Yeah I love it as well, but I still say you gotta have a good sense of everything it portrays in order to judge it correctly, thus negative thoughts about it usually don't apply.
So I'm toying with the idea of making a super shitty GGT game... and yes, JEKKI is a boss/character if I make it... don't know what it'll be like though >_
Duke Nukem 3D might be the first shooter to actually work with a traditional game controller. I played that shit with the keyboard only and by default it auto-aims vertically, so you only really need to look left and right.
Rolento, you should use the Beats of Rage engine for a GGT game. It'd have room for lots of characters/bosses..
Funny thing about those Saturn USB pads.. they're selling for $40ish apeice before $10+ shipping now.. lol. I got mine when it was around $20 shipped.
Still pissed that it doesn't work on PS2 games in BC mode.. I think a lot of people picking those up are going to be disappointed like that. But it's going to be nice for SF4.
I played some more Disgaea 3 last night. I'm going to need a larger classroom... Problem is it looks like it will be a pain to get the student council to pass the "Make a Bigger classroom" bill. I guess I'll take a trip to item world and see if I can buy some items to Bribe the classreps with with....
Downloaded some games onto my PSP from the Playstaion Store yesterday.
I got Twisted Metal 2, Rally Cross and Flow. Flow is nice, Twisted Metal 2 aged surprisingly well but that Rally Cross game is crap, not sure why I remembered it being good.
Wish I'd got Destruction Derby or Wipeout instead.
Looks like I'm not working today.... So I guess I'll use my free time to play some Disgaea 3. I need to do a little grinding with a few newly created characters to catch them up with the rest of my guys. And hit the Item World in hopes of finding the Bribe Shop.
might make another thread in OT as well, but in case any of you headphone-smart ggt'ers don't go there...
I'm looking to replace my ATH-EM700s with some in-ear/earbud phones. these clip-ons and are becoming a pain in the ass at school. Also, they sound great, but don't cancel any outside noise.
I guess I could spend up to $100. any recommendations would be great.
dude... in ear, noise cancelling headphones? That's like injecting your ears with an AIDS needle twice. So bad for your hearing.
It's already pretty bad.
so many strange headphones recommended at head-fi. I can't choose! Those guy are sick.
They most certainly are. Well, I can't recommend any specific models or do anything aside from say "oh, Audio Technica, Sennhesier, and Grado are good," but I'm sure you knew that already.
B'sides - I got my own shit to deal with, man. Gotta find some $500 or so cans for myself.
Admit it, the only reason you mentioned that was to brag that you want to buy $500 headphones. You tool.
BWAH, I'm just going to have to start looking for some $100 a month health insurance! What do you think of THAT?
MEGGGGA MANNNN NINER
Before you get all butthurt this was mostly playful making fun of you. Like when two young panther cubs might nibble on each other's legs. So don't get upset.

Several big releases this week. I'll probably just stick with downloading Mega Man 9 and maybe WipEout HD.
I did pick up Assassin's Creed last night. Got it in a trade from my co-workers boyfriend for my old car stereo that I replaced a few months ago. Looking forward to playing it later today.
I enjoy playing God Hand more than any Devil May Cry game. Or that awful Star Wars game you spent $60 on. lol.
SONIC
If you enjoy a terrible game like that, then more power to you. And no matter how bad TFU is (Isn't bad really) the combat system is vastly superior to God Hand. I mean, at least you can fight more than one enemy at once without any trouble.
Hmmm, mega man 9...I gotta get my 360 up here. But you know kids, these days I get excited about releases, play them happily for an evening, then never get around to finishing them. It's like there are all these games that the game enthusiast in me knows are awesome, but I don't feel much need to play them.
Except Crysis Warhead...I spent 3 hours yesterday playing around, setting up massive explosions and traps for HNK on the beach. It was the most fun I've had with any game in a long time
and I settled on these $40 headphones (Yuni PK3.) I would normally not order from a chinese site that looks like this or order a brand I have never heard of, but everyone on head-fi seems to swear by them.
God Hand is NOT a terrible game. Takes some getting used to the controls and style because it's very different from most beat em ups, but that doesn't make it terrible.
TFU just has problems and was rushed by lucasarts to cash in before getting out of game development. Thanks for supporting that. Total hype over substance game. Exactly the kind of thing kids are susceptible to. How's that nerf lightsaber combat working out for you?

Where's Rolento when you need him?
Works great actually, once you have it leveled up. It's actually the best way to beat the final boss.
spending $500 for headphones is laughable. I have a $13 pair of philips headphones from wal-mart that do just fine, thx.
there's a huge difference from $13 to $100-200, everything after that is definitely diminishing returns but there is a difference, there's a difference between all the ones in the $100-200 range.
yeah, i'm sure there's a difference, but I'm pretty happy with my $13 purchase, for what it cost me. $500 is absurd unless you're working in a recording studio and producing actual albums or something though.
Mega Man 9 is INCREDIBLE
So difficult. So many "I knew that was coming" moments.
Playing it in standard def with the remote is the way to go..
Do you guys remember the part in Star Wars where obi wan was all like SFTU to that guy in the bar and cut his arm off, and luke was all like "wow mine just bruised him can't wait till I level my lightsaber up like that lol"

I've always wanted really nice headphones to use with my TV. Mainly because I can have it as loud as I want without anyone complaining.
My headphones are the $100 Sennheiser HD Pro 280's. I couldn't stand any cheap headphones because 1. I like quality, and 2. I'm a musician. So I need to have an accurate, flat response. Plus I prefer that when I listen to anything as well. If anyone can stomach cheap headphones, more power to them.

I have those too!
