You do lose the original Xbox backward compatibility with the new configuration. Not that most people probably care at this point.
Because it's an arcade model? My 360 S with hard drive does fine.

Backwards compatibility requires a HDD, for some reason. It won't work with just flash memory. Not sure why. It might need to access the info in the "lost" partition of the HDD. But with XBL for original xbox now dead, I'm sure not too many people are playing original xbox games anyway.

Base values from this morning:

:ps3: LittleBigPlanet (Regular)- $9
:ps3: Assassin's Creed- $4
:ps3: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince- $7
:360: Sonic the Hedgehog- $2.50
:360: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen- $7

PS2 standard AV cable - $2.75 (+.25)

Found a box of PS2 crap in the basement of the house I'm moving into. The guy wouldn't take the controller because it had a tiny split in the black coating over the wires. They'll sell you cracked discs but not a controller with a cosmetic flaw. I had another wireless one he wouldn't take because he couldn't tell if it was PS or PS2, which I thought was stupid since it works either way.
Squaretrade 3yr warranty for $27.29 with "ENDLESS" coupon for consoles $299.99
This is a real steal. I plan to pick this up. Has anyone ever had difficulty getting reimbursed for an item completely paid for in store credit? I would like to cover my 360 S but my receipt will show that I paid $299.99 in store credit. Will this be a problem?
To report, Crackdown 2 is still $25 as of yesterday :)
And thank you. :applause:

I don't think that you paying with store credit would make a difference, but you can email them and ask.

I would like to know if you can buy a warranty in advance, but I doubt it
Hey, I have a 60GB PS3 but have a Logitech controller (no Sony brand), will they still accept that or not?
This will be YMMV. My local stores require it to be a Sony brand controller but there have been reports of GameStops taking 3rd party controllers with a console trade-in.

Updated lists and database.
Is gamestop still doing higher trade in values on 360 towards new s consoles? And if so will it work for the new arcade version?
That promotion ended 2 weeks ago.
When I do this I get a price of $31.19.
Use coupon THIRTY30 instead to get the warranty for $27.29.
I tried it also and it was $31.19. I guess they increased the price from yesterday. I will correct the price. Thanks
Yesterday (only) was 30% off and 20% until 8/2 (per the e-mail they sent me) for ENDLESS.

I get the message, "Sorry, this coupon is only available to selected SquareTrade buyers." :(

Also, anyone with experience redeeming warranties for items purchased with store credit?

I'm not sure why it's not working for you, but I just tried it for $299.99 for both PS3 and 360 an it worked. I don't have an account with them or any kind of sign in. "SquareTrade Care Plans are not currently available to residents of Maine and Wisconsin."

Sorry if it's been asked, but...

I have a buddy who wants to trade his 40GB ps3, but the hard drive is upgraded to 120GB, will they still accept it for the $200?

Does it matter if you paid entirely in credit for the system?

It doesn't give me the error until I click to "Buy Now!" Then it pops up with a red error as before. I'm not in Maine or Wisconsin but I am trying to use Paypal, any chance that's causing it?

And thank you for the reply from customer service regarding purchases with credit!

I can't find anyone who wants to buy my mgs4 80gb bc ps3...should I just trade it in? Kinda nervous that it'll die since it's pretty old now. Any advice? Thanks a ton!

Cool thanks for the info! :)

I took my launch PS3 in yesterday. It's like new. I hardly used it. They didn't check to see if it worked. I got 16.77 for a dual shock controller and 14.57 for a six axis controller. I also traded, Battlefield Bad Company 2 = 22.00 and COD MW2 = 26.40. I also got 15.40 for uncharted 2.

That's a tough one I'm surprised no one wants to buy it since it has BC and is the MGS4 edition.

Check out this thread about the GS deal, I and many other CAGs posted the pros and cons of trading in the ps3's.

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265952

My old one was a 40 gig and the pros far out weighed the cons. Just about any question you have has probably been answered there.

I'm also surprised no one wants to buy it since it has BC. If you plan on selling it I would just try elsewhere like ebay or craigslist as I'm sure you'll get more money for it.

Yes they will, but he should probably put the 40 gb back in his ps3 and just keep the 120 gb.

hope someone can give me some advice for SquareTrade.

I bought a used xbox 360 from GS online a while back that was going to be the "dorm" system for people to use. I tried it a few weeks ago and it e74'd! I'm pretty sure the 30 days since it shipped expired. So how do I go about getting a replacement using SquareTrade?

I am not sure why you are getting an error. You should email them and tell them your error. https://www.squaretrade.com/pages/ (email button at the top of the page in blue)
Are the scene-it controller prices for each individual controller or for all four of them?
All four and includes the receiver.
All four and includes the receiver.
ok and it depends on the gamestop of whether or not they accept it?

And here are some prices for the games i traded in today

xbox 360:

mass effect- 5
fear- 2.50
project gotham racing 3- 0.50
grand theft auto 4- 5
dead rising- 3
call of duty 2- 2.50
bioshock- 4
ok and it depends on the gamestop of whether or not they accept it?
Pretty much. I'd say you would have a 1 in 4 chance of finding a GameStop to take them. That may be a low number but I haven't found too many that will take those in.

I think if I can't sell this mgs4 ps3 within a few days, I'll trade it in to GS. What's this I hear about handshake issues with the slim though? That would be a nightmare...

The following have the same base TIV as when last updated.
All XBOX 360:
You're in the Movies
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Live Vision Camera
Wired Headset

It typically takes 4-6 weeks and sometimes it can be upwards of 8+ weeks before you start receiving your issues in the mail, especially if you have an issue like I had where they misspelled my street name.:bomb:

How the fuck they did that when I handed the GS clerk my ID to copy my address down when subscribing is beyond me, but I guess anything is possible, huh?

You could just do like I used to and go in each month until your subscription starts and get each month's issue at the store.

Be warned that when they start your subscription they may send you all of the back issues you have 'missed' since you subscribed, so hopefully you have a LARGE mailbox to fit them all.
