Has anyone actually managed to get Battle of Endor for $24.98?
I'm still contemplating the risk of the "return and re-buy" trick - I currently have 5 that I got for $49.xx and one Target whose computer says they're priced at $24.xx. I'll post if I decide to try it and it works!
Has anyone actually managed to get Battle of Endor for $24.98?

Still hasn't begun the clearance cycle at any of the Targets around San Jose as far as I know.
I asked an employee one time to scan the set for me and then asked her if she knew or can tell if other Targets have that set on clearance. She told me the price was "active" whatever that is supposed to mean.

I remember somebody stating they wanted the set for the biker scouts and what not. Just remember it's going to be the 30th anniversary of ROTJ which I'm going to assume there going to come out with themed sets that year.

Yeah, I'm debating trying the return and rebuy with the Temple of Doom set I picked up ... I guess either way it's ok, because I'd rather not pay $62 + tax, so either I get it for less or save $70 bucks.

Speaking of ROTJ, I really hope they put out a revamped Sail Barge ... seems like the kind of set they could redo with a more detailed Jabba ... either that or I'd love to see LEGO do a take on the Rancor scene ... why hasn't this been done!?!

Lastly, the new LEGO Harry Potter Board Game is out there ... saw it at TRU .. $10 markup dammit ... should be $29.99 and it was ringing up $39.99 ... what the fuck Prim, stop marking up the prices! (hehe, jk ;))

Shave a sheep might also be out ... haven't seen it personally ... BUT ... according to LEGO's VP of Marketing, that was the game that his kids absolutely loved and were waking him up at 6 AM in the morning to play ... plus it's only $9.99 and comes with a pretty sweet little wolf, if I do say so -

Active = Not clearance

5???

Why???

I love me some Star Wars Legos but if I can't get Endor at $25 I could care less. Ewoks are the only thing that interests me in the set as I already have two chickens that I think look better than the ones in this set. Good luck returning 5 $100 Lego sets without raising any eyebrows too!:)

I really want an Endor set and I would be estatic with a $50 one and might jump on one 30% off. Around here, the old ghetto store is wiped out and they had a clearence tag on the shelf (not sure if they were at 30% or 50% off - they did have a couple of PoP at 50%) the other 3 in town have had no clearence Lego this cycle, but still have the Endor set, so I just have to keep checking and hope I don't miss the day the mark them down.

Cheat...buy the regular priced one, return it at the store where it is on clearance, rebuy it when it goes back on the shelf.

Been there, done that ;) That's why I currently have 5 that I paid $50 for (well, one I found at $50, the other four I did the buy @ $100 at another store, return and re-buy at the clearanced store thing.) I'm not greedy - 5 is all I wanted. I wouldn't even consider that many if they weren't at least 50% off. And 75% off is even better :) - but I must be careful because they are probably starting to recognize me at this store!

i just want to find one on clearance

Didn't manage to get any clearance Lego, but found some other good stuff for 75% off. Did see one of the 10 dollar Duplo sets for 2.50 however.

Okay, I risked one of my Endor sets today: returned it and rebought it for 25 smackers! \\:D/ I forgot who posted it about Target not usually having their markdowns ready at store opening. That person was right, because I scanned a POP set today that was previously only 30% off at store opening on Thursday, and today it was suddenly 75% off - just like the rest of the POP were on Thursday. I even had a stockboy scan the 30% POP set that day because I was confused why they marked down some but not all of them and he said it was still only supposed to be 30% off. I can't imagine they would suddenly mark it down twofold the very next day, so they probably just weren't finished with the markdowns on Thursday morning when I was there. Anyway, happy to have Fight for the Dagger for only 7 bucks! :D Now I'm going to take a break from Target hunting and returning for awhile. Returning my 4 other Endor sets can wait. Its been fun though...I love good LEGO deals!

I returned it this morning, went to browse the store and toy section, and while there another stockperson brought it back to the clearance area and put it on an endcap. In my book, that means I am welcome to it. I was just lucky because this store apparently doesn't like to keep returns hanging around too long at the guest services counter.

Stopped at a Target that had redone their Lego section. They had two display boxes: First had some city sets in it, and the second had a 2 foot tall Darth Vader minifig.:whistle2:s

I didn't realize Cad Bane's Speeder is $50 and is only 312 pieces.

Didn't see any minifigs but Target organizes their shelves extremely well and I wouldn't expect these on the shelves between other sets. I hope they get them so I can stop looking for them!

My son had his Lego themed birthday party today! It was great fun for the kids. He got Space Police Galactic Enforcer from us. I got it at Target 50 % off.

Wait, is the minifigure an actual plastic, fully molded figure and 2 inches tall or is it like a cheap non moveable type thing? I'm guessing it's a promotional piece for display in the section? Any chance you can post a photo in the future?

Anyone have any tips on how to go about scoring one of those once they dump the displays? I thought I read that the stores are legally obligated to destroy all those display items? Any truth to that?

Didn't look like this did it?

Anyone know if Kmart is still running 50% off clearance toys? I have a chance to go to a couple local stores today but don't know if it's worth bothering.

I bought a clearance Space Police set Sunday and there was no extra 50% off unfortunately.

Nothing cool like that otherwise I would have been talking to someone about getting it when they do the next reset. It looked like a big plastic toy. The case had a button on it but it wasn't working or the damn thing just doesn't do anything. Most of the time they put actual sets in the display boxes which is why I cant' figure out why they just put in a giant Vader minifig.

Those molded big plastic minifigures are horrible. I wanted to get the ones a TRU near me had before closing, they are very cheaply made.

However Star Wars fans are crazy, and you probably could get like $300 for the thnig.

I am so mad! I gave my son for his b-day a Toy story 3 Lego set Lotso's dump truck and all the minifigures were missing from the box. Now I have to bring it back and exchange it.

By the way I bought the star wars slave 1 for $63.99, is this a decent price?

Just hit up Lego and let them send you the missing minifigs.

10% off? Where at?
10% off? Where at?
I had a coupon for 20% off at Toys R US so that is how I got the slave 1 cheaper.

I brought back the lego set to Target and they exchanged it. I think someone must have stolen the minifigs ( they were all in one bag attached) out of the box because looking at it after the fact the tape looked a lttle messed up but it was also missing a purple piece that came in a large bag that seemed to be sealed so I don't know. Maybe it was a mistake on Lego's part.

For people looking for the Target Lego polybag sets, I saw the Atlantis Octopus (30040) and World Racers Jet Ski (30031) at Five Below for $2.99. I only ever saw the Octopus at Target, and that was at just one of the 8+ stores I've visited the past few months.

Five Below also had last year's impulse sets, but marked up to $4. Gave me a chance to get a Snake minifig, though.

Unfortunately Five Below is a regional store, but I thought I'd toss this out there for the East Coast Lego friends.

There's a Kmart here where twice in the past year I've picked up a box and could hear loose pieces rattling inside. The tape looked fine unless you really examined it. No limit to what some people will do for Lego, I guess.

There is a Five Below near me, never knew that. I really love the Jet Ski for $3. Nothing beats lime green besides sand red.
Five Below another dang Yankee only Store :)
We've got 'em in Virginia and this ain't no Yankee state!;) Everytime I've been in one they had those Knights sets that were really just medieval times bionicles...double blah.

Do you live near a Fred Miarers (What's the name?) because if you do you have no right to complain! :p

Fred Myers what the heck is that a dang Left Coast store:D

All we have here are Wallyworld and wannabe wallyworlds like Tarzay and SuperKlapmart :)

Even worse, we HAD Fred Meyers for years, then they pulled out. So I KNOW what I'm missing. Got all the original 1999 Star Wars sets there...good times.

If they're at a regional store, they most likely will show up at other regional stores. Zepp, Ackbar, keep an eye out at Fred Meyers for the World Racers Jet Ski set.

Also, what kind of store is Five Below? Is it a discount store, or is it more upper class department store for soccer moms? This may be a clue as to where else they might show up.

snake minifig?

I think they are referring to the small impulse set # 8400 - Space Speeder, which came with an alien punk minifig named 'Snake'.

Yup, that's what I was referring to.

Display box is now up on entertainment earth. For 164.99 . Ouch. Put in a preorder, but I'm hoping to get them at retail price before they ship. This is just my backup plan.

Thanks for the heads up. I also put in a preorder for a box, but with shipping it's $3.10 a figure. I guess that's still better than aftermarket, but I'm hoping to find some at retail price. Series 1 was so cutthroat, though, I'm wondering if that'll just ramp up the intensity for Series 2.

You mean BOX. Case holds 2 display boxes. I'm not surprised about the $164 price though. If not now, come Christmas, people will be paying $200+ on eBay for a box...

Thanks, fixed it.

And yes, the most recent entertainmentearth catalog has a free shipping code on it (i used one on mine ) but I believe it is unique for each catalog. If you have to pay shipping it bumps the cost to 185 for one box.
$45 more than the series 1 preorder. What a fucking joke.
Heaven forbid they sell an item for more when the first series sold out in less than three weeks!

And the big Darth Vador minifigure at Target is really cool. You push the button and his arm goes up and the it lights up and everything. I so want one for my grandma (She is a Darth Vador fan).

And they made no profit at all on those orders I bet. Dang thanks for setting me right:applause:

Stopped at Walmart tonite and saw that they had a full palet of Legos still in their boxes. They all have "Do not sell before Aug. 6" printed directly on them. The only set that I noticed (they all had labels with the set names and quantities) that I hadn't seen elsewhere yet is the mid-scale stardestroyer. I looked for the minifigs but didn't find any, granted there were boxes with the labels out of sight.

Best part is, the Lego shelf is completely full of the older sets and they have no where to put the new sets. I bet they end up putting the palet back in the stock area. Hopefully, some Walmart clearance around the corner.
