And I'm telling you.. so far this is the best looking and baddest looking skin in my opinion..
I have Dominus, Morpheus, the one you get for beating the game, and now this one.. and it's mean looking haha
Did you forget that in the last 2 games, giant sized PS buttons flashed on the screen during QTEs? Or how, even in this game, the O button flashes above an enemy's head?
I guess it's just that I hated that segment of the game, which is why I keep focusing on it, as opposed to the other portions(like the QTE's)where the PS3 buttons come up on the screen.

Oh and you get Fear Kratos for beating the game on ANY difficulty, as I unlocked him for beating it on pus.....errrr easy level. LOL

I'm waiting on Mixer236 to send me my apollo code.. we had a gameshare deal but was waiting on that code to be sent to him .. haven't heard back in two days now though

No, Dominus is the best skin because it makes Kratos look "dignified". That and double damage given, half damage taken, and 10x red orbs is always a plus.

BTW, with Godly Possessions turned on, I'm getting 20x Red Orbs, taking about 10% from hits, and winning every QTE insanely quick is awesome.

I have an extra Phantom of Chaos code in case someone wants to trade.

Did these show up on the costumes screen after you beat the game?

I downloaded 3 different ones, but they dont show up. It says "beat the game to unlock costumes". I wish they would at least populate and be grayed out or something so I know they are there.

Yeah you have to beat the game before they show up.

Oh and here is a pic of the God of War 3 toys series 1.

Im putting this in spoilers because it shows characters from the game.

Kratos, Zeus, Hades, and Hercules!

Yea but I beat the game the first day I got it.. but yea they show up when you beat it under costumes

Late for the party, but I'm 80% more of a collector than a gamer. I never tried the first 2 GOW, so I got lost alot with the button sequences when fighting bosses, but I managed to beat Poseidon and called it quits for the night. Great game overall.

That's kind of like wearing a nascar racing jacket and never watching a race..

This game is probably hands down the best series for Playstation in my opinion.and I have played a lot of their titles.

My Forgotten Warrior arrived!

My friend used my Apollo, but I got another today.

I also have Morpheus and Dominious.

Where is my Phantom of Chaos?!?!
Hey flame wanna swap? I have phantom I want forgotten warrior
I want them all. I already redeemed my Forgotten Warrior, Morpheus and Apollo. I have a Dominious, but am waiting to enter my Phantom of Chaos first. OCD :whistle2:D
I'm guessing these will all become available to everyone in the future...
thats what i think it may be a while before it hapens but they will either be free or pay dlc. maybe they will come out with a gow3 goty edition.

It's fucking crazy how much people are paying for each individual skin.. especially dominus and Apollo ... on Ebay

Those figures look great! I did a little bit of searching and found that DC Direct will be making them and that they should be released mid-November. Price per figure should be around the $20 range.

yeah but not surprising. i remember when people were going nuts trying to get that lame blade thingy for infamous. 9/10 people will tell you they never used the thing in the game and if they did it was just to see what it was like. then a while down the road it was a free download. people went crazy for the different uncharted 2 bonuses too.
I must of missed something, but how do you get the Forgotten warrior and Apollo codes?
different stores gave away different skins .. gamecrazy...amazon..gamestop..and someone else I forget.. then you get the morpheus one from 7-11 slurpee points

You dont really have to look at the button prompts as hard as you think. If you see a button prompt on the top of the screen, it tells you to push the top button of your controller ( the triangle button). Same with a button prompt on the left side of the screen, you push the square button which is the left button of the four. You dont have to really think about which button to press. Now of course this doesnt apply to half circle motions of the analog stick, but hope this helps you to get past the QTEs of the boss fights easier.

Just like the Mass Effect 2 preorder items? I really doubt it.

Sometimes the DLC becomes available like Infamous, but if you look at Uncharted 2- the Golden Guns or Navarro are still not available.

I'm not saying they'll be free, I'm just saying they'll be available in one form or another in the future (in a bundle or something, maybe). Uncharted 2 hasn't been out that long so there's still a chance those items get released on the PSN.

Just finished the game last night and my God is was amazing. Might as well just give it GOTY now since it's going to be hard to find anything that can measure up to it. Trophies were pretty easy to get, I managed to get all but 2 in one playthrough, though I beat Challenge of Olympus immediately after I saw the ending. All I need now is a Titan playthrough and I'll have my very first Platinum trophy :D

Oh and can someone please explain to me what that scene after the credits was all about? I honestly had no clue what the hell I was supposed to be looking at.

Sorry to do a minor thead-jack, but Infamous has free DLC? I just started playing it a few days ago and I'm really enjoying it, so any DLC would be great.

Be careful. That first one is the gateway drug... after that it is all downhill.

EDIT - Backlash, free gigawatt blades power up DLC.

The hardest challenge for me was bare hands... i ran out of time :whistle2:( My thumbs hurt and still hurting from playing that... I finally got lucky by bumping the two hammer guys off the arena.

Population control is not too bad, i was able to do it after some practice. The challenges need some luck as well. Eh, i don't think i ever want to play bare hands again...

I hated bare hands... I did it at least 12 times without it counting. I was about 1 second shy every time. I would be ripping the last peon with 1-2 seconds left and it wasn't enough. Several times when luck seemed on my side, I got bounced out by the cyclops. The time I got it, I had 20 seconds left. Go figure.

Yep! The preorder DLC (Gigawatt Blades), are free on the PSN. They are okay... but it is nice to have!

I missed bare hands twice because after you take out nearly all of the enemies, one last solder spawns in the final seconds. I kept wondering why I didn't get it because I stayed near the top half of the arena (where the statue guys spawn) and the final guy spawned at the very bottom. I only noticed him because I ended up near the bottom on my third try. Otherwise, bare hands was easy.

good point but they did have a navarro in the latest dlc set. and supposedly they will finally be releasing those eye of indra characters.

but i dont see them keeping these skins from people. considering how people are going crazy trying to get them all i could see them selling them all for like 4 or 5 bucks.

Maybe. I personally think they should have been in the game regardless, so I don't care if they release them later. I am not one of those people who will swear against Sony if the release them after I had to jump through hoops getting the codes. The more the merrier!

Also, the Eye of Indra characters had a DLC preorder??
Hades kids 2 is the hardest, thats in challenege of exile though.
R1 and triangle on the first cyclop, then move top right a bit to wait for two more to respawn. Spam R1 and triangle, the combo hits both cyclops. Then it's all luck... Basically roll and attack or jump and attack. If you're close to the cyclop, it can't hurt you.

Seriously, the bare hand challenge is broken or unfair... The biggest disadvantage is that you can't grab and kill the two hammer dudes and one cyclop. There were time when i killed all of the little guys and I didn't have anything to use on the remaining three (two of them already have O prompted, but there was not enough time, 15 seconds left).

When you're being conservative with the bodies to grab and charge, then you run into the problem of 2 or 3 remaining little piece of s*its with 2 or 3 seconds left.

If you press Square and the left stick faster enough (right after the O grab), you can actually avoid the little window of vulnerability... But it doesn't work 100% of the time :whistle2:(

I didn't like the bare handed one because it took the two most broken gameplay mechanics and shoved them in one challenge. The enemy as a shield steering mechanic is a little loose and can be imprecise. Couple that with the grab mechanic which in a crowd is complete crap... I will be running towards a guy and be right on top of him... grab... oh I'll turn around and grab the guy who is 10 feet away on top of being ungrab-able. Smart.

no it wasnt a preorder bonus but when it was first released they said after you download all the comics youd get 2 character skins for the mp game ( some asian chick and a guy that looked like colonel sanders) alot of people bought them in america only to find out those skins were exlcusive to europe but ND recently said they were going to release them here at some point.

Hades kids 2 is where you have to get 5 of those Lion/goat/snake enemies to spawn.

the enemy shield move was pretty crappy especialy since if you ended up to close to a wall you automtically kill the guy. another thing i thought was kinda crap were the
hermes shoes
it could have been great if they were actually any kind of usefull. on top of that i was under the impression that youd be able to run along walls and fight in the game ( at least thats what it seemed like in the early gow3 videos).

most of my maor frustrations came from the way they cheaply mixed enemy types in diff areas. its a bitch to have to fight off those
damn dive bombing harpies , minotaurs, medusa and those grabby bastard skeletons
all at once especially on titan mode. kinda surprised there werent more cyclopses ( cyclopi ?) in the same as well as those piggy guys who ride them.

oddly enough the weapons i like the most
were hades hooks and helios' head. the cestus was pretty useful too towards the end.

I loved the Hermes shoes... though their use was very limited. The only non-gold foot print spot I used them in was
the giant scorpion fight
... but you can beat it without getting hit with them. But yeah... overall way too limited.

There was an engraving of a Phoenix where Kratos' body was, and a blood trail leading to the cliff/ocean. Leaves its open ended as to whether he really died or not.

Ahhh, thanks for the info. I actually bought all 3 of the Eye of Indra episodes (the first one was free). It was a fantastic mini series.

I want them as playable characters in Uncharted 2!! LOL

Part of the problem with the hermes shoes was that you could only go in the direction of the enemy highlighted. I think it would have been better if you could have used the shoes to evade bigger enemies, but you could only run into them. Like moving the left analog around to choose which way you wanted to run. But i used them mostly for the jump and air evade, that is a nice move. Otherwise i barely used them at all, except for the parts where i had to run up a wall.
