LEGO Deals

I went to one of my closest Kmart's today and didn't find anything. :bomb: They had the ARC-170's and the Atlantis Big sub but they were regular price. When I went to a different one near me in a poorer area the last time clearance stuff was brought up that had ton's of marked down Legos but empty shelves. I don't know what the big deal is since there both close together.
I was at the Target in Danvers, and there were legit about 20 of them there. They were marked $14.99 on sale for $7.99. I didn't even realize it was a 2007 set until I came home and checked out Brickset.
Stay out of my Target!

On a serious note since you're so close, if you want to trade any sets, let me know. I have a couple sealed Indy, Castle, SW, and PM sets available.

Got 2x of each at my local Kmart
Space Police Freeze Ray Frenzy 5970 4.90
Power Miners Fire Blaster 8188 4.90
Atlantis Wreck Raider 8057 4.90

One of each for my boys, one of each to gift during the fall birthday season.

Also picked up the ARC-170 Starfighter 8088 for 31.50 for the oldest son.

Only thing I didn't pick up was the Toy Story Army Men on Patrol 7595 which was marked down to 5.60.

Will probably make another run tomorrow morning to another store, I was hoping to pick up some bigger sets.

6. Lego
Last year was a tough year for toy companies - except for Lego. During 2009, when most companies were holding tight to ride out the recession storm, Lego's profits soared 63%. Exploration of the global market was the key to this company's recession-bucking success. While the U.S. had a stagnant toy market, Lego was able to expand to Asia and increase its sales in Europe, bringing in the big bucks. For a recent surprise addition to Lego's profit: after a recent interview where British soccer star David Beckham admitted he was building a Lego Taj Mahal during his down time, sales soared 663% - proof that sometimes free celebrity endorsement is the best profit boost of all.

Gee, another one of my posts deleted when I mention a certain scalping someone stealing series 1 minifigures.

Funny how the post which was a reply to mine seems oddly out of place now:
Haha, burn!

I picked up 8036 Separatist Shuttle for ~15, 5891 Apple Tree House for ~22, 8088 ARC Starfighter for 31.50.
Nice score on the House, my wife is looking for that one.
Apple Tree House 5891 (x2) - $26 each
Troll Assault Wagon 7038 (x3) - $7 each (best deal they had, in my opinion)
King's Battle Chariot 7078 (x2) - $7 each (tied for best deal)
I can't believe they still had that set available... it's a really old set, but awesome price to snag those with... both the Chairot too.
I went to Target today and picked up Off-Road Fire Rescue (7942) for $7.99 on sale. Not a bad deal.
Actually Target had a weird Temporary price cut on some sets.

The $10 Space set, power miners set and atlantis set. They also had the star wars snow skeeter that retails for $11 or $12...... and all the sets on the endcap said 7.99.

I picked up a fire blaster for 7.99... figured it was worth it.

Yeah the business I worked at really expanded out in Europe and will continue... seems like they are doing alot better than U.S. right now.

And back to Target news... They had a display for the Ramses Pyramid, but I pointed it out to a Kimm who is a manager there... didn't bother to read the sign because it said Star wars board game, but told me that she will honor the price at checkout which I didn't even think of bothering with. So the game sells for $30 and I got it for $14.99.

I figure, since I didn't even ask for it, and they offered, I wouldn't refuse. :D Made my day!

I'll have to get down to Kmart soon... they still had 2 City corners for 45. For $32 it might be worth to pick up.

Stopped at two TRU and the first said they had minifigs last week and were sold out. The next one had one box and me and my brother were able to get two near complete sets. Left the rest for OTHERS. Went to multiple Kmarts in SE michigan and picked up ARC-170, Y-Wing, Sep. Shuttle, Kings Chariot, and some bionicle on a snowmobile.Awesome news on the LEGO store in Detroit. Troy, MI actually, at the Summerset mall.

I've got a few extra Series 2/1 figs that I'll sell for cost + shipping. Send me a PM if interested. All are opened and complete.

Ringmaster X4
Mime X 3
Explorer X 3
Weightlifter X 2
Traffic Cop X 3
Diver X 4
Crash Dummy X 4
Forestman X 1

Still waiting for my TRU.com minifig order (placed on the first day available). This UPS to USPS ""UPS Basic Shipping" thing is SLOOOOOWWW. Of course, I'm on the west coast and these are coming from Ohio (I think). While waiting for Series 2, I've been thinking about Series 3 and the "no barcodes" thing. I don't see how they can have zero barcode. How are stores like TRU supposed to scan them? Unless they all have the same barcode on the left but without the unique barcode on the right side. Another thing - if LEGO were previously using the right side barcodes as identifiers for mixing up the boxes evenly, then how will they do this without any unique identifiers? Is there the potential for full boxes of the same minifigure? It will be interesting to see how Series 3 goes...

Now my Report: Got some clearance goodies at K-Mart on Sunday night: Apple Tree House, SW ARC, pink blue and green bulk brick buckets, and SW Echo Base. Between K-Mart, Fred Meyer, Target, Walmart, and the TRU BOGO50, I've now managed to get almost everything I wanted this year on clearance/sale. Paying retail is for suckers! :) jk - I have to pay that too sometimes.
Series 2 minifigs are currently available at Lego Shop at home. Limit 16. http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=8684
Just came here to post the same thing. Shipping sucks--but they are just $1.99. I've heard that people got a lot of duplicates from S@H with Series 1, customer service filling orders from the order in the box. If that is the case, I'm crossing my fingers for the right side of the box (the Spartan side.)

In for sixteen.

Think I'm gonna make a trip to the Lego store so I can snipe some Pop Singers, Weightlifters, and Explorers as we only got one of each. My daughter already stole the mics from our Pop Singer to "make" her Justin Bieber minfig. Also hoping the Harry Potter sets go live on the site so I can order in store with free shipping.
...so I can order in store with free shipping.
Is the "free shipping" a special promo or something?
Is the "free shipping" a special promo or something?
Nope. If you order at the LEGO store you get free shipping to your home.

Series 3 will obviously have a barcode, just the sales one. I have no clue how they will stick them in the boxes. I hope everything is random, even the boxes.

Truth be told, I don't actually live up that way, I live legit in the city. I only go up to Danvers about once a month to go to Market Basket since the prices are 1/2 that of the grocery stores in the city, and I hit up Target while I'm there

Gee, dan, you sure are keeping your mod friend busy trying to cover up any mention of you stealing series 1 minifigs. I guess I'll have to start taking screenshots of my posts for future reference.

All this drama!!! This is supposed to be a kiddy thread.

Actually, this is a thread for adults who never grew up, so it's kind of appropriate. :)

Well said:applause:

Lego Shop @ Home now has the Advent Calendars in stock, $35 bucks a piece. And there's free shipping on orders of $75 or more.

Plus, they still have Series 2 of the blind packaged minifigs. You can order a maximum of 16, for a total of nearly $32.

So, buy an Advent Calender (or two, I skipped on the City Advent myself, not enough minifigs for my liking) and 16 blind packaged minifigs, and you only need about $8 of filler to get free shipping. This is actually a pretty great deal considering how difficult it is to get a hold of the Advent Calendars and the blind packaged minifigs.

Picked up two Kingdoms advent calendars and three S.2 MFs to make it 75.95 and qualify for free shipping. Plus I had $5.00 in VIP rewards to use, essentially making the 3 MFs free. Another great deal, thanks for posting! :D I wish I could afford the Death Star and Imperial Shuttle right now, but I'll have to keep saving up for those. Anyone know if the Death Star is going out of print soon? Its been in and out of stock for quite some time. The best deal I've seen on it is $350 at Target.com last year, but I didn't go for it due to lack of holiday funds.

Hell, I'm still waiting for them to show up at TRU around here. When I checked last week they were at the distribution center, then they went to being in process. So I'm hoping for today, I'm also hoping they stay at $1.99. Some TRU with in driving range got them in last week but I didn't want to drive 30-45 minutes one way.
minifigs are $2.99 at TRU around here now.
Yeah, I paid $2.99 today. Sucks knowing the Lego store has them for $1.99...then again TRU doesn't give a damn if you use the cheat sheet. I actually had the girl at the counter asking how to get one...she thought Lego published the barcode list!

Snagged some decent deals at Plymouth, MI K-mart. Sorry, I don't remember exact prices, but they worked out to be about 50% off:
LEGO Atlantis Neptune Carrier (8075) - ~$30
LEGO Space Police Hyperspeed Pursuit (5973) - ~$20
LEGO Star Wars Anakin's Y-Wing Starfighter (8037)- ~$30

They had a lot of the 8075 and 5973 sets left. Maybe one or two 8037s still there.

Went to the LEGO store yesterday and it was madness. Probably 20 people crowded around a table with their cheat sheets and iphones out. Seemed like most of what was left were cops, ringmasters and karate guys. I found 2 each of the vampire and witch though, and now all I really want is a pharaoh. There just are not that many in this series that I am that interested in.

Managed to get a City Corner for 31... and a few mid tier first wave atlantis sets for 50% off roughly...

aiming for that City Corner, but couldn't find it.... wife spoted it in one of those rack carts they throw in the middle of the isle.

They had some PoP sets that were not in the same location, looks like they are running out of room, so maybe some more.

What's weird is they still have that damn atlantis crab for full price, I would have though they would clearence that too. Picking up that Neptune Carrier ^^ was a great pickup, but it was full price at my Kmart.

Just looked at the TRU ad for 9/5-9/11 and I could have swore someone said that week it was gonna be buy 1 get 1 50% off on the city sets. Unless it's just an in store sale and not in the ad.

Well. Prim is the one who posted that and he works there. I'm sure he'll post here to clarify if indeed that is the case. I did just receive a coupon via email from TRU for $5 off a purchase of $25+. So hopefully, the City sale is true.

Just got some good deals at a knuckle-head Walmart near me.

All Lego games:

Magikus $5
Robochamp $5

Lava Dragon $8
Pirate Code $8
Race 3000 $8

None of the bigger games were on clearance, and I have no idea why they put these on clearance so soon as this Walmart has one of the biggest Lego sections I've seen (including Mindstorms). Also grabbed Kingdoms Prison Carriage Rescue for $5 as well as #5899.

ok this is the last time I will ask but does anyone want to trade me their complete series 2 minifigure collection sealed for my complete sealed series 1 collection thanks!!

It's in the ad I have sitting at my store.
TRU 9/19 - Buy 2 Get 3rd Free All Lego Building Sets.

I assume the same exclusions will be enforced as usual.
Yeah they have that all the time in September every year. No Star Wars or this and that.
ok this is the last time I will ask but does anyone want to trade me their complete series 2 minifigure collection sealed for my complete sealed series 1 collection thanks!!
If nobody takes you up on your offer, I have 16 minifigs from Series 2 coming from Shop @ Home, and I'm still missing seven minifigs from Series 1 (Adventurer, Indian, Zombie, Robot, Crash Test Dummy, Nurse, Caveman). I'd be willing to do some swapping with you if you're interested.

Went to the local Fred Meyer and they have the city advent calendar. Shocked to see it there, so I am probably going to wait for a sale there to pick one up.

I finally got into my order of 60 MFs S.2 from TRU.com. Here was what I received (and it didn't come with the factory box either):
2 Pharaoh
3 Dracula
4 Spartan
3 DJ
0 Pop Star
5 Ringmaster
6 Baywatch Babe
5 Adventurer
3 Karate Champ
3 Surfer
5 Witch
5 Mime
4 CHiPs Guy
5 Maraca Man
3 Skier
4 Weightlifter

I was disappointed I didn't even get one Pop Star out of the 60, but happy for the extra Spartan and Mariachi. Hopefully I can pick up the Pop Star with my recent S@H order.

I have read one report of these at a Target in the Midwest, as part of their Halloween reset. I guess they think they would make good prizes for trick-or-treaters. I would agree if they were like 50cents each, but with retail prices ranging from $2-5, sorry kids but I won't be giving these away when you come a-knockin' on 10/31! My local Target is doing their reset this Tuesday, but I called and they have no stock at any area stores using that DPCI # that was posted awhile back. Perhaps that was only for Series 1, which they won't be getting now obviously. If anyone can find a different DPCI for Series 2, please post. I will go and scan a S.2 barcode on their scanners tonight and see what comes up.

I got my Series 2 minifig order of 16 from Shop @ Home today. Much more variety in the mix than I would've thought, given some other reports regarding Series 1 orders.

I got:
Maracas Man
Spartan
Ringmaster
Witch (x 2)
Vampire (x 2)
Cop
Archaeologist
Lifeguard (x 2)
Mime (x 2)
Bodybuilder
Karate Champ
Surfer

Only missed out on Pop Star, Skier, Disco Guy, and Pharaoh. I'm pretty pleased, considering it was a totally random pick.

I picked up 10 at TRU they had a limit of 5 but let me get away with 10. I had a big headache so I picked up a few duplicates.

I have an Extra Mime & Ring Master F/T, I need a witch, weightlifter, surfer, pop singer, cop, lifeguard, disco guy and skier. I know I have a few extra sealed ones from s1 I believe a robot and a clown don't remember but I have those too.

I got my order today as well. I got the popstar, adventurer x3, karate, witch, weightlifter x2, surfer x2, ringmaster x2, motorcycle cop, lifeguard x3. I got the vampire, and mime in a trade.
My extras are up for trade.
I want
Mr. maracas,
skier,
pharaoh,
spartan,
disco stud.
I have some from series 1 if anyone has series 2 figures that I need.
