Jade Empire $14.99 new at ebgames.com and other markdowns(w/Halo 2!!!)

I'll be honest, I got Jade Empire and just didnt care for it. Luckily, since then I had a great trade that pleased both sides, but my problem with the game was that it had very long conversations (which WASN'T a problem) BUT the cutscene design, the camera angles and whatnot, were so generic and static that it became almost like watching "Reading Rainbow" and having storybook narration. Games like Indigo Prophecy and other adventure games with actual moving cameras and more cinematic direction immerse you more. They really need to fire whoever directs their cutscenes.

Alright this is a pretty basic question, but how'd you do that? Last time I tried combining a used game with a new game and applying the CAG EB coupons, but I got screwed. The order went through as expected, but then I received two separate shipments and found an extra shipping charge on the new game.

should be no extra charge, the price you agree to at checkout is it. Wether they ship 1 shipment or 2. Mine was 14.99+.99-saver-cag15-edge+6%tax=16.67
 
If I hadn't finally found PoP:WW for GCN at $10 recently, I'd be all over the Xbox port. Jade Empire is definitely getting my money though. Thanks much, OP! :D

generally all prices are YMMV so you got to check the store for exact pricings. I'd say yeah most changes on the online site does NOT reflect instore prices.. but it never hurts to call a b&m store to check prices. (on some games don't give them like a 10 games.. generally ask for 2-4 games and they won't mind.. and also .. never call on saturdays when they are busy that'd just piss them off and the workers dont' need that)..

but I broke when i saw the LE of Jade empire for 30.. its a great game worth 15.. has everything you could possibly want out of a Bioware outing.
 
I wish EB would drop their pre-played price at the same time they drop their new prices. They make a higher margin on the used games, so I can't understand why they wouldn't.

I've been eyeing Jade Empire for some time. Both the wife and I are big on KOTOR I&II (Although #2 wasn't Bioware's), and Jade Empire doesn't seem to be much different as far as gameplay goes.

I'm going to drop by there tomorrow on my lunch break and check things out. Thanks for the info.

The prices in store are never the same as the webpage in things like this... the easiest way to verify this is because the used price is still more expensive then the new price. This is just one of those weird ebgames.com price drops that happen every so often.

Might as well save yourself a drive and just order online.

Circuit City hates me at this point, since when any online site drops it's prices (normally EB / Best Buy) I print the ad out and go that night to pick it up :lol:

I don't want to take chances that EB will raise their price in the morning, so I'm headed out to go get me a minty fresh Prince of Persia: WoW for 13.50 =D

I'm gonna be working at the auto center in the mall tomorrow anyways... it's like a 3 minute walk for me. If it's a bust, I at least got some exercise. :D
 
Jade Empire and POP 2 are very tempting.

I would buy JE for $15 if if were the Limited Edition.

Why not $10 EB?

I have the penny guides for each game.

I think I have an extra of each for trade . . . PM a tradelist if interested.
 
Bam, scored PoP 2 from Circuit City for 13.50 by PM'ing the online printout, since CC still charges $30 and I got the 110%.

Been waiting a long time to get this for a good price =D

It could be that you just saw the separate charges. Generally if they send multiple shipments, they will charge your card separately, but the total will be the same as your original amount. They just prorate the shipping based on the cost of the item, I believe. Last time that happened, I had a charge of $16.xx for the main item, and 1.xx for the 99 cent shipping fodder.

I bought JE for $25 at BB (after GGC of course :lol:) and it is well worth the $25. At $15 its basically a must have!

And for Halo 2? What else can I say except...BUY IT!

But I assume everyone who has an Xbox already has this game :D

haveing a wife that games really rocks. my wife ASKS me to play Ocarina of Time! Basically she enjoys watching, and looking at the guide. She loved Wind Waker with the GBA connectiviity. :)

I'm thinking I also get JE with a CC price match. I have to go to buy a new microwave anyway. :(

Nice deal. I may wait for the Jade Empire Collector's Edition. Maybe I'll pick up PoP2, but if not, I'm sure it'll be cheap for either the same price or a little less soon.
