Wow... I'm so psyched. Back when I was young (in my 20s - I'm 32 now) I used to be a huge gym-rat. I got up every morning at 5:30, went straight to the gym, worked out for 45-50 minutes, did cardio for 40 minutes and then went to work. I was in really good shape. The day my wife went into labor over 2 years ago was the last time I ever went to the gym. I have a treadmill at home I ran on periodically but never with thew consistency that you need. There was just no time anymore between the baby and commuting to NYC. Ever since I quit going I've kind of felt like shit.
About a month ago I transferred jobs to be 20 minutes from home and this morning I finally got back to the gym. I am going to be sore as hell tomorrow and I was barely able to lift 1/2 of what I used to be able to but I feel fantastic. Hopefully I can shed the 30 lbs I gained over the last 2 years - at least by the summer (when baby #2 is due!!). Woo hoo!!!
