thought it arrived today but was another copy of i know who killed me from FYE instead

got superbad and bourne coming from them and they send me a copy of a movie they already sent me last week argh

That's what has me contemplating on the giftset as well...I mean, I guess I could always buy extra HD DVD cases and make my own covers but...sigh.

Well,only the newest movie is a combo when bought seperate... that's why i was asking about only the newest movie.
 
I seem to have (mistakenly) gotten my hands on to two copies of Led Zeppelin's HD-DVD, The Song Remains The Same.

If anybody wants a copy early (mine are in the mail), PM me.
 
I made my first import order. I got the dutch version of Running Scared. For whatever reason, it was cheaper than the German one even though it's newer and has more special features. Its already been shipped out. Go Xploitedcinema!

Fantastic, my Kiss Kiss Bang Bang & Fountain just showed up from Amazon and even though they are in non-combo packaging, they are in fact combos. :cry:

Anybody else have this happen?

My Superman Returns/Departed were just fine.

Only had an issue with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang & The Fountain.

After getting off the phone with Amazon, they will be overnighting me replacements and only thing I have to do is print out a mailing label/mail the bad ones back.

Hopefully, this was just a fluke.

Doesn't sound like an Amazon problem to me, though. If you can't tell what discs you have from the outside packaging, it's something to take up with the respective studios, right? Otherwise you might just as easily get combos in non-combo packaging again.

Yeah, this seems to be a Warner issue because they are definitely in non-combo packaging and they were sealed.

If my replacements (coming tomorrow) are also combo discs, then we are going to have a big problem.

I had a hard enough time explaining to Amazon that I ordered the non-combo ones and recieved combo disc.

Oh, I misread the original post...I thought that they sent you the wrong ones, labeled as combos.

Haas anyone had a problem playing the entire credits in The Bourne Ultimatum ?
I've exchanged my copy and the second copy does the same thing in my add-on .
Can someone try it out for me ?

any good deals on balls of fury? 27.99 seems a bit much for it. Maybe the price will be cut to 19.99 eventually like knocked up/evan almighty

i just checked the 8 amazon gift cards i sent out last year for xmas and 5 people didn't redeem them so they're mine now i guess, time to stock up on some HD catalog titles :D

After talking to Amazon, they gave me a refund and a $23.95 gift thing for my account since the BOGO is no longer running/they can only do one return per order.

I have to say though, I'm very tempted to say fuck it and just buy The Bourne Trilogy for $26 or something along those lines.

You know, I'm actually starting to appreciate combo discs. I can buy the combo and see it in HD, and also copy it to my Zune.

I could always rent the SD version, but it's a nice convienence.
 
My add-on is starting to make noise, and it's really fucking annoying. Unless you have the speakers cranked you can hear it plain as day. I looked around and saw on AVS that someone had the same problem, I can even use the same wav provided there since mine sounds identical.

Not sure what I want to do here. I really doubt MS will fix it out of warranty, but I'm not going to buy a standalone for a while. I guess I could always open it up if and see if some ubernerd can tell me how to fix it (if possible), but if that's not an option and this thing is on its last legs I may have to bow out of the HD DVD game for a while. Which is especially shitty with Christmas a week away.

Call Microsoft and talk to them until they give you a new one.

Tell them that it's making funky noises and scratching your discs. If the person on the phone says they can't do anything and that they are the top person, hang up and call right back. You'll get a different person and hopefully a new manager that will approve your return. If they try to troubleshoot it, tell them you aren't putting any more of your discs in because it already ate a disc. If they tell you that it will be $59.99, tell them you can't afford it.

With me, they waived the fee (although I was only a month out of my warrenty) and only thing I had to pay for was shipping. It will take a month for you to get a new drive.

Also, the HD discs are all one-sided, non-combos right? I still can't decide whether to go with the Blu-Ray or HD-DVD version.
