I feel the same way about Owen Hart. I know a lot of people want him in, but let's face it, before his death he was a career mid-carder and I don't think his career alone is worthy of Hall of Fame status. Doesn't mean he wasn't loved an respected, but that doesn't mean he is HOF worthy. Same with Koko.
I'll be watching NXT if only for Danielson and to see how the format of the show is presented. I'm guessing they're gonna go the Though Enough style back when it was an actual reality show, or at least I hope they do.
Y'all actually going to watch NXT tonight, or wait for a review and follow up on Hulu if it sounds alright?

I'm contemplating the latter.
I'll Tivo it, watch "Let The Right One In" with my wife and watch it after I hear about it. :)
By all accounts he's a wonderful person - but that alone doesn't mean he deserves to be in WWE's hall of fame. Bobby Eaton's a great guy too, but that alone doesn't warrant an HoF induction - being one half of two incarnations of one of the best teams ever sure does though.
But it is also the WWE Hall Of Fame, the Hall Of Fame that created solely to honor Andre The Giant after he died. The WWE Hall Of Fame has always been a place for Vince to reward his loyal workers. If they can induct a great guy like Koko and he can use that to increase his indy bookings, why is that a bad thing?

There are still real hall of fames for wrestlers like George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Cauliflower Alley Club

I'll record it and watch it later with very low expectations. Besides, Southland is on at 10 on TNT. New eps start next week!
If you guys screw up my weekly dose of Velvet Sky's ass with your bitching I'm going to be upset.
Not only that, but Jay often uploads matches and such. I hope Jay takes all this as some friendly ribbing.

who is danielson?

i think myke eats angry cookies before watching raw because he is always angry about it. too angry. what has jay done to you?

i liked raw so much. best part was watching randy orton hit cody rhodes. i hate cody. he's too short. randy should have gotten someone bigger to join legacy.
Has anyone ever been inducted into the HoF while still being on the active roster?
Ric Flair 2 years ago.

I'll probably give the first NXT episode a download or wait for the Hulu release, dependent on the results.

I may pass if I read something equivalent to "WWE buried Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) in a match against, returning, Josh Matthews. WWE even had Bryan Danielson tap to his own submission, Cattle Mutilation. Afterward, Kung Fu Naki ran down the ramp, took a squat, and, after shouting 'You rike fly lice', proceeded to empty the contents of his bowels upon the face of Danielson. Revealing, in fact, that Kung Fu Naki does indeed like fried rice. Danielson, on the other hand, didn't seem to enjoy it."

Buzzzzzzzzzzz!

According to LOP, Ultimate Warrior was to be this year's "marquee" induction into the Hall Of Fame. He was on board with the idea for some time, but has since backed out. The next rumored induction is Stu Hart. There's also a chance that Carlos Colon gets in this year, which would explain why Carlito finally has something to do on TV.

And, um...yeah.

And JJ, I --need-- that shirt. First, it was the 'Never Forget' shirt, and now it's that 'American Dolphin' shirt. You guys are bad influences on my wallet.

He wants a "bigger" Rhodes. That's easy.

Man, that would be an amazing stable: Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, Jr., and this 'Dustin Rhodes' guy. Yep. Um. Yep. I wonder why WWE never brought in this 'Dustin Rhodes' guy. He has a Big Bully Busick-inspired mustache--and a relation to a former big name in pro wrestling. I predict a bright future for Dustin Rhodes. Perhaps WWE can sign him and have someone real-established, like Primo Colon, mentor him?

I skimmed through Elimination Chamber 2010 and just started Raw. Last week, on the Bryan and Vinny Show, they pieced together a story where the Undertaker would blade and WWE would send in a medic to attend to the Undertaker. The medic would be Shawn Michaels, and that would lead to a similar result as WWE provided at Elimination Chamber 2010. I prefer their prediction to what WWE did. Michaels just opening a grate and conducting business was a little uninspired.

those videos were really bad quality. i didn't want to watch all the way. is there any good quality video of danielson? i checked the wwe site and i like justin gabriel. he looks like he could be awesome.

The latter, for sure.
Your NXT main event - Daniel Bryan vs Chris Jericho.

Ok, I'll watch.
I've been baited. Hopefully, it's not a total job on Danielson's part.

And I'm watching Raw, and Michael Cole tried to use a "strong style" reference regarding you-know-who, which reminded me of how Michael Cole once said CM Punk knows how to do a snap powerslam because of his Muay Thai training. I'm not a fan of Michael Cole--and certainly don't regard him like how J.R. does.

Who ever does WWE's video promos deserves to be paid better. They do good stuff. This Michaels-'Taker video package is fantastic.

Now I'm excited. No way Danielson will go over, but it'll still be a damn good match.

Man, Danielson is getting a lot of hype from WWE and, in turn, the Miz. I also dig how Matt Striker is the host, and how Cole and Matthews aren't talking a lot during segments and are letting the wrestlers do their thing. This is weird. This can't be WWE.

It's good to see Danielson getting a lot of focus. That name is horrible though.

Colt Cabana's pro should have been Braden Walker.

Heath Slater reminds me of the kid everybody knew in high school - the one member of the high school band who was oblivious to the fact that everyone hated him, and the one who made everybody groan when he somehow found out about the parties you were going to throw and then summarily crashed them.

"hey guys who likes yahtzee?"

EDIT: Keep yer tongue in your mouth, yeh fuckin' grit.
 Punk's facial expressions are fucking awesome
Ah-greeed!

Josh Matthews seems like he has the potential to be a good heel commentator if they gave him an 'Internet smark' gimmick. I say this based on the comment he made about how people have expressed and express on the Internet about they don't particularly like Michael Cole. Hmm. :whistle2:k

I don't know about you guys, but I've enjoyed WWE NXT so far! Some great looking potential, but also so not so great potential. Its just awesome to see new talent! Danielson vs. Jericho? Thank you WWE!

I like the Miz but putting him with Bryan Danielson would be like asking Starr Jones for diet tips.

Also, man I love the white ring ropes.

Gotta wonder if that suicide dive miss spot was planned or WWE/Jericho's way of humbling Danielson.

Aside from that spot, Danielson really got a good push tonight. His match with Jericho really put him over more than I thought it would. Cole and Matthews surprised and also put over Danielson more than I figured they would.

Wowsers.

Good work, WWE.

ok.. just a couple thoughts, what was up with the camera angle from the hard cam?
and Danielson is really really small compared to WWE guys.

Cole was extra awful tonight.

I actually enjoyed the show. There were way too many commercials and WWE plugs though. That was a problem with ECW too.

I was thinking Michael Rappaport at the beginning of Higher Learning.

Color me impressed. The show was good. Great to see Danielson actually get a ton of air time, and they let him get in a lot of offense, despite it being a pretty short match.
