Picked up Y's Memories of Celica Silver edition. I have to say the game is down right Amazing! I got both this and Zelda: Link Between two Worlds, and I'm addicted to Y's, haven't even opened Zelda yet.

Picking up P4 Golden.

Which of thse Y's games are different? Isn't there one where the whole mechanic is just running into people with your sword?
Want to say the very first one? Am I crazy? (disclaimer: I've never played more than a half hour of any Ys game. Went in expecting Zelda. I was wrong. Will retry eventually with no expectations and hopefully enjoy more)

I like everything about Tales of Xillia so far except for Milla's voice actor, which is just bored and uninterested at all possible times. The skits are pretty hilarious, too.

I knew how stoked I was for Bravely Default, but I think it just now sunk in how much I want Persona Q. If I can actually have MItsuru, Kanji, and Koromaru on a team, I'm going to lose my shit.
I've not been following either, as my interest level doesn't really exist for either game, but for the Persona Q one, it sounds as if you need to pick P4 or P3 people and roll with that based on the text of the review -- they didn't mention creating a custom team of members from both games. I wouldn't get my hopes up, if I were you, but I certainly hope I'm wrong for your sake. :)

Yeah, that was my impression as well. The only thing that really made me uncertain was seeing the All-Out Attack screens pop up with characters from both. Only time will tell!

i cant even get past the march escort mission on valkyria chronicles 2. and im playing on easy to avoid frustration.
Yeah every now and then the game will throw you a ridiculously hard mission. I put so many hours into that game until it became too frustrating and repetitive that I put it down. I loved the first one, buy this one was a let down for me.

It's an escort mission, combined with a boss character and a few other overpowered V2 guys who easily knock down anyone in one hit. (And who dodge or block all my attacks).

I've even played several of the optional missions and changed class with a couple characters.

If you can't beat a mission after a few times I would honestly try checking a guide at gamefaqs or youtube, especially if you're playing on easy. I looked at the mission you were on and it is pretty challenging, but it will get more difficult.

whatup whatup~!!! let me tell yallz about Ys Celceta!!

it's cool!!

I literally knew nothing about the game, other than it's Ys, it's coming out, and I was gonna buy it on the account of it being Ys and coming out.

gameplay wise it's just like Ys 7, which is fine coz Ys 7 was one of the funnest games ever made!

super fast slashing, high mobility, can switch characters on the fly, do a lot of special moves,

and now u got parry and dodge mechanics which help bring a lot of skill aspects into the game now.

story telling wise however, it's worse than Ys 7...

what made Ys 7 bad was they gave u a ton of characters that were always talking on behalf of Adol,

whereas in this game... Adol actually talks >_<

he talks in certain flashback scenes, has voice acting when u switch/play as him, and the game has a ton of dialog choices for no reason at all, as if they affect anything in the game.

I really wanna go back and play Felghana to see if the storytelling really was as good as I remember it, or if I'm jus fooling myself since my experience with the series wasnt that much at the time I played it,

but moreso I really oughta check out the translation patched versions of Ys IV after I finish this game

if I'm willing to actually make the time for it lol.

overall tho... Ys Celceta... great game! tons of fun! great field & dungeon music! bad town music, and terrible storytelling.

if u loved Ys 7, you will love this game too!!

there are several psn rpgs with price drops this week.
record of argest war one, two, zero
blazing souls, fate/extra, mimaray iyar, etc.

any impressions?

Record of Agarest War games are alright. Quite repetitive and quite long. Stay far away from Mimana Iyar. The only other one I've played which you mentioned was a bit of was Fate/EXTRA, which I thought was decent but I stopped playing it to play something else and never went back.

if u loved Ys 7, you will love this game too!!
I just wish there were more Vita games I am interested in. Not enough for me to get a Vita yet.

I played Record of Argest War Zero, it's ok but long as hell. I think I put about 30 or 40 hours in and only on the first generation. I heard 2 was sightly better but just sightly.

The Record of Argest war games were about $14.99-$19.99 .

All of the psp/vita rpgs were in the $7.49 price range. Tempted to get Y's 7 for that price, but I really don't need more games I won't get around to playing until 6 months from now.

I need to just press on and beat the Elite 4 and Champion in Pokemon X already.  My son came from behind and beat the game already and is working on getting all the mega evolutions.  Yeah I'm jelly lol.

My backlog, especially RPGs, is HUGE.  I'm avoiding the PSN sales.

Yay, I finally beat Pokemon X.  It's not a hard game by means, but it's the first Pokemon I actually "finished".  I've tried the game since Gameboy (I actually owned a yellow Pikachu edition Gameboy) and I've never gotten to the final Champion.  Fun game.  I will try and hunt down all the Megastones and Mega Evolution Pokemon for post-game eventually, but probably won't do that right away unless my son pushes me to.

My next 3DS game will be Link B2W since I just received it.

Same here on the PSN sales. I got way too many RPGs that I haven't played yet. I've been getting burned lately so I don't want to buy something and it ends up free next month. I am tempted to get one of the Ys games though.

I got today off from work!!! hollaaaaaaa~!!!!

I've finished all my morning errands!

now I'm gonna play Ys,

then make lunch,

then play more Ys,

then do afternoon errands,

then play more Ys,

then make dinner,

then sleep...

it's gonna be a good day!!!

I brought my 3DS to work today, so I might start Zelda Link B2W during my lunch break or something.

Got past the March mission in VC 2. Which was much easier once I figured out to go -around- rather than charging straight down the middle. Even got an A rank on it.

Managing all the rewards needed for switching classes is a pain. I keep having to switch between 3 or 4 different menus to see what awards are needed, who has which awards, and what missions pay out with those rewards.  Wish the game kept it all one screen.

Been a while since I posted here, but have a lot of RPG action going on.

Just bought a 3DS last week and got Fire Emblem: Awakenings, SMT4, SMT Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers and the new Zelda.  I've been spending most of my time with Fire Emblem.  The only one I spent a lot of time before this is the S/T GBA game, which I sunk about 25 hours in before I burned out.  So far, this seems to be an easier game.  The only people I've lost have mostly been due to my stupidity more than anything.  I briefly fired up SMT4 last night.  Looks good.

On my PS3, I've been playing Kingdoms Of Amalaur.  It has been a decent ARPG, but it seems easy to break and has been pretty easy for a while.  Also, way too many side quests.

I've fired up my PS2 to finally finish off FFX before it bites the dust.  I've been sitting right before Sin for a few years, and kinda burned out when trying to find everyone's ultimate weapon.  (Only was able to get Yuna's.)  Started playing it cold and realized I had no clue how the game worked, so had to go back to the manual and refresh myself.

Ys up motha suckaz!!

played a crap ton yesterday lol... made it past the 11 hour mark!!

now I'm totally burnt out on the game lol. Time to take a break!!!

unfortunately, my weekend plans got canceled

so I have a free saturday and a game that I should be playing but don't feel like playing...

needa find something else to do now lol

Tales of Xillia is awesome. Rowen is the man. My only gripe with the game so far (besides Milla's voice, which is oddly growing on me during skits) is the soundtrack. It is incredibly generic and repetitive.

I bought KoA when it was on sale for around $5. It was surprisingly fun but yeah, did get a little easy, and supposedly I chose the most underpowered class (100% Finesse).

On the other hand, the lore was boring and I didn't really care too much about doing the sidequests so much as I just wanted the reward.

Still, I was surprised by it and actually had a bit of fun with it.

I got nowhere near to beating it, but from what I saw about that Guild that reenacts songs/stories over and over seemed interesting.

Now the April mission in VC 2 is pissing me off. Need to spend an entire turn just taking out the boss character so I can deal with the minor soldiers easier.

Good news for you and your plans to spend all your money, Zmonkay: they're considering doing an extra bit of mini-funding to add more companions (there are currently more classes than there are companions) and wilderness environments (time-consuming to make, but gives more of a BG1 feel).

You can do a kickstarter for additional kickstarter goodness? Oh gods, my wallet... :D

And I don't know if I need to level up more for this April mission or what. It's so frustrating when all the previous missions in the month I can breeze through, but the "story" mission becomes a stumbling block. Especially since I'm playing on Easy just so I can have fun with the game and not deal with trying the mission over and over and over hoping that things randomly go my way for once.

The thing is... when you complete these quests, a lot of times you just don't really care about the quest, or the characters. There's not enough development that goes into them.

I completed that entire questline and I don't remember anything about it.

With that mission I just avoided Boss as much as I could and rushed to capture the base camps as fast as possible.Once you get fencer class the game becomes so much easier.

I've got one Fencer. (Avan, the main character) And did manage to kill the boss once, but I wasn't planning enough and let my base get captured after that.

I think I'm playing with too much of a 'kill every enemy I see" instead of a just focus on completing the objectives style.

The game's fun, but it's one of those games where there's really only one 'correct' way to play.

Nah, the game is pretty easy, you can play really dumb and get away with things.
