The fuck are you talking about? I love the Atelier series with its anime tropes and bad everything.

I honestly think NIS is the worst thing to happen to the genre. They are nothing more than a detriment. And Square sucks at making RPGs now, too. And the Shin Megami Tensei series has yet to have a next-gen game. fuck JRPGs :(

Still love older Chinaman RPGs, though ^_^

I agree. Even though I'd take Lost Odyssey over any single PS2 RPG, the PS2 had a huge amount more good JRPGs overall.

Handhelds on the other hand, PSP or DS, I can easily think of more good RPGs than all current consoles combined. FFXIII still remains to be my favorite JRPG this gen by a long shot, but I don't like it as much as FFX. Unfortunately, I'll never see a Xenosaga/Xenogears again. :whistle2:(

Oh course, nothing this gen is as good as FFX, Xenosaga Episodes I, III, Kingdom Hearts II, and a bunch of other JRPGs. However, I could say that nothing last gen on PS2 was as great as FFVII, FFIX, and Xenogears.

But oh well, as long as there are still JRPGs coming, I'm happy.
 
Uraizen, who is good in BlazBlue? I'm playing Hakumen right no (souly based on the fact that his black costume looks like Nightmare from SC2), but I'm not that great I think.. I'm beating everyone in arcade mode, but that bitch with the stick almost beat me.

You talkin' tier wise? If so, Ragna's pretty good and easy to play. That's not quite the case in CS2 anymore, though. My only advice is try every character and see who you enjoy playing as most. The characters in this game differ more than say... characters in SF, imo.

Okay, thanks a lot! I'll be sure to experiment with the different characters in this. Also, Hazama taught me how to block.

Well I wouldn't really call PSP or DS this gen since they were both released before it started, but handhelds are basically on their own cycle anyways, so who really cares, haha.

I'd agree there have been some good titles on the PSP and the DS but even there many of the better titles are remakes and ports, there haven't been that many brand new JRPGs on those systems.
 
Anybody here want a SOCOM 4 code? It's from Killzone 3, so it's not redeemable until Tuesday.

DS and PSP launched within one year, if not the same year, of the Xbox 360 and are obviously this generation.
