Just got back from seeing Cats at the local theatre. It was very enjoyable.
Didn't you say you weren't a lady?

I love that feeling in a sports game during your first game where the control scheme and gameplay just click late in the game and you managed to get a win. :D I just got that feeling in MVP 06 NCAA Baseball. I love the ESPN ticker. :)

I can't believe someone put in a request for porn at the request forum. Especially because of his Fiancee moving in.

He may need a new fiance.

After browsing around Amazon, I was stunned to see that the complete Tom Green Show was released on DVD in December. I ran to Best Buy and picked it up.

A small nugget of my life has been completed.
This may be off topic, and it may deserve its own topic, but what the hay:

That's the complete canadian Tom Green Show, there isn't any MTV stuff on there. That having been said, the canadian show was his best work (I think he even says the same thing in his book) anyway so its definetly worth getting.

I need to get my sister some shit for her computer. It is way too slow and I can understand why she does not use it (already gave her my old monitor, case and PSU, and my 9600, but am going to get her some more ram, a usb 2.0 pci card, and probably a new keyboard and mouse soon).

Doesn't use it for what? Gaming? It sounds fine for daily use.

This has to form the head section of a giant robot. Why else would they design it like that?

its alright, but it just turned 4 in december and is getting up there in age. It only has 4 usb ports and I am 99 percent sure they are all 1.1 (plus I could not get the front usb ports where they go so I got them hanging out the back ghetto style).

The power supply she originally had burnt out and considering the PSU was not standard (IBM PC) my parents just hooked one up and hung it out the side since they did not want to buy a new case. Now everything is contained and it won't look as bad as it did before.

She had a GeForce 2 MX 440. Upgrading to a 9600 allows her to be able to bump up the res to something decent.

the real problem with the machine is it only has 256 MB of pc133 ram. It takes a long time for things to load and for the machine to start up, and considering how impatient she is I can understand why she does not use it all that much (she also lives in a dorm so doing homework is not really easy to do, which is why getting a laptop for her is next on my list right after fixing up the desktop).
Woo Hoo! I just got invied to join in on the D&D Online stress test. Feb 8th to the 10th.
I played a little in the first stress test. It seemed like a pretty cool game, but I only played it for like an hour.
Yeah, we just got Guildpact in yesterday. Selling like hotcakes! ...mmmm, hotcakes...
I made a kid cry yesterday in the draft tournement I entered.
Apparently, he won the states tourney and has been building his rating hoping to earn pro points. Now, in the Detroit Metro Area, per the DCI website, I am the 4th or 5th worst limited player in the area. With the way they figure rankings, all of the work this kid has done over the past few months to pad his rating just got fucked up.
I love Samurai Champloo. I'm waiting on the PS2 game, but I can't say I have high hopes for it.
It would be nice if it didnt suck, would'nt it :)
It would be nice if it didnt suck, would'nt it :)
Samurai Champloo is okay. But I find it does have some serious structural flaws.

As for D&D, this will give me a chance to try some of the characters. I wonder how many characters they'll allow? I usually start with a dwarven Cleric of Clangeddin. Luckily Clerics are way overpowered in D&D :)
seagate is hella fast with rebates. I already got back one of mine and I submitted it right around the end of the year.
They haven't processed my rebate yet. I'm worried they may not have received it.

I got an e-mail telling me my one is processing last week, but for the one I just recieved it came out of the blue as I did not get any information regarding its status.

Hmm. I'm thinking of buying a new TV for my room, since mine is probably 10 years old.

At Target, I saw this nifty (I think it was Magnavox?) 15" LCD TV. It had the wall mount thingy, which would be great, because it would give me a lot more space in my room. My question is, is the wall mounting hard to do?

Also, it was 300 dollars. They had a Sony 15" LCD as well, but it was 500. However the colors were much clearer and it was overall a better quality picture. Now, is this too much to pay for that type of TV?

I had this happen just recently with a sizeable FYE rebate. After several rounds of phone tag, I caught up with the regional marketing director to discuss it. He found the rebate info and checked the store records or something to that effect and said that there was no record of my rebate in the system whatsoever. In lieu of it never having been received, he hooked me up and said I should get a check in about 2 weeks.

I blame the girl who handwrote my rebate slip since the register jammed during checkout. Curse you, girl with unbelievably messy handwriting! Well, only a little bit, since it seems it will work out (I got about a week left to wait, give or take).

Hopefully you could speak with someone at seagate if the rebate was sizeable enough to trouble over.

Wowwwwwwwww, after wasting two hours to install/set up Final Fantasy XI on the 360 I walk around for a good 15 minutes, come across my first monster, a tainted hound, and promptly am raped. fuck thisssss, I don't have the patience for this game.

Today's shopping trip, I found 4 manuals for SNES games for 50 cents a piece. Final Fantasy II, FFIII (and poster), Chrono Trigger, and Illusions of Gaia. I only had FFIII... but if I ever come across cart only of the games at least I have manuals.
My mother got a Teal Nintendogs DS with Nintendogs Best Friends and a Red DS backpack case for 110. I got to keep the case.
Also found Dragon Warrior cart at Goodwill for 2 bucks.

I loved that game. Sucked at it, but I loved it. I should try to beat it sometime, I haven't played for ages.

Yeah, Tainted Hounds are too tough for noobs. Depending on where you're at, you're supposed to fight bees and rabbits and stuff like that. There's a way to check every creature to see if you can beat it.

Wall mounting isn't all that hard, provided you know how to find the stud.

There's something to be said for RPGs that have 1 save point in the entire game. :D

By the way... I just finished of Dragon Quest 8 and want to start into another RPG.
Any Suggestions?

Lmao no kidding. Wasn't it like at the castle or something?
Lmao no kidding. Wasn't it like at the castle or something?
Yep. To save, you talked to the priest at the church at the start of the game. So, after doing anything, you had to make your way back there to get it recorded.

After I beat DQ8 I'm going to play Radiata Stories. Also Tales of Legendia comes out this week.

I'm playing Shadow Hearts right now. Its pretty good so far, so you might want to give it a spin (poor Judgement Ring pun intended!).

Radiata Stories is great, it manages to tie an interesting combat system, humor and a good story together into a nice neat 25ish hour game.

All I can say is watch out, cause the first couple hours are kinda boring. Once you get the ability to recruit people, that's when the fun of Radiata starts. Gotta pay your fun tax. And I liked the combat system, I just preferred Star Ocean's take on the system instead. I liked the fact that I could change who I was. Being Jack all the time got a wee bit boring by the end.

True, but he did get 4 different weapons which I felt made up for it.

True, it made up for it somewhat, but I still feel they could have done more, be it give Jack more weapon types or let us control the other characters. Being Elwen would have been awesome.
