I attended a LEGO building event at a LEGO store and they passed out cards to do a survey that will give you 10 VIP bonus points. Just print the last page at the end and bring it to your local LEGO store. There's a list of stores to pick from so just pick the one close to you.
Stopped at Walmart tonite and saw that they had a full palet of Legos still in their boxes. I bet they end up putting the palet back in the stock area. .
They put the whole palet back in the stock room. HA
when does the toy story 3 promotion start again where you buy any lego toy story you get a free alien starship? TIA
We don't know exactly, sometime in August. Prim4444 usually tells us ahead of time. You can buy them online here:

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4298591

Brickfair in Washington D.C. is this weekend. I hadn't planned on going this year but they moved it half an hour closer to me so I think I'll be taking the boy Saturday. I wish Lego officially participated in this as I wouldn't mind getting some of the deals you Cali guys got previously.

Also noticed a new Lego game at Target today...$29.99 Harry Potter Hogwarts. Comes with Harry Potter character microfigs.

It should hopefully work for both figures. I know it worked the last time TRU had the Stormtrooper giveaway. If not, yes, you can always return the regular price set and keep the freebe. Just don't return it right away.
So it's safe to say that the Series 1 minifigs are as good as gone?
Somebody on brickset reported that their Walmart was in the process of redoing the lego section and he saw the new layout sheet which had a space for minifigs.

But one random person doesn't mean much, and even if it were true that would be for series 2. Series one is long gone.

This is Walmart we're talking about here...some stores still have Playstation 1 games for sale at full retail. Their stock rooms look like the giant wherehouse at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark". They have all kinds of hidden treasures back there. And he did post a pic if that means anything.

I'd be very happy if it were series 1, but knowing Walmart it most likely is series 2 and the boxes they are in says it's series 1.

Walmarts would be great for the minifigures, LEGO really should rethink the "6 week release" thing and just make a shitload and send them to everyone and not post on the box "Wholel Box Not For Sale".

Oh pictures... I have seen pictures that Lincoln was a woman and of big foot and of UFOs.... MUST BE REAL THEN! ;)

TRU got smarter. Now you can't buy the silver stormtrooper minifigs separately. You can't add them to the cart manually, you can't update their quantity in cart manually, and if you remove the set from the cart the minifig gets removed automatically too.

Now you're gettin' it.
has anyone tried the deals in store buy a stormtrooper get one free or toy story alien? thanks
Didn't work with the alien - she said it didn't count as a "construction set", so I passed on it. I assume the same for the stormtroopers, but I didn't try. A manager may override the system for you and allow it, if you're lucky...

I went to the local Five Below in Wilkes Barre, PA today to check out their Lego sets.

They had 3 on the shelf. The polybag Altlantis octopus for $2.99 and they also had two Space Police impulse sets. One was the robot k9 and the other was a small spaceship. Not sure the numbers of the Space Police sets, but they were sequential numbers. So if you know the k9 set number, it's one above or one below.

The space police sets were a bit pricey at $4.00.

Also at out Walmart, they had one Power Miners Crystal King set on the shelf marked down to $13.00. Too bad my son already has this set, it's pretty awesome for the price.

hey guys thanks for the answers I appreciate it One last question before I go today what if I brought in my receipt that is not even 30 days old yet into the store showing I purchased a toy story lego would they give me one? If not im just going to buy a cheap set get it free then return later.
Did she scan both and try or did she just say that?
Yeah, she scanned both and both rang up for $3.99, instead of one being free.

I bet they will do it for you, since its so recent. They did something similar for me during the BOGO sale. I had bought a single Toy Story set the week before, then during the sale I brought in my receipt and asked if I could buy another similar priced set and get the 50% off. She did it for me! :) She just had to return the first item on the receipt and then do the whole transaction over, and I didn't even have to bring the original set into the store. Everything was done using the receipt.

So I'm sitting here playing LEGO Rock Band and thouht about how awesome it would be if there was an option to purchase your band in LEGO form. Rock Band 2 gave you the option to make statues of your band members. I'll have to look into making my own. Does LEGO make guitars or do you have to go through a customize website? If so, any recommendations?

I was at the Lego store yesterday to pick up the space shuttle. I found a box that was bent out of shape so I asked if they would give me a discount. They ended up giving me 10% off, so $10. It's not much, but it's probably a st tha won't ever go on sale. I wish I wouldve gotten it last month to get the spaceman, but at least I got the 3 figs for $5, their current promotion.
has anyone tried the deals in store buy a stormtrooper get one free or toy story alien? thanks
I have some star wars lego sets for sale if your interested. I've got pics I can post if ya want.
Maybe I am missing something, but you can get them on Amazon for $4.99 each:

http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Minifigu...=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1281280559&sr=1-24
"random" in the description meaning the leftover divers and test dummies after the guy sniped all the good ones.

At Brickfair yesterday, one vendor was selling them for $7 a pack yesterday and I saw that just about every one on just one peg had the same barcode. Another vendor was selling opened ones for $10-$17...and I actually saw people buying them!

I need to get into making Lego compatible weapons as those guys from Brickarms were making a killing selling guns for $1-$2 a piece.

Edit: Saw that Walmart put three sets on clearance...that should free up a lot space??? Battle for Endor for $70, Family Home for $40 (keep droppin' baby), and a pink bucket for $24 I think.

Actually that is the real price, LEGO released the info. So unless they change their mind that will be the price.

It's a really nicely design set, quite beautiful.
I was guessing it was a boat set with the "Get on board." Maybe the pirate ship or the Creator Ferry.
Get on board = board game.

Eurobricks has news of 2011 sets including Town Space sets! Also a new "theme" called NinjaGO which is fading cards and Lego figs.

Just read a LEGO press release on FBTB about the Star Wars celebration going on in Orlando.

Those who are lucky enough to attend and help with the Master Builder Event will receive a white Boba Fett! WTF!~ I need one to complete my Fett collection.
Anyone know where to get a good deal on Minotaurus? I saw it at Brickfair Saturday, and it looks pretty cool.
I think TRU had all Lego games on sale last month for 20% off. Sorry to inform you of a past deal, but I thought you might want to know :)

So excited for these.

My Walmart just got the Limo+Helicopter set. For $29, didn't think twice after forking over $40 for the Midi-scale Imperial Star Destroyer.

I also got the City House at Target earlier this week. I like how it is made to be compatible with City Corner.
So excited for these.
I don't like the idea of Lego trading cards but City Space is awesome news.

Eurobricks have a bunch of whiners how it should be it's own theme and how this means space police is dead. So wrong. One even asked who puts rockets in their cities...... Ummmmm..... Six year old boys who Lego targets!

Plus older shuttles and such were in Town so who cares as long as the sets rock!

I think the 2011 Town Space looks cool. Speaking of which, I recently received my Shuttle Adventure order from Shop@Home (plus a Classic Spaceman minifig and free shipping) and it ROCKS! As a bonus, the box wasn't all fucked up like I was expecting. They actually padded it perfectly for a change!
I actually saw clearance Lego at KMart yesterday. They had the Hoth Echo Base for $19 and the Separatist Shuttle for $22.
Oh, come on additional 50% off clearance sale.

My Walmart did the toy section reset and 7 Family Home sets that were on clearance just vanished. My walmart is just plain fucking stupid...no place to put a toy, well then just hide it in the back and then put it back out 6 months later when someone finds it.

Another Walmart by me put some other sets on clearance too. Galactic Enforcer for $69 (finally eventhough some of you have been getting them for $25), Creator Firetruck Rescue $40(was $59.99, 750+ pieces), City Garage for $69, PM Rock Wrecker for $25, City Corner for $40, and some Bionicles sets too.

Have any sites put up pics of the 2011 sets? So far I've only read about them.
