You only get 6 slots. So it doesn't really matter. Almost everyone will fill up.

I took a bunch of pictures just now, did it not save to bungie.net? I thought it uploaded there too. The offline service records are down.

I hate how you can't rewind in film mode. I love everything else about it, especially stopping the action and free roaming with the camera.

You can skip rewind (not the same, but it works). Just hit left on the d-pad.
 
wheeee paid off my copy in full with the credit I got for Metroid Prime 3 and some other credit i had laying around. can't frickin' wait...although I have an O-chem exam Tuesday night so probably can't become a real bum until the weekend.
 
Who here has already picked up the LE or CE or whatever? It appears that most (if not all) of the discs are scratched up. It's not just the game disc, it's the 2nd disc as well. Weird though since they put little pieces of foam behind the game discs.

Edit: Just saw Scorch's post. And, yes, ALL the CE are scratched up! I'd suggest the regular or Legendary but would avoid the CE until MS resolves this.
 
I don't look forward to this title... I just will be playing it and hope to be pleasantly ushered into the halo realm finally with some form of joy. if not, then at least I gave the one series I continually disliked a chance.

Does anyone know if the LE and Regular game disc artwork is the same? because if they are different then stores may not let you exchange a copy for another if you bought the LE and were to replace it with the Regular Edition disc. I remember Halo 2 LE and Regular had the same game disc, just the casing was different, but from the pictures that I saw online of the LE and the early leaked copies of Halo 3 Regular edition it appears the game discs (the artwork) are different.

You can't rewind while watching a saved Campaign film. You should be able to rewind any multiplayer games you have saved.

I can confirm this as I recently was using my friends copy of the Bonus disc that came with the game. On the other side there was a circle of scratches near the cd hole around the size of a nickel.
 
If my limted edition is all Shaq-Fu up, I am going to be so mad and I order online from FamilyVideo. So if I do see issue it's going back to Microsoft I know Familyvideo not going to exchange it.

Sounds like it's MS's fault. Shitty packaging...so long as it plays i'll be happy. After the first week i'll call in and ask for replacements. You know there's going to be a lot of complaints if it has affected nearly all LE/CE.
 
i'm on the 8th chapter right now and i have to say (without spoilers) that the campaign starts off a little slow but picks up amazingly and I think the story has been pretty good so far. I'm going to have to go back in and play it through a few more times (co-op next time) and make sure I didn't miss anything. There are some big battlefields out there that keep it interesting and there sure is no lack in vehicle variety.

Any of you guys find any of the skulls yet? Part of me wants to go out roaming around the maps to find them, but the online part of the game has me caught.....i need to finish the campaign first though...
 
Great, I just preordered LE. Hopefully, MS resolves the issue, and probably even throw in an extra goodie like 2K did with people that had those broken figures.

But then again, MS is not 2K.

Now I'm having 2nd thoughts of buying the Legendary version...If it's going to be a hot collectors item, I don't mind selling it on eBay at a premium.

Just got paid today, but I will not able to survive two weeks with the money left I just paid the bills.

I have the regular game waiting @ Best Buy and it's paid off...frickin' Best Buy keeps withholding the amount of money every week.

Anyway, I just don't know if I should just purchase it and then what? *confused*

If you cannot afford it, don't buy it. It's POSSIBLE it could become an investment, pending on how the EBAY sales go for this.
 
Did anyone here preorder the Legendary version of the game at Circuit City back when it was $99.99? I had my preorder since March but no update on it. Just wondering if anyone is having the same issue?

Im going to seven eleven today. But I am going for a Slurpee, wasn't planning on going for Halo 3, which won't be there anyway.
 
You know, I really hope someone rates this game lower than everyone else (like someone gives it an 8), or a lot of people give it low review scores so most gamers are not disappointed with higher than usual scores. Then it could be one of those unsung games. I've gone over this a few times in my head, and it's still hard to say. But, I think low review scores (8 range) would actually help this game for people having a much more enjoyable experience.
 
I checked two 7/11s near me. No luck. Of course I live literally a mile away from Microsoft (I'm in Bellevue), so I'm sure that they would make sure no local stores break street date.

Disconnect the ethernet cable and put it in. Make sure its a real coppy and not a fake I know they have been going around.

That Halo 2 steelbook scratched up my Halo 2 disc, just like the new LE case is doing. That was why I decided to go for the regular version this time.
