...My Walmart did the toy section reset and 7 Family Home sets that were on clearance just vanished. My walmart is just plain fucking stupid...no place to put a toy, well then just hide it in the back and then put it back out 6 months later when someone finds it...
A Walmart by me was clearancing a bunch of stuff too, including the Fire Station for $54 and 3 Family Homes for $40. I passed, but came back after the weekend to see if anything was left. It was all still there, but the stockpeople were resetting all the toy aisles and boxing up everything from clearance in boxes that were labeled "return to manufacturer" or something like that (sorry I can't remember the exact labeling). That is probably what happened to those 7 Family Homes in your store too. I don't think they are going in the backroom, but rather being sent back where they came...who knows?

EDIT: 180husher, I forgot to mention: Sometimes Walmart starts a special clearance aisle near the garden stuff. Maybe they moved the LEGOs over there...

Yeah, I checked all the usual places where they set up clearance. This happened last summer with Lego sets going on clearance and then gone two days later. Then those same summer clearance sets showed up on the shelves when the xmas clearance started...at the same prices!

I dont mean to be off-topic, but if anyone is interested, I have a lot of old lego pieces from various sets that Im looking to get rid of. Generic bricks and minifig items, I have a ton of. If you're looking for something in particular from older sets, please PM me!

Tax free weekend in MA with three Lego Store.

180husher, I don't think there are any real pics they are in store fayalite and people have seen them.

Does your tax free weekend work on LEGO? I think it only applies to stuff like school crap and clothes here...
I also got the City House at Target earlier this week. I like how it is made to be compatible with City Corner.
Is it? I noticed the similarities but it didn't look like it would match completely. That certainly makes it more appealing though.

Went to Walmart this afternoon and found the Freeco Speeder, Hoth Echo Base and the Corporate Alliance Tank Droid for $20 each. They also had the big Space Police set for $70. I'm going ti have to keep an eye out.
I don't like the idea of Lego trading cards but City Space is awesome news.

Eurobricks have a bunch of whiners how it should be it's own theme and how this means space police is dead. So wrong. One even asked who puts rockets in their cities...... Ummmmm..... Six year old boys who Lego targets!

Plus older shuttles and such were in Town so who cares as long as the sets rock!
Ya, I could care less about the cards, but I am  over Lego City Space. Probably my fondest LEGO memories growing up was getting and building:

Hope we get something similarly awesome.

It's anything up to 2500$ in the state besides cars and boats and such.

City house and corner match perfectly, it's shown on the box.

Wow, last I heard, it was $100 in TX.

Well, it's official...we've moved to Paris! Went to the dept store and saw the lego series 1 minifigs still there...but maybe bc they want 3 Euros for each pack!!! I also got a catalog and saw that they have the Christmas castle advent calendar...everything else looks the same.

Congrats on your move, Meggie! Its nice to know we have a friend in Europe to give us a report on the exclusive sets over there (and maybe help us over here in the States obtain some of them... ;) ). Hope you had a smooth trip, ttyl!

Yeah, I'm not home but I recall the box back of the City House shows how you can combine the City House, City Corner, and the building pieces of the Construction Site all into one cool street scene.
I heard 50% off kmart toys clearance starts this weekend from an employee
Weekend as in Saturday?

My only Kmart has a ton of Atlantis sets I wouldn't mind at half off the clearance price... it would be my first purchase in months...

Well... I guess not months, since the last TRU B1G1 50% off.

I ask some TRU employees, and they will not be getting Series 2 of the minifigures either.

So... yeah... Borders Go! :(

I'm thinking Sunday when the new ads come out but idk?

I just read the press release for the new winter bakery set. Wish I got last years. The set is only $55 and has 7.5 minifigures! Yeah.... I don't know.

I totally though agree with you BD, would have been cool collecting Christmas sets!!! If I would have only guessed/known they would continue then I can have a display of Christmas Lego's during the Holidays.

My girlfriend and I were looking through the brickset pics and came across the one where the kid and girl are trying to pull the guys legs out of the snow, before we realized that it was a guy in snow. Girlfriend goes "what's the kid doing to that girls butt?"

Any confirmation on the additional 50% off on K-Mart clearance today? I won't be able to get down there until this evening (if that), but they had a ton of sets on clearance last week. The extra 50% off might make me take the plunge on a few of them...

Well dont' know, I'm heading down tomorrow.

It should start on Sunday, but who knows with Kmart.

What sets did yours have?

Thanks zepp head! Yeah, I don't mind shipping things out that are hard to find in the US...if there is anything worth it, after you convert the Euro over. I'm still going to have my family buy me legos in the US...I can't afford the ones over here. :)

Clearance sets rang up at sticker price (no 50% discount) today. I don't know if the 50% off will start tomorrow.

I wasn't sure because last time they did it from Friday through Monday only (I think it was for Memorial Day weekend).

My K-Mart had lots of SW on clearance: Sep. Shuttle, Corp. Tank, Echo Base, ARC-170, Hyena, Y-Wing, and Tri-Fighter. All Atlantis was on clearance I believe, plus the City Tow Truck, Creator Red Sports Car, SP Container Heist...that's all I can remember for now.

I am driving across the country in early September (southern route, L.A. to N.Y.). Any stores I should be looking to hit along the way? I am going to at least hit the Lego outlet in California. Doesn't sound at the moment like any of the big-box retailers will be having clearance then, but hopefully something will pop up.

I know Husher has a Lego Outlet store in VA somewhere and I have one near me in Ontario, CA. If you get over here at or around Labor Day they might have a sale but this year has been really hit or miss. I've only seen a 1-2 sales so far this year and the last sale they had they had stuff marked 10%-20% off when I've only always usually seen stuff marked no less than 30% off.

Yeah, no deals at my Woodbridge, VA store either lately. I'm flying into Ontario this Oct. so save some deals for me skiizm. I think that the Denver, Colorado store might be an outlet store too.

Edit: Stopped by a couple of Walmarts today and saw a bunch of different sets on clearance, some were particular to certain stores so YMMV on these.

SW Venator $79
SW Anakin's Y-wing $40
SW Endor $69
SW Attack Shuttle $40
SW AAT $35
SW Darth Vader's Tie Fighter $21

POP Ostrich Race $13
POP Battle for Alamut $50 or $55

Camper $11
City Corner $40
City Garage $69

PM Magma Mech $13
PM Crystal King $13
PM Rock Wrecker $25
PM Titanium Command Rig $69

SP Galactic Enforcer $69

Creator Fire Rescue $40
Creator Apple Tree House $30
Creator Family Home $40 (got my two...almost 2000 pieces for $80! Now to build a model of our own house.)

All the Ben 10 characters were down to $11.

Some other Bionicles stuff I didn't bother remembering.

Some Kmart clearance pricing from what I can remember today:

SW Arc fighter $45
SW Hoth $19

PM Crystal King $15

City Smart car look-a-like $3.50
City Tow Truck $11

Atlantis Neptune Carrier $45 (I think)
Atlantis Shark $11

SP Hyperspeed Pursuit $37

Nothing worth getting I thought unless they run a 50% off clearance toys again...then I will be there at opening.

Any of you guys been to a Lego Experience Tour? I was pulling into my work garage this morning and saw a big yellow truck with minifigure stickers on the windows and that website. It looks like they're going to be in Westfield, MA this weekend.

You got to be kidding!

No not go to Westfield! You will not get out alive! The city is a joke for the endless road work they are doing that has killed several people. I love Stanley Park but avoid the hellhole called Westfield.

Plus they are having a country fair, an air show, and now this thing when half the city is closed without and roads. Another smart move by the city of Westfield.

crazy... I poked around the website and it didn't seem to appealing anyway. I thought it would be like brickfair or something.

The crew must have been staying at the holiday inn next to where I work. I'll snap some pics of the truck if it's back tomorrow. My co-workers were telling me to break in and steal all the Lego, kidding of course.

SW Hoth? Which one, the new Wampa Cave or the really old (2007) Rebel Base?

On another note, you can add the following sets to Walmart's clearance:

SP Freeze Ray Frenzy $7
City Front End Loader $7

Bummer. It was the first weekend of the month for my area.

Totally disappointed that I didn't go!
Series two minifigs are showing up in US TRU's. Brickset has a link to a barcode printout. Lucky me driving to my dad's place tomorrow and passing 4 TRU stores.

Anyone know if these are going to be more widely available or have a higher production run? The only reasonably close Toys R Us received just one box of series one.

I believe both series 1 and 2 were produced at the same time (which is why the barcode trick works for both but wont for 3). my guess would be production run would be the same
