I got the first Rock Band bundle for 360 during last Holiday season. I plan on getting Rock Band 2 game only on release and Guitar Hero IV game only when it gets cheaper unless the create a song thing is truly megaton.
 
So like, I got SC IV the other day and started beating up on Darth Vader...

And today I went to Lego Land and my daughter beat up Darth Vader...

I might pick up the instruments set for RB2 but only cos I'm heading back to the UK in a few months (for good) and it probably won't be released there for years.
 
How is that Initial D game for the PS3? I have been thinking about getting it for a while... When I don't have like 15 figures pre-ordered.

Today's my husband's birthday - got him the first Twelve Kingdoms novel (translated), the Okami artbook (again, translated), and a Japanese Code Geass illustration book. Going to see The Dark Knight tonight if all goes well.

Oh, oh, and a copy of The Art of Disgaea 2's now on its way here from Amazon! So glad that it's finally been released!

In the meantime, more FFVII for me today. When I left off yesterday, Yuffie had just stolen all of my materia :bomb: :whee:
 
The worst thing is one of them is pretty expensive and I can't cancel it. I completely forgot I had it ordered since it didn't appear in my order history. So I need to cancel a few I have pre-ordered in Sept... But it's hard to choose any since I want them all. Right now I leaning towards caneling my Capcomanix Mika figure and the Full Metal Panic - ARX-8 Revoltech...

You just reminded me I should read the 1st novel of Twelve Kingdoms. I have it sitting in a pile with Brave Story, Strawberry Panic vol 2 and a few others. And I should pick up the Okami artbook( I loved the job they did with MEga Man Zero Complete Works) and those Disgaea artbooks

Yeah, figures can be expensive, plus I'm always short on space for mine, even though I have a dedicated bookcase for them. Right now, I'm eyeing the second wave of FFVII Play Arts at Squeenix's official online shop, but I'm waiting for them to add the Uki Uki Chocobo (a rubber ducky chocobo) to their catalog before I place an order; it's been rumored that they'll carry it, and it just came out in Japan not too long ago.

The first Disgaea artbook is quite nice, and doubles as a strategy guide. And speaking of Capcom artbooks, I'm looking forward to The Art of Capcom myself.

Yeah, they can get up there in price. The expensive figure I'm talking about is around $150 before taxes and shipping. The only reason why I ordered it is becuase it's a Motoko Kusanagi figure(And I love her to death). And while we are on the topic of figures, this has to be one of the cutest I have since in a while

The Disgaea artbook doubles as a strategy guide? thats interesting to hear. Also what is in the Art of Capcom book?
 
I think the most I've ever spent on a figure is around $80-90 (if you don't count the $300 + $50 shipping for the Japanese Advent Children boxset, which included Cloud and his bike). Also, I'm not a fan of the show, but that Haruhi figure is nice; then again, I like Gothic Lolita-style figures in general. Would love to have this Rei one when it becomes available to go with my Asuka one, but the price is a little high for me.

As for the Disgaea artbook, it doesn't have walkthroughs, but it does have stats and information for every character class, monster, and item in the game, info on Geo Panels and the Item World, every ending and how to get them, and so on.

I try not to go above $90. But I make exceptions in some cases. That Rei does look really nice. It seems that it might be released in the US so I found it cheaper at Toyslogic. So I placed an order for it.
 
As you can guess I'll be getting that Rei figure no matter what it takes.

If my life size Rei statue counts as a figure I'm not going to say the most I ever spent...
 
genna get Virta Fighter 5 360 once again since I was forced to ditch it when I got it on release... It's only $20 now at TRU and I want it before they throw it out of stock.

then i realize they don't do anything. so if i put 'em up i'd just stare at it for 5 minutes and think "that's what i spent 80 on? dang."

RPGs! I only played WoW last night, but it was fun. My co-workers and I made a bunch of alliance cloth-wearers, and I played cc with my mage. It's fun to sheep.
 
Its been a busy last couple of days, but I have managed to squeeze in a little FFX playing. Just got past the Plains of Calm or whatever, and on my way up the horny can-man mountain.

Find the nearest save point, turn off the console, and fire it back up later tonight. Start playing again with all of the lights off. I played through the first two FF games that way and it will seriously freak you out. The immersion factor is way higher at night.

I have a hard enough time doing it during the day. What makes you think I'll fare any better at night? But I did try it once, I was down in my basement with the lights off... I had to stop after 15 minutes since I was freaking out.
