Hooray, I finally maxed out GGT #33's Social Link!

i can't believe how much worse COD4 feels with a PS3 controller. No configuration is comfortable...the other FPS i've played on the system didn't feel so bad. the 360 triggers just feel right for the snap aim

When the heck are we gonna play UT3? I cant play anymore of the single player, is it all just mission based? I feel like I've been playing the second level/chapter FOREVER.

Everybody is waiting for me to pick it up. Sorry guys, it'll only be a little while longer.

I completely agree about the DS3 triggers. Something about them is just...off. Like the pull is too light or short.

Pretty much sums up why I pick up most shooters on the :360:

bangin out Hydro Thunder right now. the harder difficulties / tracks are rough, make one mistake you might as well restart the course.

I had no real trouble adjusting to MW2 on PS3 after playing MW on 360. Maybe I'm just highly-adaptable.
I don't have a problem either but will admit it's slightly more comfortable on the 360 pad. Those curves.
I agree. The curves make the 360 controller much more comfortable to use for me.

The reverse config screwed with my head for a bit... but I can't say I was ever about to blame the controller for poor play.

Now attempting to use the default 360 controller for a fighting game? I'd blame it for poor play. ;)

Controller preference is a reoccurring theme around these parts.

And I've made my preference known several times over, but again, cause I love repeating myself... ;)

Perfect controller for me would use:
PS3 d-pad
PS3 face buttons
PS3 L1/R1
360 analog sticks
360 triggers

Analog placement is kind of a push... I think if I had to choose I'd go with PS3 symmetric.

But that's just me.

Haha, I like this! Mine would be..

PS3 d-pad
360 face buttons
360 bumpers
360 sticks in the 360 placement
Gamecube triggers and shape

You like the R1/L1 on the 360 pad? I hate them so much... almost worse than the POS d-pad. They're so small and easy to nudge... the hard plastic has no give and so they feel unresponsive to me. :joystick:

I could agree with this, just add in the DS3's built-in rechargeable battery and the PS3's easy interface for switching controllers between player slot.

I rented Batman AA when it first came out. I rushed it. I bought it off amazon since I finally found a cheaper one. I also got that Watchmen game since it was cheap. That purchase might have been a big mistake... Surely Watchmen is worth 10 bucks...

Yeah, they feel fine to me, I mainly really like the way they're shaped. They feel good under my index fingers, kind of like the Z button on the Gamecube controller.

jman, the Watchmen game is actually pretty fun if you're a fan.

This seems like an ok month for releases:

Dead Rising 2
Kane and Lynch 2
Valkyria Chronicles 2
Mafia 2
Madden 11
Shank
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Life
Scott Pilgrim
Metroid Other M

I'm mostly interested in all of them, except Madden. Unfortunately, my hobby budget took a nose dive so I'll probably have to hold off on all of them.

Dead Rising 2 isn't out until late September.
I'm not buying Dead Rising 2 at MSRP, that's for sure.
Neither am I. I was planning on it until I saw the game in action and it stopped sounding like the most perfect game ever to me. I hope case Zero is good.

DR2 was the only game in the list I cared about -- it's pushed back til end of September.

I just got UT3! The edge discount took it off of the original $8.99 price, so it was less than $4 total.

y'all can add me on PSN: mames. I also play SSFIV. No mic though. Maybe I'll get one.

I only want metroid other m. slow month.

Finished the Terran campaign in sc1 today, also playing red dead redemption. Backlog, ahoy!

Yeah, but it's a better month than September, with it's considerable... no games.

I'm tellin' you. Dead.Rising.2.

September.

Dead Rising 2 is going to BOMB. Lost Planet 2 and Dark Void say hello. Also, September has Birth by Sleep and Halo Reaching for more money.

What is with all the UT3 love all of a sudden? Well, if it's only $4 @ GS and y'all are willing to play late nights, then I'd be down for that...

Actually I have UT3 for Mac already...anybody play on Mac or PC?
How long was the SP campaign in SCII?
It's pretty lengthy. If I had to estimate I'd say... I dunno... 15 hours or so?

Birth by who?

Doesn't matter if it BOMBs. Only matters if it's enjoyable and fun.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Like Final Fantasy, it's a RPG that sells well because of its' brand name, regardless of region.

Well, if it's as enjoyable and fun as the first Dead Rising, then it won't be either of those.

First Dead Rising is one of 3 reasons I wanted a 360, the other 2 being Gears 1&2.

Has anything after KH2 actually sold well? I thought 21903482095/asde413232*9043270 days bombed?

I have it on PC, online is pretty dead though.

I should snag it for PS3 soon so I can play with you guys!!! :grouphug:

I'll add you so you can beat me down in SSFIV sometime.

Don't most well established brands benefit from a trusted name?
