Do you have trouble keeping track of what coupon codes are all available for Gamestop.com? I know I do...so I thought maybe starting a thread compiling them all might be useful to more people than just myself. Though I'd need your help, in letting me know if a code appears to have stopped working, or if you know of a working one that's not here. personally, i think having a topic like this as a sticky up top would be real convenient. it's like how we have an amazon credit & deals sticky topic, but we still have many regular topics made about individual game deals on amazon as well. i commend you TC.

i also don't think SAVE10 works. tried putting in a new copy of red dead redemption and then 2 used games totaling over $50, and it didn't work either time.
 
B2G1 expired on the 21st, it was one of their daily deal promos for the 20th.

Also PPLAY15 doesn't seem to work either, it shows up but doesn't apply the discount. Tried to see if it stacked with CAG16 for kicks.
 
Nice info and layout, but these type of sticky threads are only good if they're constantly updated, which most are not. Unless you're dedicated to keeping this thing up, might as well just shut it down now. Also, your title sucks, maybe its just my personal preference, but it's too busy. Dashes ( - ) will make it more readable than those ( | ). Just some constructive criticism.

Note that pre-orders can be used with the 25deal coupon to get the $100 total. I just got SSFIV, 3DDGH, and last guardian (preorder). I paid $57 and got a $10 coupon for SSFIV.

Might be a personal preference thing. I did it because I find the ( | ) in the title of the Xbox DotW thread to be infinitely more readable than what other threads are doing.

Actually, that coupon code was BUYTWO. Why they didn't just do B2G1, and why B2G1 can still be entered but doesn't do anything, I have no clue.

I'm not sure I'm following...how did you get a 25% coupon to deduct over 50% of your order?
 
actually a suggestion for layout, fr the coupon code offers maybe list all of them without spaces in between, or use a spoiler tag, just to make it more concise.

Not sure. I pre ordered it for PS3 since I don't have a 360 yet. Maybe when/if a 360 slim comes out.

You only get charged for what ships. Only SSFIV and 3DDGH were available so I only got charged for those: $29.99 (originally $39.99) for 3DDGH and $22.49 ($29.99 on sale) for SSFIV, plus tax. Both ordered were new copies. SAVER got me free shipping and I got a $10 coupon code for SSFIV. I'm happy with what I paid.
 
I ordered Red Dead and Super Mario Galaxy 2 a month ago with 25DEAL and it worked... though Splinter Cell Conviction was in the order as well. So pre-orders at least worked back then with a new game that could be shipped. It's worth a try if you want to. It might not have been the exact same deal in name (it was the same 25% off any order of $100+). Just a heads-up to those who want to pre-order with the deal.
 
When you did the 25DEAL at the time, did it show the discount on the pre-orders when you checked out, or did it not give you the discount until suddenly the day it shipped?

I'm not sure but I know when you first add it to your cart it never shows the discount, now I'm curious as to whether it gets discounted when it ships, anyone know? I would like to get Blur :p
 
I cant get my $10.00 discount code from Alan wake to work for a SMG2, I really hate GS but i have all this dam credit to use.

25deal is off any in stock merchandise therefore preorders do not count. the old coupon was good for that but not this one thats why you dont show any discount on your preorders.
 
Yeah I don't think the discount applies to preorders. But they add towards the total. So making an order with a preorder and a game you want will get you the discount on the game you want (of course depending on the system and games you order). Then after it ships just cancel the preorder.
 
Does anyone know if GS will still be offering the $20 credit with SMG2 once it comes out? If so, I'll just order it then, get the credit, and use the 2D15 code. Probably just wishful thinking, though.
 
I wonder how much these codes will hurt them in the long run, now that I got use to being able to get pre-orders 20-25% off, I won't pre-order at full price now. I will wait until the game comes out and stack coupon codes on orders instead. Anyone else doing the same now where they would have otherwise paid full price to get a game release day?

Yeah, I ordered two of them with 25% off and they also say backordered.

Maybe its because they can't ship on sunday? If it doesn't ship tomorrow I'll shoot them an email.

Same thing here. I already sent a pretty heated email to them. They screw up more of my orders than they don't. I also got screwed by overstock.com on my ModNation pre-order and will have to either wait on it or pay full price. I am getting tired of everyone but Amazon screwing up my orders. Why is it so difficult for these companies to do things correctly?
 
You should be ok. They charged you so you'll probably get it. Just wait and see.

I have credit to buy SMG2 in full, so in the end, I'll just get $20 back making the game $30. Nice.
 
I got a $10 credit from GS for ordering GoW III last week. Now when I try to use the code on my pre-order of UFC 2010, it says my order does not meet the criteria for the promo. Anyone else encounter this? The fine print on the $10 code I got in my email only says it isn't valid on consoles, so I'm curious.
 
It seems a lot of people are having problems using the $10 credits but I would like to tack on another question.

I have three $10 credits from purchasing Alan Wake, Split Second and Red Dead. Can I use all three credits towards SMG2? I didn't see anything in the coupon code description that said I couldn't but I also don't want to have the problem of trying to use the code, have it redeemed and then realize they didn't stack and to back out of the order, only to have the codes be invalid.

OK, answering my own post here. I called the GS customer service # and spoke with a rep, "Matt." He said the $10 codes we get for ordering certain games do not, and should not, work on pre-orders. They are meant for in-stock purchases only.

He also said they should not stack when used on in-stock games.

However, as a courtesy for the language not being 100% accurate in the fine print, he tossed me a free $10 off coupon code. :) So now I have 3--one from GoW III, the free one, and the one I got for pre-ordering UFC 2010, which I went ahead and did anyway.

I have a feeling 25DEAL will go through the end of the month just like the other codes. Of course I could be wrong. I plan to get Blur with 25DEAL as i don't really care for the $10 credit and the preorder bonuses but even if you were to wait you could just use 2D15 which gives you 15% off and 2 day shipping. So you won't be at a loss of much if 25DEAL happens to be gone.

You can't stack the coupon codes, only one per order so you're out of luck stacking the 3.
