I guess I'll be the first to ask the inevitable, if we use SYWR points or a gaming coupon on a purchase where we were to buy Portal 2, MK and a points card to meet that $120 threshold, would the gaming coupons effect the total to the point where we would still receive the $60 coupon?
100% of all Kmarts had Super Street Fighter IV 3DS. It was our #1 3DS title yesterday.

If a store did not have it on the floor that is another matter, and a more frustrating one.
What differentiated SSF from other 3DS titles? I called 3 stores and none of them said they "had it". Knowing they did, I should have pressured to check the back room.

Any ideas on how to push the $120 mark for 2 games in New Jersey stores? I want to get MK and Portal 2, but our stores don't sell xbox live cards, so I'd like to keep it minimal.
I am unable to look at facebook from work. Can someone briefly summarize the promotion? Thank you.
Regarding the FB promo.
Buy $40 worth of game software get $15 coupon
Buy $120 worth of game software get $60 coupon

I am wondering the same thing. Or will Kmart be selling cards again before then. I see these cards in every other store around, Target, Best Buy, etc.

Wow. When is the promo period valid? Thank you.

EDIT: The offer lasts 4/17-4/23, the week that Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat release.

I don't know if you can clarify but if you purchased both Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat you would recieve a $60 coupon, and you could get $10 off a $20 points card ONCE, or TWICE?

Like one for each of the titles or only one savings per purchase.

Buy Portal 2 and MK, get $60 coupon and $40 in points for $20 would be sweet!

Awesome promo. I assume it's any $120 worth of games, correct? In which case, that might be a good excuse to pick up something like Shift 2 then (since I don't have my SYWR points from Crysis 2 and won't get the GC til too late) since I'm not interested in MK.

And then I'd get LA Noire free. Oh lord, that may be too much for my poor heart.

Asked Josh this on his FB page. He said he will be looking that up to give us a answer

It's a great promo, but only if you're interested in the games that come out that week. I'm not interested in either portal or MK, so I'll probably pass.

Might have to get clarification on that since his FB post says software and only the points cards were tied to either game with his wording

Concerning the $60 coupon - can this coupon be redeemed for a game that costs $59.99, or do you have to go over the $60 in order to use this coupon?

I grabbed the black 3DS with SSF4 Sunday. The actual system was in the back, the accessories were lined up on an endcap all nice, and the games were in the glass counter at the register, all neatly organized. Oddly, they didn't have the Nintendo launch titles out, but they had most if not all of the 3rd party ones.

As for the 4/17 promo, GD IT JOSH ARE YOU TRYING TO BANKRUPT ME? Seriously, that's ridiculous.

That's just it though -- if I'm reading this correctly, it's any $120 in games. So you don't have to get just those.

Total pre-tax has to be over $60 for the coupon to work. Josh is a clever girl.

According to Josh's FB post it has to exceed $120 Pre-Tax in order to get the $60 coupon. Points cards do count in this promo. All gaming software including MK and Portal 2

Wow, that's a hell of a deal. No Kmart nearby, but I will drive to one for this deal, or twice, if the coupon can't be used immediately.

Is there a limit to just one $60 coupon per customer? Could I do two transactions of $120+ each and get two $60 coupons? So, would something like this be possible...'

Transaction 1: Socom 4 bundle (if you have it) - Get $60 coupon

Transaction 2: Mortal Kombat + Crysis 2 + PSN card - Get $60 coupon

Or do I need a card that would limit it to one coupon per customer?

You can buy points card in order to get to $120. Josh pointed that out and that is why he did the 10 off the 20 dollar cards in order to help people get to 120 pre tax
REALLY want DW7, but $10 seems low considering the other offers.
Its not really low when you consider I havent seen a offer on this game from anybody so in that regard this offer becomes the best offer

Right, but it can be used 2-3 weeks later with the $60 promo.

Absolutely staggering deal on MK/Portal 2. I was already going to get both of them near launch, all this guarantees is that I'll get them both at Kmart, wish some PSN money and be happy as shit about it.

My Amazon spending has plummeted since Kmart stepped up.

Definitely interested in the answer to this as well. My Amazon pre-order of Portal 2 hangs in the balance...
I can't remember Josh, are you guys going to be carrying the MK Kollectors Edition? That would make the $120 threshold pretty easy to cross.
+1 here on this question.

On a second through.... what is the cheapest accessory that can add to the 59.99 game to use the 60 dollar coupon. Also, Does the coupon has expiration day of 30 days or 3 month? Xbox better release a demo soon for mk...
I just noticed this when I got a copy of a digital receipt--apparently SYWR members can earn up to 15,000 bonus points when you shop this Saturday (4/2), according to the following tiers:

$50-74.99: 5,000 points
$75-99.99: 10,000 points
$100 or more: 15,000 points
Is there a list of excluded/qualifying items? I was wondering if I should wait on Shift 2 until Saturday to get an extra $5 back.

I also second this... you mention this is a coupon and not SWYR points so the $60 coupon would essentially excluded 98% of gaming titles. Or do you have it planned so it prints out as 2 $30 or 3 $20?

That isn't the answer to his question.

He wants to know if the actual $60 coupon needs to be used on a purchase over $60 pre-tax or if it would work on a game that is 59.99 essentially getting a new game free.

If you need to spend over $60 I would recommend the coupon just be 59.99 or 59.95 so there is no problem getting one game at release with it. However the intended purpose with that price is probably to make you buy another item.

Yeah, it being 60.00 pretax, is definitely something I'm not a fan of.
Is there a list of excluded/qualifying items? I think we need Josh to comment on whether games would qualify for this...

So much hate on the facebook front.
Haven't seen it but my girlfriend messaged me from work.
So quick to turn on josh after weeks of deals.
Real dick move on some folks part. Its a hell of a deal, anyone who doesn't think so is a damn moron.

I'm sure it's MUCH easier for Josh to get these deals approved with the caveat that they end in an exact amount to require an additional purchase. That's the way they've always been and wouldn't expect it to ever change.

I actually havent seen anything really negative on the FB to tell you the truth. Everything looks either question based or being praised as it should be because Kmart/Josh doesnt have to offer deals like these

Eh, I'm not feeling the deal as it relies too much on $20 PSN cards to be close to worthwhile and I never see them around my stores. I'll just wait for the price drops they always have a few weeks later.

Well according to the comments here 90% of CAG's couldn't get that game if you look back on the posts starting at 8 am Sunday.

I may not always get the KMart deals since KMart doesn't do preorders and doesn't carry the newest PSP games anymore but I always visit this thread on a release day and feel sorry for your team as you do all this awesome stuff for KMart, but it falls apart at the store level.

I did vote for you on all the CAG awards though.

I definitely saw them; funny thing with proof of delivery though, I have signatures that prove they are accounted for which just makes me more upset.

Did that game come in a different shipment than others or something like that maybe?

What's the deal with the coupons now? I mean how long are they good for? Do they require the one week wait? and so on..

edit: Also what if we spend SYWR bringing our total to less than $120? No $60 coupon then or how will that work?

New Jersey, how will that work if they dont have points cards?

Josh, you might want to make it a habit to keep posting big deals like this early. There are a ton of very good questions sitting out there that when researched and answered are probably going to help this deal run much smoother. I'm sure we're coming up with scenarios not yet catered for.

Yeah I'm just asking questions that were already asked to put them in one place and I know they will be reasked a hundred times over. Once some of us know though we can let everyone else know the answers ourselves.
Yes, this is my version :)
I like it a lot. Buy Portal 2/MK (maybe) and some points cards, get LA Noire for free.
