I got a small square box in the mail today. I wondered what the hell it was. The sender was 'West Coast Wizards' or something like that. I said to myself, 'Man, whatever this is, the guy at the apartment office is going to think I'm a huge dork."

Sure enough, I open it up and it's those free Magic cards. Suspicion confirmed.

It got really old today hearing all the stoner kids talking about how today was national weed day.

The kids that didn't smoke but still talked about it to be cool were even worse. :/

I've got this icon transparent, but when I try to save it as a jpeg it still comes out looking like this because it can't handle transparency or something. I've also tried it as a gif.
 
Well, I guess walmart is out of the question job wise...

Despite what they told me friday, they are now saying that I can only work 16 hours a week, spread out over 4 days. Which means more than half of my earnings would be going to gas. After that I would be only making $50 or so a week. Which is just too little for me.

Well, as of right now, I am still taking it. But if any other people respond back with job offers, I will definitely be quitting.

EDIT: Yep, I applied at those also Rocko. Still nothing back yet... however, my application is on file for at least 90 days. So at anytime they could call me really.

No, it isn't that those are the only hours available. It is because I am under 18. They can't schedule me for over 16 hours until I turn 18.

Well, technically I am still in the process of being hired. However, I am debating calling them and saying I am not interested any more.

EDIT: Walmart policy Bioshocked. Texas has very lax child labor laws. I know I can find a job somewhere else that will give me more hours.
 
I do have good news though.

I sent my resume, and a letter of intent to Giganews about three weeks ago applying for a job they had open. Well they finally got back to me today, and they said they interested in interviewing me, but they wanted to know what my hourly compensation requirements were.

Maybe this will lead somewhere...
