements. They take your focus away from the game and onto a silly, useless metascore.

It's just a marketing technique!
I could say the same about a lot of things in most games. Whether it be how long it takes you to finish arcade mode in Street Fighter, to how high your score is in the original Mario.

jeeze... I cut ply-wood yesterday, appropriately named "Boners", and today I lose sleep to setup a new sound system... geeze... >_< on top of that I gotta study for a test on spanish tomorrow... >_<

maybe I'll watch hellboy tonight to ease all the hard work.

I see where you're coming from for sure, although I don't necessarily hate them. I think it's fun to see the achievement bubble come up. But yeah, I've given up on achievement-whoring and have finally settled in on accepting achievements as they come instead of worrying about them in and of themselves.

Ugh I hate reviews that only focus on the reviewer's own expectations of a game--especially when those expectations are unrealistic and just flat out inappropriate.

For one thing, it's stupid to bash a port for being a port. "I was expecting DMC4 for PC and Capcom gave me DMC4 for PC without taking advantage of the PC". Wat? You want mouse support? The only logical mouse support would be mouse-look and even that would be useless for a DMC game, let alone DMC4. You can question Capcom for making a PC port of any of it's console games, but the bottom line is, they did the marketing research and looked at the business model and they wouldn't have done it if they didn't think it'd make money, or at least have a shot of making money.

Reading shit like that makes me wonder how some people can get game journalism jobs while others can't.

Lots of stuff coming out that I will likely buy and play, but very little in the way of "woo, hyped!" Unless we talk about the potential for Pikmin 3.

Oh god, what is wrong with me...Chocobo Tales 2 for DS is looking really cute good. The guys and gals at Square have become masters of presentation. Even the shitty games look awesome.

Hm, I must've been busy over the 4th of July weekend as I missed the Resistance 2 virals with Katee Sackhoff in 'em. Mmm Starbuck. I mean, ewwww, Starbuck?
Left 4 Dead has no reason not to be amazing.
well since there is no competative multiplayer (a la Halo 3 , GoW, CoD 4, etc), i can imagine it will get boring after a while of just doing co-op over and over
