Castle Advent Calendar was at the Lego stores I visited today although I believe they say Kingdoms on the box.

Got the minifigs at both Lego stores, $1.99 with one store limiting to 16 and the other 5 per person.

Stopped at a TRU looking for Transformers stuff and they just put out the minifigs too...but $2.99 a pack now!

That's great news 180! LEGO finally smarted up and release a Caste Advent Calendar in the USA! I rather have had the 2008 one, but this is very good news.

I call everything that has a Castle Castle, even if LEGO doesn't.

Awesome news about the Kingdoms calendar. Definitely will pick that up. Wonder if its a LEGO store S@H exclusive.

Also got my shipping notice from TRU.com today. I believe my hopes for a sealed box are dashed, the shipping weight says 2.2 lbs, while my EE order from series 1 was 3.4. Oh well, as long as there are 60 like I ordered and are a decent mix, I can't complain too much.

wow, nice haul though. EE and 60 from TRU. Maybe you'll offer to sell some figures to some minifig starved CAGs?

I emailed TRU why the only store in the south half of the state isn't getting the minifigs... We'll see what comes of it.

As long as my package arrives safely from TRU, the EE preorder for series 2 is getting cancelled...mostly because I have no use for 120 figs, and because I'm paying over $2.50 a piece due to their markup. I do have some extra figs from my series 1 order from EE, but I haven't decided what to do with them quite yet.

Sell me your extras please. I missed out on series 1. Or maybe we can make a trade:bouncy:

I stopped in at the Chandler, AZ LEGO Store today, and with my friend's help, we were able to find all 16 of the minifigs. Thankfully, it was 16 per person limit, like other people have mentioned. They were even nice enough to lend me scissors after I bought my minifigs so I could make sure I had all 16.

Once we had them all opened and verified, my friend was able to pick up a couple he wanted, and I helped a nice woman that was getting some for her nephew identify a couple. I asked the manager on duty if they had been shipped more this round. He said they recieved 1000 units on Monday, and they'd already sold about 3/4 of them.

I also went ahead and picked up the Castle Advent calendar, since I love the advent calendars and I REALLY wanted the blue wizard. I'll probably go back and pick up the City advent next month. Gotta keep earning VIP rewards to be ready for the Harry Potter sets on Oct. 1. My fiance is super excited for those.

In case anybody was wondering... the subscription to get an email for each post on here *sucks*. So far it's worked about 1/4th of the time.

Is anyone interested in trading series 2 minifigure set to me for a set of series 1 minifigures?
I have a complete sealed set of series 1 and want to get a set of series 2.

I rec'd the Lego Atlantis Brickmaster book today from Amazon. It has a diver and a manta man and you can make variations on a mini sub and an Atlantean vehicle (or an Atlantean shark creature). Not too bad, although I can't say it's worth the increase in price (if you were to buy MSRP anyways).
The city advent calendar is starting to hit TRU now, just in time for the sale in a couple weeks. My store got some in today.
What's the sale? I missed that memo. Brickset says people have been seeing the Castle one too.

Went to Target and they habe some TPCs on the Hoth Rebel/Imperial Minifig sets and Lego City Firetruck (forgot the set number) for 7.99. I also went to my local Walmart and picked up the Robot boardgame for 7 bucks. There was also another set on sale for 7 bucks I saw, I think it was the magic game.
If you buy the minifigures online can you return them at the store? After you decide which ones you want looking at the barcode?
You can with TRU, the only thing is all online purchase returned in store is for store credit only.

I found this out when I called them on the phone. I can't believe it. I did not want to buy anything because of this policy.

Did they change their policy from last year? About a year ago I returned something to the brick/mortar store that I had bought online and they credited my card back. The cashier did say, however, that they would not have been able to do it if the item was not something they already carried in that store.

So my toysrus.com order came in yesterday, and it was a display box with the normal distribution, however it was missing 5 figures. I contacted tru and they agreed to refund me for those 5, and gave me a 15dollar credit as well. My local tru also got them in yesterday as well, and my wife got me the five ones that were missing (3 vampires a dj and a pop star) as well as an extra Spartan.

I went to the local TRU and the figures were $2.99 and a limit of 3. That will take forever finish the set. EE's prices are better. Screw TRU go target and walmart.

TRU had them for $1.99 online when that link was posted a page or so back; they bumped up to that $2.99 a day or two ago, well after online stock was used up.

Am I the only one who likes series 1 better? Disco Stu and the martial artist are pretty cool, but there's nothing catching my attention beyond them like the zombie, astronaut, cheerleader or gunslinger. Even the nurse, ninja and diver are better than most of series 2, IMO.

Somebody reported paying $3.49 at TRU today, however nobody else has confirmed.

I think Sept. 1 at the Lego stores will be the next best opportunity to get some cheap as both stores I visited mentioned that they were holding some for that date because that's the date they had been telling people for the last month.

My series one ninjas weren't cool until they had a series two mime to decapitate with their ninja swords...three times!:applause:

Went to K-Mart last night. They had moved alot of toy clearance to the front of the store on "display" sort of, but no extra 50% off yet. I guess they could be preparing to start doing it on the weekend, Sat. or Sun. but I probably won't be able to check. However, if someone reports the sale has started, I will make the time! :) There are several sets on clearance that I've been keeping my eye on...
Last year I was lucky and happened to be there at the right time: got a few IJ Flying Wings for ~$17.

All that's left at mine are a few Atlantis sets and like 2 Street corner sets.

I might jump on the Street Corner for 22...

Kmart ad says 30% off clearance toys this week. I was hoping for 50%. I fear that the good Lego sets will disappear around me though, if I try to hold out for 50%.

That will bring most prices down to about 50% off retail...I better get there quick.

My KMart had nothing. But they completely restocked the LEGOs. It was the most LEGOs I have ever seen in a KMart.

A Walmart by me had three of the huge Space Police sets in the "clearance" section for $99.97! The regular price! Thanks Walmart for that great deal!

I went to three Kmarts this morning. Well, two actually, since the third one appeared in my Google Maps but ended up not actually existing.

The first store had a clearance setup like what I'm used to at Kmart -- an aisle that looks like a hurricane blew through it. I dug through it and ended up with:

Corporate Alliance Tank Droid 7748 - $13
Hyperspeed Pursuit 5973 - $26

I passed on a large Atlantis sub at $31.

The second store was unlike any I've been to. The clearance aisle was meticulously organized and there were at least 20 different Lego sets on clearance. However, the base clearance prices were higher than at the first store. Had it been 50% off, I would have bought at least one of each set. At 30% I was a little more selective:

Apple Tree House 5891 (x2) - $26 each
Troll Assault Wagon 7038 (x3) - $7 each (best deal they had, in my opinion)
King's Battle Chariot 7078 (x2) - $7 each (tied for best deal)

and a bunch of small Racers sets ($5.60 each) as gifts for nephews, etc.

I passed on a lot of sets including Star Wars and Atlantis. I do want a Tauntaun but didn't want to spend $14 on the set. I wish they had had at least a couple City sets on clearance. Still, can't complain about the selection (for once), and the prices ranged from decent to great (the $7 Castle sets).
so does anyone want to trade I have a complete set of series 1 and im looking to get series 2?
Why trade? Just steal them as you did with series 1.
I went to Target today and picked up Off-Road Fire Rescue (7942) for $7.99 on sale. Not a bad deal.
That's an awesome set howler it's only 20% off. I didn't even realize Lego was still making it.

Went to a TRU that is closing today. Must have started in the last couple of days, because it wasn't closing the last time I was over there. They had no LEGOs except for a couple of Duplo sets and the Ben 10 sets. At 30% I am shocked that someone bought all of them. With Fred Meyer around it is not hard to get around 40% off, so it just seemed crazy to me that there was nothing left.

I was at the Target in Danvers, and there were legit about 20 of them there. They were marked $14.99 on sale for $7.99. I didn't even realize it was a 2007 set until I came home and checked out Brickset.

Gonna go try out a couple Kmarts tomorrow to see what all this clearance talk is about. Also is anyone selling some extra series 1 minifigs? PM if you have some and I'll gladly purchase them from you:D
