Yeah, its about $11.00 . It was a recent markdown I guess - when the clearances first started a couple weeks ago it was still full price everywhere. What I can't figure out is why they are clearancing new stuff like Prince of Persia, but they still aren't clearancing the Beach House and Police Station - the Target stores are packed with them and they are both 2008 sets !!!???

Lucky. I always return my stuff right before closing and try the next morning. This works 90% of the time when schools in, but during the summer there are alot of kids wandering the toy aisles begging their moms to buy this and that so you have to be quick/lucky.

Yeah I can't figure out why those beach houses have survived this long...I would actually buy a couple of those if they ever dropped. I haven't seen the camper on clearance at any store and I've been to at least 10 different ones!

It is a good idea but between Target/Wal-Mart/TRU these stores only clearance there stuff out seasonally. This thread doesn't really move fast enough or have the need to front page everything.

Yeah, Target Lego clearance last only about a week or two and then the only stuff left is Bionicles and Duplo's. Not to mention they only do it twice a year with the exception of a set here or there. I usually post the day it starts to give everybody a heads up.

Got the two sets I really really wanted. Glad I checked this thread for the best deals
We were able to use both the 20% off, did not know about the email, and B1G1 50% off at TRU. It took an override from a manager who knows my wife from all the lego sets she buys. Plus my wife shares different coupons and strategies for getting the best deals on Disney Blu Rays movies with several of the employees and managers.

Thanks to this forum and prim4444 giving us the heads up, I called my local TRU today and found out that they got in the Toy Story alien polybag set. Here is the UPC from my receipt, if that helps: 673419140522 LEGO TS3 ALIEN SHIP
Even though I had no time, I went to TRU anyway and BOGO 50'ed ten of them with my coupon for a grand total of only $ 31.95
They were keeping them at the Customer Service desk - probably true of most stores since they didn't have a location designated. They didn't really know what to do with them actually, other than the fact the system told them to price them at $3.99. I have a very strong feeling that Sunday's ad (or a near future ad) will show that they are to be given away free with a LEGO Toy Story purchase. But for now, nobody knows anything and they are just selling them outright. She said even with a limit of 10 per person (YMMV) they were selling like hotcakes, so I don't expect them to last until the assumed future promos come along.
I might get some more - I really dig those little green men! Growin' up, I always wished I could have some cool looking Martians like this to fight against my Legoland Space guys.

Thanks to this forum and prim4444 giving us the heads up, I called my local TRU today and found out that they got in the Toy Story alien polybag set. Here is the UPC from my receipt, if that helps: 673419140522 LEGO TS3 ALIEN SHIP

Considering the theme is now old, don't be surprised that the prices on LEGO Spiderman are high. It's the same with Batman. And Spiderman is only going to increase in price considering Hasbro and Marvel have extended their license agreement to 2017.

Just came back from checking out 3 TRUs. 1 of them had the TS Alien bags, BUT were limiting them to 10 per person when there were at least 50+ on the pegs. Manager told me there was someone before me who tried to buy them all. WTF? I hate stores that limit the quantity you can purchase, but then again I wouldn't have had the opportunity to buy the Aliens if TRU didn't place a limit. Works both ways I guess, but I want a gang of 'em!

No Lego Toy Story deals that I know of. Only thing going on is the Star Wars mini figure give away with purchase which stars on 8/6 and lasts until the 27th I believe.

Have I mentioned that I really, really, really hate the numbered bag system Lego has now. I went to TRU to look at, possibly pick up a few SW 2010 summer sets. To my surprise 5 Palpatine Shuttles, 2 Slave I's, 3 Wampa Caves, 4 General Grievous ships and 1 Plo Kloon Starfighter were all missing the first bag. All boxes open and first bag taken, I seriously don't know wtf the people at the store were doing. I'm going to contact there corporate office and complain about the theft problem. Apparently, when I talked to the shift supervisor it happens all the time.

At least they're new sets, so they should show up in large quantities soon. I can't actually think of a LEGO set that's been hard to find recently, as far as the major lines go (not including retailer exclusives, but even those seem fairly common). So I think they should be easy to find in time, though I'm sure Slave 1 will be in demand for awhile.

In the past 2 days I've been to two different TRUs where at the first I saw two passenger trains and the second two cargo trains. I just couldn't bring myself to BOGO them and try to sell one of each. Not after buying the space shuttle and imperial flagship already this month :/

Were the boxes opened on the floor or did they look like returns that someone sealed back? I think retailers need to be taking a better look at accepting LEGOs to see if the box has been tampered with and LEGO needs to make a stronger adhesive tape so when the box is opened it's really obvious. Shit like that pisses me off!

All the boxes were opened and sitting on the floor opened, except one had the little tab going through the flap. I even found one of those security devices that wrap around the big boxes behind a few Endor sets. I started looking through most of the boxes and noticed all bag 1's were gone.

Looks like Fred Meyer is clearing out some of their sets at 60% off, and don't forget the additional 10% off coupon. A few different Racers sets, most of the Cars Duplo sets, along with a couple of other ramdom things all were marked down today. I picked up:

SP Freeze Ray Frenzy 5970 - $3.60
Duplo Mater's Yard 5814 - $7.20
Other stores may have a different selection so it is probably worth checking out if you have a FM near you.

Now technically they are not clearance, however all of the other sets that are on sale are older sets that have been at 30% off for at least a month now. I was surprised to see the Cars ones on sale, but my daughter loves that movie so I had to get one for her.
