Would anyone be interested in a CAG Chicago meet up at game works (in woodfield)? They have a special for $10 on thursday for all you can play from 9 to midnight.

I'll be there. ryosnk knows who I am. Blackout, dpac, weaponx, you guys coming?

If I can get an idea of how many, I may be able to work out a group rate with Doc. Anyone been there lately and get in for $12 instead of $15? Doc said that was our CAG rate, but I am not sure if he will remember.

I don't think I'll make it out this weekend, but thanks for remembering, slowdive. :D I've been sitting on an extra copy of DQIX for a long time.
 
Of those who are going, what time will you be there? I'm trying to accommodate a 3rd person but he gets out if work kinda late Saturday.

Most of us get there around noon or 1 pm, but it's not official or anything. When we get enough people we usually take a few minutes to trade/sell.

Wow, this is lining up with me quite nicely. Spoke with my bros and the time frame that works for us all is 12-6pm so we'll leave at noon and should be there by 1 and probably leave around 5 to be back by 6. By the way, my government name is Gabriel and look forward to meeting some you CAGs. I'll be the suspicious looking tall, non-discript fat Hispanic dude with the ridiculous mustache (mustache is part of my Halloween costume this year, I'll be dressing as pre-AIDS Freddy Mecury).
 
I'll be there around 12:30pm. I got nothing for trade but I'll be willing to buy.

Maybe this time we should have a Chicago CAG tournament in street fighter, kof and NBA jam.

I'd really like to attend one of these, but I get paid on Mondays. I also have a bunch of stuff I've been meaning to put up on eBay (PS2 rpgs, guides, etc.) and the idea of selling or trading locally instead is appealing.

Question: Does GG have any of those dancing games or skeeball/air hcckey type games? I checked the list but couldn't tell. My daughter makes me take her to the arcade at Gurnee Mills every time we go, and she prefers those over cabinet stuff.

Nope, it is more of a vintage arcade in terms of games. No skeeball or any 'ticket games' like that though. They do have a pinball room that I haven't been in yet, but they only open it certain days.
 
Very tempting! Not sure if I'd have much for trading, but I've wanted to check out this place for a while now. Need to check the schedule, as always.

2. What kind of stuff do people usually bring for trading? Do we see full arsenals, A-material, or just a few things here and there?

I think weve settled at aroud noon-ish. I will be there around 1. I've never been before so I dont know trading etiquette either. Since Ive never been I dont really know what anyone looks like but you can all spot me by the gang of hooligans that that I roll with.
 
Don't plan on playing any pinball unless you want to stay until 8 or 9PM. They don't have the staff to keep both sections open during the day, and usually don't open the pinball room until later in the evening.

Well, I'm not too worried about people picking me out of a crowd...I'm 6'5", so hard to miss. I'll look at my collection and pick out stuff I'm willing to part with. And if anyone's got a boxed system (handhelds, too), I'd be down to trade for or buy them.
 
Does anyone coming to the meet up have a Game Boy Advance Sp they would sell/trade?
 
So OF COURSE, none of Saturday's trains stop at Congress Park, which is like a block away from the Ghost. Guess I need a new plan to get out there.

I really want to go, as I love the Ghost. I also want to update my retro collection so trading/selling would be a plus. Unfortunately October is brutal for me. In addition to my two regular jobs, I'm working at a haunted house and I need to be there by 4. And the wife works saturday mornings so I really don't see myself bringing my 5-year old to there for only 3 hours.

Hopefully next time I'll join y'alls.

I haven't called yet, I put in a bid on a condo today and this is the first time I've been on CAG in 2 days. 1.5 hours and I am still not caught up with the threads!

I'll try to call tonight and see if Doc is in. If not, I will try again tomorrow. UPDATE: I called, but Doc isn't in. I left my name and number with the guy. If I don't hear from Doc in the afternoon, I will shoot him an email.

IDK how much I will have for trade other than the GC for blackout and Infamous 2 for weaponx (if he still wants it) I may bring some penny guides if anyone has some junk guides to trade.

I may be able to pick people up at train stations if they are on the way.

Well, fine then...I'll find the other tall guy, figure he's a CAG, and go from there.

For those familiar with BNSF...would Brookfield be the best stop to take to get there, or a different one? Congress Park is right there, but none of the weekend trains stop there.

I just tried to get Doc again and I guess justI missed him. I sent him an email asking about the group rate. When you guys get there I would mention CAG either way and maybe the $12 rate will be valid. Doc is working tomorrow, but I don't know when he comes in.
