GS/EB Preorder a game 29.99 or more get 50% of any preowned game

Preordered the Sly Collection & grabbed Toy Story 3 with the coupon. TS3 arrived the other day complete & in mint condition. :D
 
Anyone if you have enough EDGE credit to cover the used game but not both the used game and preorder whether they'll charge your CC first then leave the remaining credit for the preorder, or will they take the credit first?

Hm, ordered at like 9AM PST today and it's already shipped. Sent an email like maybe an hour after to cancel the entire order because I wanted to preorder a different game but it was too late lol

But uh the point is I guess "Pending" status really means it's being picked out and sent to you despite it not being listed on their site under the order process at all.

Am I the only one who can't check out using a credit card on gamestop.com ? I can only make orders with gift cards covering the whole total.
 
can I order a used game with the same or higher value of halo reach and exchange that game for halo reach instore since the gamestops around me have used copies stock?
I already used this deal to get another game earlier during the promo and the reciept only says the price of the game after the 50% off. Oh I also ended up exchanging the game for the same one because of scratches and the new, exchanged reciept, has the original price listed for the game.

No, because the used game will not be the same price as Reach after the 50% off.
 
ok im posting this for those waiting for reach used to come back in stock. i had a page showing as "ships in 24 hours" but theres no add to cart buttton! i added to my wishlist, then from there WAS ABLE TO ADD TO MY CART, order processed, halo reach and dead rising 2 for $89, not too shabby. happy shopping

** why the hell cant i get my avatar picture to load? I must have tried 5 times, lil help?
 
Pre-ordered Fallout New Vegas and grabbed NHL11 for $20. Very good deal. Reach is gone, was considering getting a copy for my brother.

WTF is up with it taking so long to ship??? Preordered and then got Madden 11 for $21 Friday but still pending... Locked in trade to Amazon for $39.50 have to ship by 10/1... Guess as long as my GS copy is in the mail i'll just send my personal copy.


GS.com fails at online. They are slow as fuck everytime i've used them.

Definitely have to disagree with you on that. I have only purchased twice from GS.com, the first time I bought RDR on a Monday and had it sent to my house since I was going to be moving back on that same Wednesday since I was all done with school. Well when I got back home the game was there.

The second order was placed this past Friday using this deal and I ordered NHL 11 and Black Ops. I ordered Friday at about 4:30 PM EST and I just checked the status, and it was out for delivery as of 9 AM EST this morning.

I will also post the condition and completeness of the game when I get home tonight from work.

I also have great luck with ordering used games from gs.com out of 30 games I have had only ONE that was not complete. There has only been two times I had bad discs. I have had games come from both KY and TX I always get them within a couple days after ordering.
 
Does the credit get withdrawn from your edge card right away or not until the pre-order ships?

Just trying to figure out how they work this if they removed $50 for DKC Returns in my previous order or not. The website isn't clear.
 
I hope this coupon goes on for 2 weeks or so longer so I can pick up a used copy of dead rising 2 and UC2 and if it's in stock then, Gran Turismo 5 :)

i believe saver--is the free shipping code--so you just have to pay for taxes

They only take the amount needed for the used game first. I dunno what will happen if you don't have enough credit left by the time the preorder will ship.

Thanks, but with tax its $93. I'll get fallout from newegg $50 shipped. Can wait on Halo.
 
I just bought kane and lynch 2 from this deal, I don't even recommend this for $16 oh well time to toss onto goozex for 1,000 pts every game I ordered from this deal came complete
 
Earlier I ended up ordering Reach and NBA 2k11. Not sure why I went for reach. I hate Halo. Oh well, I can trade it back in to Gamestop for $40 so my copy of NBA will only cost $48 of credit.

No idea, since it doesn't have an expiration date and says it could end at anytime.
 
The lack of a 'pick up in-store' option is killing me here. I assume it's because you could theoretically cancel your preorder in-store. However, the shipping is expensive and SAVER shipping takes forever (around two weeks) to get here, so it's not an option for Black Ops. Grr.

Actually, so far, I have ordered 10 games, and canceled all my 29.99+ preorders with a resounding success. and the saver shipping takes 3to 4 days tops. not to bad IMO.
 
Not as bad as I feared! Received the PO Madden 11 today that I ordered last friday morning. It's complete with heavily stickered case (I have a pile of new replacements), artwork, manual and a like new looking disc. It was freaking disgusting in the center hole when I opened it I was like WTF how dirty was they fingers????????? I cleaned it up and it looks pristine now.

Glad I locked in the $39.25 Amazon trade price as it is only getting $28.50 right now. Not bad for $22.:D


Reach is still $25 -> $39 if you can get one.

:( Yea that sounds a litttle long to me as well my last couple orders have only taken 6-7 days counting the day I place the order. Usually 2 days to process which is a joke when Amazon has spoiled the entire internet shopping community with free prime release/2 day delivery left and right.
