Heroes Volume 3: Villains
Oh, and Parkman totally manipulates Daphne into being his wife. There's no way Porkman could do it otherwise.
I second that notion.

Am I the only one getting sick of Clare? Between portal guy and puppet master (whom she got real lucky in beating) she has been pretty cocky about the whole chasing bad guys situation. I'm kinda hoping she meets Knox and the whole vision of her head getting ripped off plays out.

Mohinder needs to suck it up and admit that he doesn't know what he is doing with the whole abilities formula, and needs to either get frozen to death by Tracy or head to Pinehurst.

Adam got raped by Mr. Petrelli, but I think it works out since he spent the majority of seasons 2 & 3 running away from people. I figured he would be able to defend himself better with multiple lifetimes of experience, but I guess I was wrong.

I like how Peter got put in his place by his father since he has been pretty cocky on top of being quasi psychopathic after absorbing Sylar's ability.

Where is the Haitian at? I think Jesse and The German got more screen time that him so far.

Apart from killing Jesse I think Sylar is the only quasi focused/sane person besides Noah as of right now. As the posts before me said 'Where is the show headed?'

You aren't the only one. She hasn't really progressed as a character in a while. Her wanting to be more independent is pretty boring. Outside of the characters she encounters (the Vortex guy and Puppeteer), I don't find her story interesting.

Mohinder's direction is less interesting than Claire's. I imagine Mohinder stumbles upon a way to remove powers. Mohinder up until Season 3 would remove his mutated abilities to regain lost humanity. Season 3 Mohinder would probably choose to keep his powers. I want to see a human Mohinder. He should represent humanity within the Heroes world.

This season definitely needs more Haitian. I really dug the tease when Haitian asked if HRG was replacing him.

Also...

Creepy Parkman... well, the younger, creepy Parkman... probably kills Daphne in an act of passion. Yes, Parkman will kill her during dinner. Porkman loves his roast beef.

Hiro's greatest weakness? The shovel. I use my desert painting power to predict it will become an Internet meme.

The shovel bit was funny, I thought.

For some reason, I think Peter with the "hunger" is interesting. Too bad it was short lived. On the other hand, Sylar acting as the "conscience" just doesn't flow with me.

I thought Peter was just plain stupid accepting a hug from his father. I would certainly hold at least some doubt if my father was miraculously alive and surrounded by super power wielding villains. Maybe he was just too awestruck.

Adam Monroe's character got owned. Clare is just annoying, same with Mohinder. HRG is pretty pathetic. And Fatman just ... is Fatman.

I honestly am with the rest of you, having no idea what direction the writers are taking.

best thing about season 3 so far...

daphne. she is smokin hot.

brea-grant-2.jpg

still better than season 2 though, and i stuck though that so ill keep watching.

mr petrelli seems to be to peter the same way maury is to parkman, a master of his ability. thatd be sweet if peter learns how to do the soul stealing thing, im sure hell get his powers back eventually. my guess is, hell get convinced to go bad, get his powers back, be bad for a bit, then get convinced to be good from someone again, probably sylar, then thats the end of season 3.

I liked this episode a lot better than last week's, and it looks like we're starting to get some direction now that Mr. Petrelli is in the picture. My only real disappointment however was that Adam was brought back for 2 episodes only to be killed off so easily. Can't we kill off another one of the characters, like Mohinder?

I do like that they explained Hiro killing Ando, although I kind of expected it and feel slightly wronged in the way they told it. At least with other cliffhangers we never saw them coming, but this was just stupid because it was against Hiro's character so was to be expected.

If you really think about it, it does sort of make sense. Imagine if you thought your dad was dead, then several years later you meet up with him in bad circumstances, what would your first reaction be? Also, there's a remote possibility that his dad could have the power of persuasion from someone as well.

I think this episode was very good. It makes it feel a little more like they actually know where this is going. They made Sylar good in order to take away Peter's powers (hopefully only temporarily).

At first I though Arthur absorbed life which is why Adam turned out the way he did, but then I remember that he's been alive for hundreds of years.

I'm confused about how Sylar's original power works, the understanding bit. During the future part, it seemed like he understood the fear guy's power just by looking at him. In which case, Peter should've known that his dad absorbed others' abilities through touch.

This was probably the best episode of the season so far (not saying much though).

The Hiro and Ando part of the show was at least tolerable this time.

Daphne is the best thing to happen this season though. Parkmans character is more interesting as well.

Also, w00t at Fort Lee, NJ. I guess that place is pretty close to me. Should I be concerned?

Also, how can Daphne use her powers out in the open like that?

I'm really surprised the show doesn't whore out the graphic novels at all, not even a small mention. Had no idea there was one that explained what happened between future Peter and future Claire. Shit Claire's attitude made a lot more sense, Peter was a delusional terrorist dick.

god i hate peter.. what a whiny bitch. besides that good episode.. Strange though seeing Sylar good. Its those bushy eyebrows.. they make him look evil.

she really cant, im pretty sure people in an airport would notice a girl talking to a guy and disappearing and reappearing. id just chalk it up to an oversight and live with it.

She was halfway across the world and is too fast to be caught, she has no reason to pretend to walk out make sure the coast is clear and then run off. Even if someone questioned it what are they going to do? Go to security and say I saw a girl appear and reappear and i'm sure they're going to ask what drugs you're on.

It's really no different from Hiro and Peter teleporting.

Not to mention, strangely attractive...

Well put about the fathers thing. I would like to see Peter refine his radius power stealing to a soul steal as well. Its like instead of copying he can do a full power removal. That could very well be the solution/cure to people artificially getting powers. Maybe Sylar will figure this out with his "how do things work.com power"

So I'm liking Sylar a lot more than Peter. Overall this season has made him very likable and he has a better actor behind him. I don't know what's the deal with Peter, he just looks frail and sick this season. The scene where they're both in the the cell made Peter look so small and Sylar so heroic. He just has a more action hero build. Better hair too.

And Hiro really needs to tone up next season. Make him freeze time and hit the gym or something. I'm still waiting for the soul patch and sword to return. His goofball antics aren't fun anymore. Except for when Daphne called him Pikachu, I liked that a lot.

Here is what's wrong with Claire, this expression is stuck to her face

The show needs more
The_Haitian.png

Seriously, just have him standing in the back in some scenes and have the other characters go "Huh? My powers". It automatically makes the scene awesome.

One guy at the table behind Parkman did seem to notice, or at least thought he saw someone that was there speed off, but seemed to just shrug it off and go back to what he was doing.

They did. There were commercials for them during every commercial break last night.

LOL There were so many commercial breaks I zoned out

I don't get all the gripes, I've really enjoyed this season. Maybe I just don't take it as seriously as some as I always thought it was only good in a campy, B movie kind of way. Something to watch in the fall until the good shows start in winter like Lost, 24 etc.

Some stuff seems off from time to time, like Hiro stabbing Ando last week, but it was cleared up this week. So I've not had any problems with the season thus far, much better than Season 2 IMO.

No talk about tonight? I enjoyed the episode. It's nice that they're doing something with Parkman. I know most people don't like him, but he's one of my favorites. I like both the character and the actor. I've always had a strong interest in telepathy. Glad to see he wasn't really killed by a bitch villain like Knox.

I'm glad Maya's gone, hot though she may be, and she wasn't just killed off. Sucks that Maury was nonchalantly executed, though. Elle will be dead soon, and I worry about Nathan.

Not sure how I feel about tonight's ep, Maury being killed like that just came out of nowhere. I almost want to say that was an illusion in itself to get Daphne to become serious about recruiting Matt. I too will not being crying any tears over Maya's departure, or at this point Elle's either. Or Claire's biological mom who has to enter each scene with a flame in her open palm, what an awkward stance.
I almost want to say that was an illusion in itself to get Daphne to become serious about recruiting Matt.
i was thinking the same thing.

count me as someone that is also glad maya is gone.

so do you guys think sylar saved peter or do you think maybe peter still has a trace of his powers. you gotta figure hes going to get them back sometime, maybe this will be the start of that.
Not sure how I feel about tonight's ep, Maury being killed like that just came out of nowhere.
I didn't dig it. Then again, I wouldn't want to see a de-powered or caged Maury. But yeah, I did not like how Maury was killed off like a he was a Smallville freak of the week. I think there was more story to tell between he and Matt.
so do you guys think sylar saved peter or do you think maybe peter still has a trace of his powers. you gotta figure hes going to get them back sometime, maybe this will be the start of that.
I think Sylar is playing Arthur and definitely saved Peter.

Hayden and Kristen. Oh lordy. Pants, explosion.

And praise the Great Panda God in the Sky! Maya is finally gone! \\:D/

Sylar did what Peter should have done, go with flow until figuring out a better plan. I got the impression had Peter simply said fine i'll join you he wouldn't have ended up as a lab rat. Sylar definitely saved him though , I have to admit I halfway expected Claire to bleed in Peter's mouth or something instead .

I know it's the end of October, but that's a bit gross, sir.

he has no powers at all now, so it had to be Sylar. Sylar is def a double agent.

Man, I really wanted a melee against Spider-Hinder and the ragtag team of flyman and icewoman. A super hero show with so few battles? That's why I like Japanese SH shows.
I was also kinda pissed that nobody tried to kill Fear Man. Hiro could have stabbed the sucker last episode, and Pacman should've MIND CRUSHED.
Highlight of the episode was Hiro eating dung yams and freakin' out. If only Ando ate some as well.
he has no powers at all now, so it had to be Sylar. Sylar is def a double agent.
Agreed. Papa Petrelli should have seen it coming, how can one trust those suspiciously thick brows. He'll do good as an inside man, since Hiro will eventually return as an insider as well. That should be interesting.

I'm getting tired of the point and make float tricks this season. They have tons of powers to abuse and its always the telekinesis.

When Mohinder was about to inject Peter, I thought to myself "so this is how he gets his powers back". Guess not.

Sad that the Hayden/Kristen Marvel Team up was short lived.

Daphne trying to trick Parkman is ridiculous. He can read her mind, that storyline makes no sense as to how she is suposed to trick him. Too bad he's a such good guy, a lesser man would have her undress in a flash (amirite?).

I liked that part in the lab where they explained the whole family thing to the Ice lady. A quick reminder that they're actually shooting for some continuity here.

Hiro's "future paste" trip better be interesting. If its just more BS about Ando eventually betraying him, then I might have to give up on his whole point this season entirely.
Too bad he's a such good guy, a lesser man would have her undress in a flash (amirite?).
No, you aren't. Given her nasty hair, I'd have her shower thoroughly. Then, I'd check for lice EVERYWHERE.

After that, a lot of STD tests.

If she was clean, we could start the party.

I know, you're thinking, "Those tests would take weeks to complete."

True, but a bulk order of KY for the ensuing speedbang takes several days to clear regulators.

I thought the episode was ok.

Guess Maya is gone (personally, I thought her acting was horrible and her character development lame, though she was pretty hot).

I'm thinking Sylar is still siding with his mother, Angela Petrelli. Though I have this gut feeling Sylar wants to kill his father or at least take his power since he absorbed Adam's power earlier. Sort of an Oedipus complex I would say.

Haha, I thought there was going to be some lesbian action when Elle showed up. A man could dream, right?

If the writers want me to hate Suresh, they sure are doing a good job. It seems like whatever he does is in vain, after hearing what becomes of him in the future.

Daphne did a pretty good job of tricking Porkman, especially since he can read and manipulate minds.

That guy who gets stronger off people's fears is pretty cool. And for some reason it's a black guy...

Also, since Arthur absorbed Peters powers, why doesn't he have all the other powers Peter has claimed? I guess he needs to conciously know about them to use them? He technically has Hiro's power, right? I'm sure he can easily accomplish whatever motive he has with it.

Was Nathan's 2nd healing ever explained? And I just realized the two women he happens to be involved with have the power of fire and ice respectively.

I actually enjoyed this episode, the season is getting to be much better than season 3.

Only disappointment was Maury being killed so easily. I'm all for people being killed off, but I'm disappointed that we see some of the bigger side-characters (i.e. Adam & Maury) being killed with no effort at the snap of a finger.

Maya leaving and nerfed Peter are certainly a good thing. I imagine Peter will obtain his copy ability at some point, but it will be nice to see him start back from scratch and hopefully be smarter about using his abilities.

I heard Claude was in the graphic novels, so I hope to see him show up sometime soon.

I thought the whole fire/ice thing between the two women was kind of funny. They need to have a throw down.

I'd like to see Claude again, Christopher Eccelson is a good actor.

I thought last night's episode was good, but jesus, no main characters die in this show, it's pretty lame.

I always thought the great thing about 24 was that no one was safe... (cept Jack obviously)... this show has people in the same amount of danger, with only 3 of them able to heal... people should be dying 3 seasons in.... it's pretty weak.

Also, fuck next episode, they did that in the first season and it was the worst episode... can this show give me a linear story line for one fucking week???

At this point I'm hanging in there just cause I'm invested in the show, but I couldn't blame anyone for bailing.

They can just do ANYTHING they want with the plot at any time and have some explanation for it... it's not solid story-telling.

I really enjoyed last night's episode, save for Maury's death. Matt's mind-trick on Knox was well done, and I figure he either knows Daphne's plan, or he's so convinced of the vision he saw of the future that he doesn't suspect anything.

De-powered Peter is interesting. I'm not convinced that Sylar is really on Arthur's side, and I'm looking forward to seeing Nathan & Tracy confront them.

It'll also be nice to see what happens with Mohinder now that he's gotten rid of the boat anchor.

Also -- more Claire and Elle hand-holding time, please
I thought last night's episode was good, but jesus, no main characters die in this show, it's pretty lame.
Main characters die. It's just none have this season. Unless you count Adam Monroe since he was a main character in the second season.

Issac, Nikki and D.L died in previous seasons. They were all main characters.
So in two weeks, we get a filler episode? Brilliant.
Yeah, and all because the SNL Election stuff, or whatever. Thats what Tuesday night should be for, not Monday night.

Does anyone think this next episode will have something to do with
Hiro going in the past? Spoilers just in case this was already discussed.

No. Next episode is a flashback episode before most of the current-Heroes discovered their powers. I imagine the only powers we will see will be from the company men (i.e. Arther Petrelli, Lenderman, etc.). While I'm not too keen on it yet, I think it will be interesting to see a little more back story into Mr. Petrelli.

The next episode to be show-breakdown-
Hiro attempts to delve into Arthur Petrelli's past to uncover the mystery behind him creating the rival company Pinehearst, and his hatred towards Angela. Meanwhile, Sylar is stricken by guilt when tries to stop his murderous ways, while Noah Bennett and Elle both team up to try to kill him. Also, Meredith's training with Claire goes up in smoke with the arrival of her murderous brother.
