I just got the LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon (7965) for $87.49 from TRU. They had the price as $112, and when I removed the promo polybag it reduced by $25. I selected store pickup so we'll see if theory let me add the promo items there.

Did you also use the code (947271) for an additional $10 off. I just picked up the Anakin/Sebulba Podracer set for $55 after taxes.

Dayum, $77.49 is a KILLER deal on the Falcon. I'm thinking long and hard about this...

Doh!

Edit: Talked to CSR, have to wait for the order to post properly before canceling and re-ordering with the extra $10 off. Thanks for the heads up!

Picked up Ramses Pyramid for $9.99 (reg. $30) at Target. It wasn't on clearance, it was marked down at that price. Really good price if only for the tan baseplate + some tan bricks.

There were some other games marked down as well...Banana Balance was 4.99, Pirate Plank was 7.50. LEGO Champion was $24.xx but that one was clearance with a red tag, unlike the rest.

Could be worth checking your local Target for, at least.

Looks like I will be getting some money back. Rebuy/Retun :D

Thanks for the heads up guys.

My order is ready for pickup, but when I called back the Rep said they couldn't even cancel the order but that they would add a $10 credit to my account for my next order. Works for me, especially since we haven't really started our Christmas shopping yet.

Once you place your order online and it is confirmed for pick up, you order is complete. You can not add items to the purchase in store unless you return/rebuy and lose your discount.

Just so you know, if you do a return/rebuy you will only get the $112 price, as this is the price that shows on the website.

The $87 price only shows up during checkout, so you will not be able to get an adjustment to this price.

I purchase the Millenium Falcon originally back in September for 104.99. The online deal I figured I couldn't pull in-store so I just did the order online pickup (rebuy) and returned under the original receipt.

i ordered the mil falcon online...used the 10 off promo code and the 25 off 100, removed the free items, selected instore pickup - when i got there asked about the free magnet - manager came over - the boy and i walked around the store for a bit - manager came found me and handed me the falcon, the free spaceman magnet, and some polybag starwars set and said have a nice day - so got it all for around 80 bucks including tax....great deal...thanks.
What did you order?
I tried to get in on the Falcon deal. Seems like it's out of stock at my local store. It doesn't straight up say it's out of stock - it just says "we were unable to fulfill your order". I'm reading that as out of stock.

I'll try again throughout the week. I'd like to get in on this. This is the sort of "iconic" Star Wars set I've been waiting for and the price is right.

I don't collect the Star Wars stuff but I loved Star Wars as a kid. So the kid in me demands one good Star Wars set and this thing is awesome.

I just tried getting that Falcon deal. Removed the freebies, selected store pickup, but the $25 was not taken off. I guess TRU finally figured out the glitch since SW LEGO was supposed to be excluded from that deal. Unless someone here knows how to get that extra discount...

I ordered the Frigate once I saw the post and it is waiting for pick up. I almost grabbed the Falcon but my son wants the figures from the Frigate more. Wished I would have grabbed both anyway. Now I need a hot deals like this on Black Pearl and Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and/or Queens Anne's Revenge to make it an AWESOME Christmas for the little one (and for me too).

They might of. When I went to get my orders yesterday, the employee told me about every pickup today was the Millenium Falcon; a total of 13 he said. In fact, one guy was picking his up while I was there getting mine.

I was thinking about getting the Black Pearl but it would have been around 80 with tax for a local pickup. saving only 20 on MSRP, but 30 on TRU.

My store had maybe 20 or so orders to fill when we opened this morning. I guess sometime overnight they fixed the glitch as we got several calls asking about price matching the $112 online price.
Death Star for $149, free shipping, on eBay... but it's shipping from Hong Kong and a seller with 11 (100%) feedback. Feedback looks screwy, as there's only one listed (from 2004) but they have that 11 rating.

Do I roll the dice or not? I have to assume eBay will have my back if a box of rocks shows up given how specific the listing is.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-Star-W...589?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb8b487bd
Personally, I would follow the "if it's too good to be true" route. Even though you'd be protected, why waste the time? I mean, they're so lazy they ripped off another seller's image that has a watermark. Then they put in a description "The pictures of the box are my own, and I will report anyone copying the pictures above will be reported to eBay." WTF? The original picture is from this listing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-Star-W...634?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27bb45c232

As you pointed out, 11 feedback. Ten as a buyer most recently six years ago. Now the seller has two listings for a total of 10 Death Stars. Seems like a classic stolen credit card/hacked account ploy. It could be totally legit, but is it really worth the hassle to find out?

Picked up my Millenium Falcon from TRU today. I also asked for and received the freebie magnet and polybag without any issue. When they got my set from the store pickup area I noticed there were a bunch more in there for other people. Glad I got in on the deal when I did.

One of these was posted on SlickDeals a while back, and it is definitely a scam. All you'll get is a big headache trying to get your money back.

Got a members only TRU 20% coupon in my email this morning for today only. May try to pick up the black pearl since its down to $85 this month. Will it work on sale items?

Not sure. If it worked, my guess it would look like this...
$109.99 x .8 = 87.99 (which would qualify it for $10 off, not $25) - 10 = $77.99 (22% off retail i.e. non-TRU tax)

Was hoping the 20% would come off second so it would be $68.

Forgive me if this has been asked before:
I know the magnets are glued now, but is it just the legs glued to the base or is the torso glued to the legs also? I ask because my local TRU has an overstock of the giveaway magnet figures and they told me I could purchase a bunch for a penny apiece if I make a $20 purchase of any product, not just LEGO. I was thinking of getting a bunch of knights and spacemen and just slapping new legs on them, but if the torsos are also glued, well, I don't have much use for just their heads. Thanks!

Head and helmet are the only removable parts. But according to this link all you need is hot water to dissolve the glue. Haven't tried it myself, but it looks like it does the trick.

I've got to head out today and get that black spaceman. Although, without the classic helmet, those retro spacemen just don't look right.

Heck, for a penny each I'd buy a bunch of each just to have some nifty magnets.
Bonjour everyone! Still in Paris, but coming home for Xmas. Onsale.com has a 10.00 giftcard for 6.99....can use it at TRU.

Btw, I was at Tru in Paris and saw the new minifig collectibles in hard plastic cases...no more feeling for the ones you want over here.....
Are they putting them in boxes now?!?!?!

Is Lego doing this?!

I could see some, like me, not wanting any of this.

I took cutie's statement to mean that the cardboard display box is enclosed in a locked see-thru plastic case and you have to tell the cashier how many you want and then she opens it, pulls them out and rings them up, hence no chance to pre-feel the bags before purchase. That's just how I read it anyway, I could be wrong. Wouldn't it cost LEGO too much money to put each individual figure bag in its own plastic case?

Nice to see you back here again, cutie/Meggie! :D I will return your pm shortly.

Very close Sean!

No, each plastic minfig bag is enclosed in a small hard plastic see through case, kind of like a thick baseball card box....yeah, I can't believe they took the time to put each of these minifigs in their own plastic case. Should have taken a picture.....but I don't think Lego did this...I think this was just Toysrus doing it.

Btw, husband was traveling for work in Asia, and bought some legos in Korea...mostly small sets. But each of these sets were fat, and heavy....opened them up, and there were extra freebies in there. Some had generic lego containers, but we also got the SW speeder set, and other Lego City polybags....never had that happen before. I think out of 12 sets he bought, 9 had extra freebies.

Has anyone else come across this?

Good to see familiar faces!

Don't count on it... most of Series 1 is like gold as far as AFOLs are concerned.

Does LEGO.com ever have any deals? Just getting into this thread since my daughter is starting to get into Legos. She wants the Belville Horse set; however, $40 seems steep for what is offered int he set.

There are season clearance sales at Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart among other B&M stores depending where you live. Lego.com does do a clearance sale but what there is, how much and how fast it sells out depends on when you catch onto the deal.

Have to confess guys, I have no idea who Air is....only Air Supply.

Can't believe while I was sleeping here, Amazon had the police set for 50% off...sheesh.

Don't know how to add pictures, but I just went to a kohl's department store and they had a neat hallmark christmas ornament that was Lego darth vader. It looks like an oversized minifigure about 3 inches tall. Detail is awesome.
