Halo 3 - General Discussion & Info

I don't really trust Famitsu.

Even if I was a Halo freak I wouldn't get the Limited Edition because I don't have a cat.

I am from Cincinnati ( only one T), love the Bengals, but agree that they should be staying focused on Football not Halo 3.

Has Bungie said anything reagrding how long the single player campaign is on 3? I'd love about the same length as 1 as it fits nicely into "meaty, but replayable" category.

Anyone else get an email saying they "cracked the code" for the invite to the IMAX in London? There was a short thread about guessing the code, and it appears I 'won', but I was wondering if everyone does.

I can't wait. I am really excited for this game. I am going to my local Meijer store around 10 PM monday night to get the game at midnight.
 
Alright guy's & maybe one girl.( lol ) here's the problem, long story short, I'm in south Florida & a girl friend of mine has been driving up the Midwest to visit some family member's up north.. now this evening she pulls in to a 7 eleven to get some coffee & she sees right on the counter a Halo 3 box, now she thinks it's an em tee box, but when she picks it up, it's the real deal! she pretty much drops her coffee & takes it up to the register, ( they were on display & i'll find out the exact add's to give you guys )she tells the old guy she wants to buy it, but it doesn't scan. so she tell him she really wanted it.. i guess she uses her girl power. Kapow!! pays for it & buys it!!! next thing she's calling me telling me about it & that i owed her about $70 bucks (im paying for her coffee too) she's a casual gamer, but she know everything about Halo 3 causes I'm alway yapping about it. ok here it goes. she's going to the nearest post offices by her hotel in the morning & mailing me the game over night.( another $20 bucks i think, lol ) so come Friday god willing i should have it! now don't get me wrong i'm happier then a pig in fucking sh**t.. but then it hit's me.. what if i play it on Friday & get band from xbox live??? i'm so fucking scared, don't know what to do. that's why i'm here. i need your help. what do you think should i do. my local GameStop guy was telling me about this guy that got band till 999999.. rest of his life. i would go nuts!! ive worked so hard for my little nerd points to lose them now! but then sit on the game till Tuesday . that would be madness, right? HELP!!

You legally purchased a copy of the game from a retail store. MSoft can't do anything about it. The story you're worrying about was a person who hacked a Microsoft employee's Live account to download and play Halo 3 Epsilon, a closed beta for MS/Bungie employees only that was going on in July and August.

7-11 on the other hand can be fined by MS very heavily ...

Oh and some proof would be nice (like receipt with your info edited out) so we can settle the debate on who would break the street date first (at least with retail as newegg.com broke the date for online.)

Like said before......Microsoft isn't currently banning people logging on to Halo 3 early. You'll be good to go.
 
seeing as how Halo 3 has gotten such a baffingly ludicris amount of hype sell it on Ebay for a ridicuolous price and see if anyone bites...and if they do. well shit buy the game and get a profit

Actually, that doesn't sound like a bad idea, unless Microsoft considering re-selling the game as breaking the street date and decides for some reason to try and prevent it.
 
If you were worried, I'd do what an above poster said, and just don't jump on Live until Tuesday.

But, I doubt you'd be banned, since the game was purchased legally.

Still, I'd be putting that on ebay just as quick as I could.
 
Thanks for the feed back, i'll be posting pics of everything she mails me on Friday, the funny thing is, that will be the 2nd copy i buy. i already paid in full my reserver copy @ GameStop. lol. some friends of mine & myself will be in line Tuesday morning to pick them up. that's if i get the ball's to just play my early copy.

Bah just go to your local Wally World......those idiots break street dates every big release lol. There are a few in Southern GA that sell copies of every street dated game early that a lot of peeps in Jax go to every title :p Enjoy the game when you get it!
