Uh, I decided to do some searching online for Engineering resumes, and due to finding several examples, it's going to take me longer to finalize my new one. The reason is I'm trying to create the perfect resume, since being a perfectionist is very important to me (there will be a blog entry over my perfectionism problem I have). Every resume I've seen makes mine look terrible, so I'm going to spend time making a new one.
Out of curiosity, those who put one together, did they try making their own format, or tried using a MS Word template or something?
Dont use a template in word. It
s up a lot and becomes a huge pain in the ass. Just type it on word in whatever format you want but dont use a Word template.
Ya, I mean, it's like probably not amazing, but considering she started a month after graduation at the top of the payscale, and gets free grad classes is a huge win (oh and she makes more than both of us did combined).
I look mainly at indeed, but again, it's not really production jobs. My WOM (word of mouth) has really gone down the shitter since I graduated since my profs were most of my contacts to other people. Now I pretty much just freelance for the company I worked for before (who I went to Vegas with), and ya, there are no jobs out there at radio/tv stations that aren't PT or intern.
Yeah my word of mouth is straight gone. Who would of thunk that with all the shitty shows that come out the well would still be pretty dry.
I am thinking about doing what you did and tell someone to just pay my cost of living for a while and then prove that I should be paid......but it sounds so lame.
