Humble Bundle Thread

That must've been a long time ago. It seems now thats all anyone sells in there for the most part. The SteamGameSwap subreddit was like that for a long time before they loosened the rules because no one was using it.
Yeah it was a few years ago. Ever since then I've been giving away the indie type games, and if it was worth more than $4-$5 selling whatever else on ebay.

Last time I tried selling humble keys in the trading section, somebody acted like it was sacrilege. Was asking less than isthereanydeal historic low too, but apparently it was seen as me stealing from the respective charities.
It kind of annoys me when people repost the same old indie keys at the same prices for MONTHS, but that goes for other forums/trade sites as well so it's not CAG-specific, and it's probably because I frequent the threads too often.

At some point the cost of your time to repost games that aren't selling will negate the money you'd get when those games eventually sell (if ever). Why people don't realize this with games rarely worth more than a couple of dollars is beyond me. If you set reasonable prices, you shouldn't have to wait for longer than a week or two to sell though.

If someone missed out on this bundle and really wanted to buy it. Ill sell it to them at cost. I did mean to cancel before auto renewal and honestly this bundle doesn't excite me at all. pm me if interest. I currently dont own any of these games but if no one wants to pay cost for the bundle I will just redeem them.

$13.06 (Some may be US region locked havent checked)

Just realized that Eterium is a rebundle from an old Indie Royale bundle. So now the flagship bundle from Humble is rebundling games that were in Indie Royals 3 years ago.

Hmm, probably the worst monthy they have done for me. Already owned KF2, unlocks are pretty crap other than Momodora and Worms W.M.D.

Wish I could skip the next month but I have 1yr sub. I don't really want Rise of the Tomb Raider base game.

I will get the October bundle for sure.  First monthly for me since February or so, finally Rise of Tomb Raider is at the $10ish mark that I have been waiting for.

Sell it in the cesspool. I sold mine for 7.50, if you get the same amount w/a 1 year sub the remaining games only have to be worth 3.50 for you.
Yea that's generally what I do with the headliners I don't want. If its going for $7ish that will work fine.

You can pause your subscription for one month at a time even if you are subscribed for 12 months, you can do that for every other month, just not two months in a row. I'd just contact their support to get correct answers.

Already own Momodora and Stories Untold, but I guess I'll play KF2 and TBS2 (if I ever get to the first). Went ahead and paid for next month to get RotTR. Have the XB1 version, but never got to far into it so I'll just restart on PC.

Generally if it doesn't sell within a couple weeks, I give the key away, especially if it's an indie key. Most the games I post, are bigger name games. I generally only but the developer bundles (THQ, Capcom, EA/Origin, etc.). I was tempted to get the spooky bundle or whatever it's called, but even at $7.69, or whatever it is now, I'm only interested in alien isolation and layers of fear. The other games are worthless imo, and I wouldn't even attempt to sell them. Even at 3.80 apiece, that isn't really THAT great, especially since I'm only passively interested in either title.

is Rise of the Tomb Raider season pass necessary for the a complete experience?
Depends on the price of the Season Pass or Baba Yaga DLC.

Baba Yaga adds a self-contained 3-hour story w/ a really good boss fight at the end. I liked it, despite its shortness and brevity.

The Rise of the TR base-game really lacks boss fights, IMHO. So if you feel like you need a really good boss fight - I'd suggest trying to get just that DLC or Season Pass whenever it's dirt-cheap.

After you reach a certain point in the game, you can actually access this DLC mission and area. I do suggest you take it on ASAP, just to break up the game a bit and give yourself (what I think is) a much needed boss fight.

For anyone who purchased the June 2017 monthly, there should be a Steam key for Tiny Echo waiting for you on your bundle page.
This comes four days after originally saying they would not be giving Monthly buyers a Steam key.

Game was actually one of the best Monthly originals I've played. Very much like an Amanita Design game in terms of its art and atmosphere.

ROTTR is a good-ass game, will re-buy on PC so I can replay it with a not-garbage framerate

Also that last bundle... Yikes. Glad I didn't gamble on it. If anyone wants 5 bucks for Worms WMD, hit me up, tho.

Grabbed a key for Banner Saga 2.  I've found just grabbing keys of games I want from the Humble Monthly bundles has been cheaper, in the long run, than buying in.  Probably even more cheaper if I bought and sold keys I didn't want, but lazy.

Well I suppose if you didn't own the headliner it was a pretty good bundle. I did manage to knock off a couple from my wishlist, but for the first time there's not a game I want to install and play right away.

I am excited about Rise of the Tomb Raider though. I've been waiting on a bundle and it'll take away some of the sting if they decide to include any more of those previously bundled games. That shouldn't be happening at all in my opinion, as this is very much a premium priced bundle -- and it's a blind buy. They're gonna burn people once too often...

I think people will keep coming back, pretty much no matter what. I suspect the bigger turn-off is when Humble almost immediately turns around and rebundles monthly games, which they've done with remarkable regularity. My rule-of-thumb for a while has been to buy if I want the headliner at $12 and if the rest of the bundle is crap, suck it up or try to sell the keys in the trash thread in the first day or two after the reveal. If the headliner isn't worthwhile (to me), I'm skipping it and picking up any reveals that I want in the trash thread later. That's what I did for September: grabbed a key for Banner Saga 2; the rest of the bundle was an easy skip. The new TR game is worth this price to me, though, so I bought in for October.

Mind you, it's likely to be a while before I can run it, but that's a different issue. . . .

Its totally dependent on the headliner. There's been months where the headliner pays for the entire bundle like Stellaris and Total Warhammer. Last month was the weakest in terms of value since that stupid MP COD thing they did a while back. People were paying $11-$12 for those games alone.

ROTR seems to be hovering around $7 on the resale market so far, so if thats not a want, $5 for the rest of the bundle is a pretty easy risk IMO. Most of the monthly games typically sell for $2 per if theres something you dont want in it. That said, this month seems riskier than most since ROTR is a heavy AAA title and there may be more "Etherium" type of titles in it.

It takes no effort to sell extra keys, its definitely worth it.

I'm worried the bonuses will be crap and I'm not excited enough about Womb Raider, Too for a $12 solo purchase.
It's like the first game, but more bloated with collectibles and with a less interesting story, if such a thing were even possible. They also stripped it of the murder porn element from the original.

If all that doesn't set your loins ablaze with anticipation I dunno what will.

In the end, the only thing I didn't own that I wanted was KF2, but that's okay. It's always a bit of a gamble.

Gave the Momodora key to my brother in law. I strongly, strongly recommend the game; interesting pixel style, fun and responsive gameplay. Kinda Souls feeling to the world, with a little bit more Japan. I'd put it in my top five non Metroid/Castlevania Metroidvanias, maybe even top three, behind Ori and maybe Valdis Story.

I played through it yesterday over the course of two sittings and I agree, it's a good one. I think I'd put games like Dust, Guacamelee and Hollow Knight above it, but Momodora definitely holds its own. A much tighter experience than the others; smaller map, feels a bit more linear although there's still the branching paths for items/upgrades and the occasional area that can't be reached until you gain a specific power. The boss fights were a pleasure as well. Only takes about four hours so it keeps itself from becoming repetitive or overstaying its welcome.

Also played through Stories Untold on Friday, another game that can be played in one or two sittings (~3 hours long). Really unique experience with great storytelling and interesting puzzle design.

Those were the only two games I kept in the entire bundle, but fortunately they ended up being as good as they were.

Oh man ever since Humble Bundle started releasing pretty good games in their bundles and monthly bundles, I said to myself, "What Steam sales?"

As a solo player is Dead By Daylight worth picking up for $10 or should I wait for a better sale. It's pretty much the only game from the bundle I actually want :/

DBD is a MUCH better game with friends. That said, if you are interested in playing killer single player can be a lot of fun. Playing single player survivor kinda sucks imo. TBH if it is the only thing you want just look for a split maybe? I would think you could come up with a copy for $4-5 pretty easily. That is cheaper than any sale is going to be.

I'm pretty much the opposite of you, in that Dead By Daylight is the only game in the bundle that I didn't want. I bought the bundle at the BTA tier on day one for $5. So if you decide to get the game, we could do as Pengy suggests and split the bundle. It would cost $5 to upgrade my bundle.

If you're interested, PM me.

Get it from The End, it's worth the $5. If you NEED singleplayer, just play as killer and pretend all of the survivors are bots.

Unless you have PUBG, then you can play dead by daylight by waiting until the bots parachute out at the end of the flight and you can follow them down and become the punch-face killah!
