Grabbed 7 for $29.xx shipped. Wishing I had seen it early in the am and had gotten the disney/pixar stuff I am missing.
 
i ended up canceling both my orders (11 BRs total) because each BR will be in a different envelope and i dont feel like dealing with all that shit because the mail lady and fed ex refuse to put my packages on my porch, instead they leave it at the mailbox (ups will put it next to my door)

i might try to reorder again tomorrow using my grandfathers business adress
 
Every movie i had in my cart was removed before i could check out. Eff that website. That is after all day of waiting to be able to log onto the site too. What a bunch of bs....

I wasn't even thinking about this but I think they do ship each item individually. I really hope they group my orders together in a box and ship it media mail, it'd be a pain to have to go to the post office to pickup 30 packages >_

i emailed hastings and requested copies including the slipcovers. i made my orders about 15 minutes after the sale went live yesterday morning. so that should mean i get first dibs right? im just really picky when it comes to that kinda stuff...

hopefully they take my request into consideration...after all, i spent close to $200.

they ship in bubble envelopes via USPS. they easily fit in your mailbox and do not require signature. so they should be arriving without problems.

dont worry, they wont come w/ slipcovers. that and the people you email have nothing to do w/ the people who ship (they are all shipped from random stores that have stock)


edit: oh and yeah, EVERYTHING seems to be OOS now. i wonder what they'll do to replenish lol.

Weird, one of my blus (Sin City) shows it got shipped on the site, but I didn't get an email saying that. Usually they send an email letting me know an item has been shipped. All the others I ordered are OOS at the moment and is 'in progress'. I better get those since I ordered the minute the sale went live. Shit, hopefully they go through.
 
I ordered Hellboy 2 from the last sale of this and I got mine with a slipcover, so, you have a chance for getting at least some of them.

i LOVED Slumdog Millionaire Indian setting of love.
Up seems to be worth it, never saw it. i would have picked wall-e.
Iron man? lol :roll: i am just kidding, ironman seems to be the only succesful comic to movie unlike the others where they just change the damn plot and story or so i hear.

as far as princing, i believe, you can never go wrong walking out with three blu-rays for less than 30 dollars.

did you ordered used or previously viewed?

Used is supposed to come with case and all
Previously viewed is supposed to come without a case just the disc.

I talked to a lady at hastings who said the only difference is PV was a rental. Both are supposed to come with everything else, case, cover. You may get a different case with PV tho she said

and it looks like the prices have already gone back up on some stuff. Ie Inglorious Bastards, District 9 to name a few

placed two orders of 5 movies. from second order one movie shipped and it says that three are still being prepared, Ratatouille my 5th selection, was canceled after I placed the order, so movies can go OOS even if you ordered them when in stock

but true this beat deal beats the 2 for $25 blu deal at my hollwwood video.

9/13 movies has been shipped, I guess none of my movies are getting cancelled. I placed ordered 8/18 5:30-6AM so it was before most of people in here or slickdeals. It was goodthing I stayed up all night to wait for the sales to started.
 
Placed my order at 10:30pm last night.
7 titles. All Previously Viewed. All were marked as "usually available in 48 hours". So I'm guessing Previously viewed titles are still being pulled from shelves as the sale is going on.
Of course all those titles are out of stock now, but in stock when I ordered.

Now for the waiting game, to see if GoHastings goes in my Browser Bookmarks, or on my Avoid list. I hope they come through. Sounds like a lot of people have had good luck with them.

I always have luck with them for these sales. Unfortunatly, my luck is spelled B-A-D.
For instance, I don't end up checking out the sale until most items are OOS. They do this every time. Why not just have a 12 hour sale instead of 2 days, because that's how long the inventory lasts for?
 
So for their previously played blu-rays, they definitely include the original case art but may or may not include a regular blu-ray case? I hope I don't have to order like 30 empty blu-ray cases or get stuck with a ton of movies that don't even have the regular case art. After a while just about everything left in stock was PV only and some were 2 disc sets.

At those prices (and the fact that some jackass posted the deal on slickdeals and fatwallet) did you really think this would last long? How much inventory (used inventory at that) do you think they would need to have to fulfill thousands and thousands of orders?

The lesson here is to try and keep the deal under wraps before it spreads like wildfire to other sites with hundreds of thousands of users. CAG is a much smaller community so if the deal hadn't been posted at those other websites I'm sure you would have been able to get whatever you wanted from the sale.
 
If company's like Amazon don't have big enough servers to handle huge sales, then I really don't think we can expect a company like GoHastings to be able to handle it.
Personally I'm inpressed that the site would actually come back online every 5 minutes or so.

i noticed that some of my stuff has shipped, but about 75% of what i ordered says now says "out of stock" under my order status. the ones that say oos still say "in progress" so i hope i get them. it still says i was charged the full amount though.

Yesterday I had all of my orders say "out of stock" only to have all but one of the Harry Potter:OotP ship out today. So you may still get your movies. I hate this waiting game as I am still waiting for some of the games I ordered from them to ship out.

All but one of my movies have shipped. I got 11 separate emails that they were shipped. 11 out of 12 isn't bad. Do they ever ship stuff together or do they only do this with used movies?

I think its because they are shipping out from different stores.
