Castle set #7094 The King's Seige is definitely on clearance at Target stores. I picked up two today for $25 a piece (normally $100). Here's the DCPI number in case you want to call around first before using up gas: 204-00-0780. Good luck.

You are the luckiest little bastard!

I'm moving to Virgina... oh wait... I don't want to live there, not even for cheap LEGOs. :p

I went to one in CT, they had the big Castle I think, but no clearance.

On Nov. 2 Aldi stores are getting some toy and nintendo deals. A couple of Lego deals...the best being the Coast Guard Heli for $30.

Part luck, part foot work bigdaddy. After I saw it on clearance at that other store I checked the price at my local store which was sold out (I remember seeing them somewhere). The computer said $25, so I knew if I could just find it at another Target I could return and rebuy at my store to get the $25 price. Called a bunch of stores and found one 35 miles away that had a couple in stock. Drove there and scanned them and they were $25 there also, but nobody put clearance stickers on them! I thanked the baby Jesus, paid for my purchase, and skipped outta the store.

nice fine... that's Sunday... hmm....

I already picked up that set at Kmart for 30... but if you look further they have that Cargo copter and the Jet 3-in-1 for only 15.

I know the Jet is like 21 or 22 and it has some great pieces in it.

I'm really tempted to go there.:bouncy:

You lucky bastard!!!

The problem up here is LEGO in the last 3-4 years started selling a lot better. I used to be able to get sets on clearance and now nothing. I can guarantee you that the cheapest it would be would be (English is an odd language) $75, people would buy it up thinking it was the second coming. I live in an area where all the people act like they are so so poor, yet they buy all this shit you don't need.

I'm going to see if I can get to a Target later today, there are 6 or so within 50 miles, but I'm not going to drive around the state looking for them. :)

I went to one today, they had none, but they haven't in awhile. And I just went to Enfield CT(Dead home of LEGO USA) last week, they had some, you couldn't tell me then? :p

Lego® Mars Mission, City or Bionicle building sets BUY ONE, GET ONE AT 50% OFF till Nov 8th

At retail Kmart only, not online.

I'm not being hopeful, but I think they restocked last time. ... I don't think they had any MM left though. City doesn't amuse me but I could try, and I hate bionicle.
K-Mart having two sets of LEGOs?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

:)

TRU has 25% off LEGO Racers and Belville.
yeah tell me about it, they had nothing like 3 weeks ago, but then they reswitched up their shelf line, and I knew they still had some sets and finally got a new shipment.

I'm keeping an eye on that $20 LEGO 7092 Castle Skeleton Prison Carriage because they still have 3 left, and that's last years set now. I'm expecting a 4-5 discount.

anyways, they were loaded with bionicles... yuck.

but I was able to pick up the small city police helicopter, and the MM small drill set.

for $10 each, bleh, but 7.50, not too bad. I wish they had some of the small sets, I could go for the $5 ones easy...

Oh and I did stop at Aldis and picked up the $15 Cargo copter set, they had like 7ish, plus they had plenty of old Racer sets and at least 3 of the coast guard copter/raft set.

I went to WM and noticed that they have the CG Copter/raft set for 27.98 and the Big Police plane for the same price.

If I bothered to keep my reciept and brought the set, I would have traded it back to Kmart and picked up the WM one for $2 less... oh well.

In case anyone cares, Amazon is offering some of the same prices that TRU has in their big book. I only checked the Agents and City sets however.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't even know Aldi carried toys (hadn't even been in one). But I guess they buy overstocks when they can find them. Glad to get this set for a good price.

Lego.com just put all their Lego Indiana Jones games on sale/clearance. I picked up a copy a couple of weeks ago at Radio Shack on clearance. Target also has the 360 version on clearance. If you liked Lego Star Wars you'll like this one too...unless you hate Indiana Jones!

Edit: I just saw that bigdaddy posted this in the game deals forum. He's good.

Thnk you, I try. No oone there cares through.

his keybord sucks, I hve no @s, so sorry people.

I'm going to go to Kmrt later nd see wht they hve for LEGOs.

The hoth set says $70, and the set should only be $60 to begin with. LEGO needs to do exclusives to keep the compnies hppy so they will sell LEGO nd not MegShits.
you can't?!

Crazy.. .it's a TRU Exclusive.. which means you won't find it at WM or Target. TRU can then over-price this set to kingdom come, because of no compitition.

Seriously hate these exclusives crap.
The sad part is people would happily pony up that money if that set came with a tauntaun or wampa ... but they couldn't even be bothered to make a new mold.

I can believe the fact that it is marked up.

The part I can't believe is the fact that the mark up is $20. Most are marked up $5 - $10. Can you show me another set that's marked up $20?

The problem with those codes are you have to call in if you order ideas that are on sale. At least thaat how it was last time.

I have to check when I get home in my magazine ever came in. I live 20 minutes from Enfield, where they most likely ship from, and I get the mgazines last. :)

If you mean Florida... in WDW LEGO DOWNTOWN DISNEY, then YES :bouncy::bouncy::bouncy:

I was there! On the 7th!

They also had a "Build 3 lame minifigs for 9.99" w/ Lego Lanyard, couldn't resist.

Pirates sets are something to see, I didn't like the Store Exclusive, priced at $20, came with a mound base and barely over 100 pieces. It was screaming playset, and not at the price point I thought it should be at. ($15)

spent $200, got $10 GC later :whee:

List of what I picked up

AquaRaiders Fish set 4.50 (Sale)
3x Exoforce sets 7.50/ea (Sale)
1 Pirate minifig set 3.5 (Pirates 09)
1 Colonial minifig set 3.5 (Pirates 09)
1 Cannon Battle set 6 (Pirates 09)
1 Kraken attacks set 10 (Pirates 09)
1 Skeleton Battle pack 13
1 Knights Battle pack 13
2x Large Bucket 15/ea

And to top it off this "Deals"

Store had Buy one Factory set, get one Free...

Factory Star Justice 69.99
Factory Skull Pirates FREE

Both boxes looked like they were pinatas at some point of it's shelf life, but I don't care.
I must have walked by it twice without realizing there was a bogo free, wife told me and I jumped out of line, grabbed the last Skull Pirates set they had.

Wife bought some for the nephews, some Xmas gifts...

PICTURE in spoiler

Fiance picked us up the Police Helicopter which was on "sale" (clearanced maybe?) at our Target for like $9 (so $1 off/10% off). It's an awesome set though, well worth the $10, and if you can find it on sale for a few bucks off, it's well worth it.

I agree, I bought it and the $10 CG set for $15 at K-Mart. I found a K-Mart that actually had 5-6 sets. :)

as did I ;) @ Kmart

I'm still watching 3 carriage sets of Castle to see if they will mark them down from $20.. I would love to get them for $15, but I bet Kmart will go $16...

So anything worthwhile @ lego.com ... 5 off 35, cover shipping, plus $10 GC... so spending about $25 out of pocket... hmm.

Rumour has it that the Space sets will be...

Space Police!!!!

:)

However I think your Castle prices are way off. The Chariot will be small and be $10, the Castle will be at least $80, most likely $90-$100, you think it will be $60? Dream land for you. :p I love drawbridge castle sets, $40 is most liely, but $50 wouldn't shock me.

The Pirate ship is $100 for 500+ pieces (big pieces), so the Castle will be $90-$100 for sure.

It also seems that LEGO is, for the first time in a long long time, raising prices. After they got rid of printed pieces you started getting more pieces. Now in 2009 there is that awesome SUV with the little Horse Trailer. The set should be at most $20, there are only 176 pieces, but it was $25 at TRU. Yes I know TRU has higher prices but so far ALL the 2009 sets out at TRU have the correct price. Plus the Pirate sets seem just a little more than normal, the $50 sets seems like a $40 set, the $40 set seems like a $30 set. The $20 set should be $15 except for the huge island piece.

I think you have to assume with the economic downturn that LEGO is marginally increasing prices ($5 or whatever) or lowering piece count. It stinks, but it's not just them. It's like the mysteriously shrinking ice cream, where now you get 3/4 the amount of ice cream for the same old price.

I have checked the LEGO City-Town sets since about 1983, if you think about the fact that LEGO sets are only $10 more for a Fire Station (The newest one had 600 pieces and was $60) when the older sets were around $40 for about 400 pieces I think. So for 25 years LEGO hasn't really increased in price, but then in 2009 it seems the prices have gone up.

I just had this talk with my mom last week, in 25 years LEGO prices have gone up and down (mainly because in 1998 to 2001 the pieces were huge) that the price per piece is about the same. Now in 2009 176 pieces cost $25 when the Truck and Forklift from this year has 343 pieces for $25, Recycle Truck has 200+ pieces for $15, and same with the Cement Mixer. $20 for the set would be high, but $25 is insane.

The Pirate sets are slightly high, but they have new pieces, and lots of them, so that increases the prie a little. However the SUV has all older pieces and normal older minifigures, nothing new that would increase the price.

And don't get me started on ice cream, you actually get 1/2 of a half gallon of ice cream now-a-days. However it is always on sale for $2.50. I go to this little ice cream stand a few towns away from me. They have homemadde ice cream, the best I have ever had and it's $6.50 a half gallon (the same price as the regularly priced "half gallons") and on the little stand there is a big sign "Real 64 ounce half gallons!". I still have blueberry pie in my freezer, they had run out of Key Lime Pie, and sadly won't reopen until at least April. I hate winter! :(

Interesting. I never really paid attention when I was younger (since my parents bought them), but I've really been looking at the price per piece of sets lately. I may take this next year to stock up on some of the old city sets I'm missing, since the farm/constructions stuff does nothing for me after the superb Coast Guard sets this year.

Well I wasn't even alive yet in 1983, but around there to 1996 is the best Town sets, so I went back to look at the older sets. I love the Tractor, but that's it really it, Farm is rather ehh...

However the Coast Guard sets are uneven to me. The helicopter and the little car and ski boat are awesome, but I feel the other sets are let downs, and the bigger sets don't seem to have a lot going on. One is a meh (officially a word now!) tower and an empty boat, and the oil rig thing looks awesome, but it's just a tiny tower and a tiny helicopter.

I'm hoping the new train sets in the summer are really nice, but I doubt we will get any side sets (like a station) until at least 2010.

I have no idea what I was thinking.... only thing I could think of is that I read that set as having 544...

I think when I look at prices that it's usually .10 / piece, but yeah I can see the prices increasing.

TRU always marks up, that or Walmart, Kmart, and Target are getting all their sets cheaper ALL the time.

anyways, can't wait for Space. I need pics!

Don't forget about the high oil prices! Plastic's made from oil, after all.

Now that oil prices have dropped, there may be future drops in the cost of plastic goods.

Big castle set will be $50 for Black Friday at Walmart, however it might already be that price, I can't find it at all.

the old castle set??? like from long time ago?

I don't think i've seen WM carry that one in a long time. will have to look!

The big Castle that came out last year with the Skellies. I too haven't seen it, but it was clearance online (but never in stock) and then it seems to be in the Black Friday ad for Walmart.

I haven't seen it recently either, I should have checked today, I was near one.

I've never seen the big castle set at wal-mart...mine still has 2 year old bionicles on clearance for $2 off the regular price!

And it looks like Toy-r-us is giving 40%-50% off select bionicles and Star Wars sets for black friday.

Kmart is having a b2g1 free, they restocked so it's somewhat of a good deal, unfortunately they have set all over the board and all over in prices so picking 3 of the same price might be tricky...

I have seen that Target has put the "NCF" label on a good number of Lego sets - the Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer was one that stood out to me. In the past they have done a Lego clearance in January...I'll be keeping an eye out on those sets.

Oh yeah, that set is sure to go on clearance. Best part is, one store near me had about 50+ lined up on the the top of a toy shelf...no way they are going to sell all those by xmas. I'm hoping they clearance the Rogue Shadow and some Indy sets too.

Imperial Star Destroyer will be the Black Friday set this year at Target and sell for $60.

And what is a NCF label?
