Some monumental news for the 2-d fighting world-- Play Magazine chose Capcom Fighting Evolution for the Xbox as Game of the Month! wow, if that's not a sign that the summer game slump is here, I don't know what is
I can see why people would like it, but I can't get into that game.

I've been playing MAME and it's so easy to do stuff with the keyboard. Kind of makes me dislike controllers now. Also, I feel that KoF 2003 is better than 2002, and probably 2001 and 2000 (I haven't played them yet). Thoughts on this?[/QUOTE]
I've got a friend who kicks ass with a keyboard! He has a natural talent for fighting games, but when he gets on a keyboard, he's 100x better.
anyone on here play guilty gear x2 #reload (xbox) online? i'm a total newb, but i'd like to learn the ways of a more experienced gg player. my gamertag is peyj.
I play it occasionally, but the lag really sucks. I don't think I've had a match with any less than a half-second delay on moves.
I'm not the shiznit by any means, just another crackhead Jam player, but this is what I've found to be important--
1. learn which basic attacks chain together, which is different for each character.
2. learn which special moves can finish or follow up with a combo
3. learn which basic attacks can counter and stagger, also different for everyone
4. be able to recognize all the characters special/super moves
5. make a habit of using faultless defense against special/super moves- alot of super moves can do a significant amount of damage even when you are blocking!
6. play the computer a lot. it's one of the few fighting games where the computer is a worthy(i.e. hard as hell) opponent.
know that stuff and you can do pretty well online.
