Blu Ray is always a big difference in PQ.
The question is do you really care about PQ on a comedy like Superbad? I don't, so I'm fine with my DVD.
I generally only buy Blu Rays now, but when it comes to upgrading a DVD to Blu Ray, it really has to be a film heavy on eye candy (great cinemetography, great special effects, etc. etc.) for me to bother with it.
But for a comedy, I'll still pick up a DVD to save the cash since I don't care how good it looks really. i.e. I grabbed The Wedding Crashers for $5 a couple months back.
This.
The only time I would say PQ on Blu-Rays are worse than the DVD is when they go crazy with the edge enhancement kind of stuff that makes people look plasticky. This happens on old movies especially like Patton. But other than that Superbad on Blu-Ray kills Superbad on DVD. Have both, seen both.
On another note, this new update is one of the greatest things to come to Goozex. All of the BDs I've posted got requested within a week and all of them were ones that would not have been worth posting on eBay.
