GGT 96 wants pics of JSP's gf!
The only 3DS game I am interested in is Steel Diver.

SSF4 on a handheld can suck it.
Same here. I'm not sure why everyone has a hard on for porting street fighter to a handheld.

I'll pick up a 3ds or its revision once there is a sizable enough collection of games to warrant it.

I just want a 3DS to use Pokemon's online features mostly. Just got SSF4 3D so I had a game for it, and Ghost Recon was a free bonus.
Does the current wife know about this?
She knows that I have a journal, she doesn't know that I have a journal with current daily/weekly events for the last 6-10 years though, complete with love notes or transcribed texts from any girlfriend I've had during the time.

Whenever I'd have sleepovers or gaming nights with my friends I'd read them aloud, it was fun.
Apparently Ridge Racer 3D is actually pretty good though.
TBH, I initially thought it was going to be horrible (like Ridge Racer DS was). But after reading reviews/impressions and saw some videos, now I'm intrigued. I decided I will get it.

Tom Clancy looks quite interesting after watching videos. I'll wait for what a few GGT members and others say before I buy it.
Seriously. My hands are cramping up just thinking about it.
Nothing wrong with playing SFIV on a handheld. I played a ton of BlazBlue, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, Darkstalkers Chronicle, Guilty Gear XX #Reloaded, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, Tekken, and Fate/Unlimited Codes fine on PSP. I love playing fighters on handhelds. :D

I'll be honest that I can't stand the 3D graphics on DS. The graphics whore inside of me prefers PSP partially because of that. Seeing 3DS with its great graphics makes me want it. I'm debating whether I trade-in my DSi to Amazon for $75 credit (and use the 3DS for my DS games).

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with playing fighters on a handheld, if you don't mind using the controls on it. I prefer a stick for my fat mitts. Plus the 3DS layout looks like I'd hate it for any fighter due to that Dpad location. But this is all personal preference.

Playing on a nice HD display with a stick >>> playing on a cramped portable.

I've heard the image quality isn't so great for original DS games on 3DS, so you might not want to get rid of your DSi. Plus I don't know if they have the transfer system set up yet for transferring any DSi Ware that you might own.
Seriously. My hands are cramping up just thinking about it.
What do you mean?

Just because the Capcom Fighters on the PSP turned my hands into horribly mangled claws, doesn't mean portable fighters are a genre that needs die a horribly painful death.

:nottalking:

At least those horribly mangled claws will increase your Monster Hunter game by 300%. :bouncy:

But seriously, my hands hurt just thinking about trying to do a decent SSFIV combo on those 3DS controls.
Apparently Ridge Racer 3D is actually pretty good though.
Yeah, but if I wanted to play Ridge Racer, I'd play RR4 or 5 or 7. Not some watered-down bastard child.

I hope the 3DS doesn't become the next PSP... and by that, I mean I hope it's not a system with nothing but shitty versions of games that were good on consoles.

But seriously, portable fighting game is a bad concept and needs to die, and every copy of every one ever made destroyed.

Like JRPGs.

Can I just agree with the JRPGs part?

I'm still waiting on Smash Bros. for a Nintendo Handheld. I'm also waiting on a Pokemon for a Nintendo Console that doesn't suck ass. But I guess I can't choose.
Can anyone recommend some chiptune music? I downloaded a bunch of it through this donate to japan thing and it's piqued my interest.
Anamanaguchi, Animal Style, Bit Shifter, Cheap Dinosaurs, and my personal favorite Zen Albatross (although he has very few songs out there).

Well I like a good portable racing game because it is a genre that I actually like to play on the go. I really liked Burnout Legends for that reason (on PSP of course, not the DS version)

I do agree with your second part though.
Are the 360/ps3 versions of Just Cause 2 as buggy as the rest? Or is the PC version the buggiest... this video has me

I know it's PC, but if I find a cheap copy of it for PS3, am I going to have a similar experience? :)
Didn't watch the whole thing, but some of those (AI-controlled boat crashing onto the beach) I wouldn't call bugs. They're just some examples of the randomness that occurs in a game that doesn't take itself seriously by any means. I've seen planes crash into the solid skyscrapers in the cities and it wasn't really out of the ordinary for that game.

You should get it because it's a great game and one of the best that came out last year.

Your list needs more Ghost Trick.
Your list needs more Ghost Trick.
Oh that's right. I completely forgot about that one. Yeah, I do intend to play it ^_^
Messed around with my 3DS for 20 minutes or so and didn't really have much a of problem with the 3D.
You still going for that Evangelion thing? I saw it's at like $330...
You still going for that Evangelion thing? I saw it's at like $330...
Nope, I came to my senses and someone outbid me.

Ghost Trick is pretty awesome. I wish I had the soundtrack for that one...

So how is Crysis 2 chac? I got it on the triple but replaying through Crysis and Warhead at the moment (forgot what the hell went on).

Man, fuck school and work. Can barely get through any games due to all the shit I gotta do. I should just quit and go around selling raspas :p

Thanks bros. I've heard some Anamanguchi and yeah I have the SP game and loved the music in that, I'll check out the soundtrack.

Uh...shit. What 2011 games have I played...?

-Dead Space 2
-Marvel vs Capcom 3

Yeah, that's it.

Man, stage 6 of Hard Corps Uprising is nasty. Or it was. Until I stomped that mothafucka out.

2 stages left to learn well, then Ima try to put it all together.

Umm, the game I've played the most this year is
MW2 I haven't really felt like gaming much anymore, but running around shooting people is still fun

fuckin' love it. Honestly, I'd say it's the best FPS I've ever played... though I haven't quite finished it yet (I'm like 8.5 hours in.) It's just pure... everything. Except shit or other bad things.

oh, but you got it on the triple. Probably sucks. Looked like it sucked from the ps3 vid of it I saw...

Why didn't you get it on PC? It runs way better than the original or Warhead, even maxed out.

Same. Except I'm playing
BLOPS
just don't have time anymore to enjoy the mediocre storyline of a modern JRPG. PEW PEW PEW all day, errday.

hmm interesting. May double dip with the PC ver if this is true. Can't wait to play it. I just gotta finish War Head

I can't say I fully agree about the watered down part, because while some games took a hit because of the controls (due to having one stick), I just found it amazing playing console quality like games on the go (such as Syphon Filter PSP games, Ratchet & Clank: SM, God of War games, etc.).
