Figures somebody would post getting them a couple of hours after I get back from a TRU.

Go back tonite etcrane and try to get more with the night shift working...although, I wouldn't try getting the whole box on the first try!

Edit: I just read on Brickset how somebody just bought 2 complete boxes from a store near me!?!?! I knew there would be hoarding but that sucks. I called a few stores and one says they have them in but it's too late for me to get there before they close. Guess I'll make the trip tomorrow and spend that $25 giftcard. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Call around, you might get lucky.

A no go in the Beavercreek, OH TRU.

No new sets out, and no Minifigs in either the lego aisle or the endcaps near the registers. Even though I would like to buy a few early on, I'm really just hoping Entertainment Earth comes through with my box sooner than mid-June.

Also, it's been two days and my toysrus.com order still has not shipped :bomb:. It's been stuck on "items located in stock". Here's hoping tomorrow.

EDIT:
I can see both sides of the spectrum on the "buy a whole box" at TRU thing. I don't think there's anything wrong with buying a complete box if you find one in store, but part of me is kinda glad they are putting a limit on it. Seems like the limit should be higher than 5 though.

I might be able to make it back, but not sure ... Jaymatik may have some to post as well. If we keep a current list of barcodes, we should be able to make our own list pretty soon ... only need 11 more ;)

Wondering if someone here can help me out with this. I don't follow too many sets, so I don't know when they are released or go out of production. I am wondering if the Grand Emporium is a current set, an OOP past set, or a future set. Brickset says March 2010 in the U.K., but I don't know how that translates to U.S. release. It is back-ordered at lego.com until June and out of stock at Amazon. So, has this set been released and is now hard to find, or is it not yet released? I would like to get one eventually, preferably not for a while, but if it's getting hard to find maybe I'll place an order at lego.com.

BTW, this is probably old news, but from the LEGO site:

Look for our new locations at:
-Houston Galleria, Houston, TX
-Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City, NY
-Queens Center, Elmhurst, NY
-Rockefeller Center, New York City, NY
-Aventura Mall, Miami, FL
-Wiesbaden, Germany

So NYC is actually getting two LEGO stores soon.

My order shipped today, and I ordered... not much later after you posted.

Question for Prim4444: If we call the store, what would we ask to see if they have in stock? I'm thinking every bag is just one UPC/Item in the system...

I wonder if ectrane would like to post the receipt, maybe there is a TRU number they can enter to find out.

I'd like to make the trip but it's a good oh 60 miles... not worth it if they don't have it, and calling them and describing it would be near impossible since I'm sure I'll get someone completely useless.

Yes, it is an assortment under one number

Item # 306565

Yeah ... my experience trying to find any other TRUs where I could buy more than 5 was a fruitless hassle ... no one had any clue what I was talking about.

In addition to the item number Prim mentioned, they ring up as LEGO MINIFIGURE 673419130479 .. not sure if that number has any use.

Oh, and I must just be lucky ;) , because Jay grabbed 10+ tonight from the same TRU, so hopefully he can throw up some new barcodes soon too.

If Jay posts any more barcodes, I could save a ton of time looking and guessing

Major props and many thanks to etcrane for giving me the heads up on the minifigs at TRU. Fortunately for me, I had some young kid at the customer service counter who didn't limit me on the minifigs so I threw in a bunch of them in my cart and went to the register before someone caught on. Etcrane sent me the barcode pics of the Zombie and Robot, but I didn't have time to match them up at the counter.

I got 3/4 of the set and will post barcodes tomorrow morning 'cause I'm just too damn lazy right now. Maybe by tomorrow morning someone will beat me to it. I must say... exceeded my expectations on quality and LEGO being LEGO... some minifigs had extra weapons/accessories.

Did I say THANKS AGAIN Etcrane for the heads up! BTW - I still owe you 2 from getting me Starbucks at BbtB. Just let me know who you need/want.

Just a heads up - vip.lego.com now takes you to a brand new page where you can earn points through the lego shop site. The BEST news, for some people, is you can sign up for a VIP card when you make a purchase, you do not have to visit a retail store! That will be welcome news to everyone who does not have a store near them.

Grand Emporium is a new set and it was released in March in the US, too. I suspect that somewhere in June Amazon will carry it. The Imperial Flagship was released in January and by April Amazon had it in stock.

The reason why I'm mentioning Amazon is because I saved approximately $30 in shipping and tax on the Imperial Flagship by buying it through Amazon as opposed to S@H.

I'd love to make a good list of these for us, if you guys could provide HQ scans of the complete barcodes, I could take care of that. I sit in front of a computer all day doing ebay stuff. It's not like I don't have free time :),

The new sets in the stores have some price differences like the Octane truck for $20.99 instead of $18.99 online. New impulse sets (pig + farmer, wizard) are $4.49. There might be others but these were the ones I noted. No new SW sets though.

They had 3 minifig boxes. They were all in the regular Lego section on a shelf with a shelf tag of $1.99.

The barcode on the minifig box rings up for $1.99, not $119.40. If one were to get a cashier who didn't pay attention or even care when one mentioned he should probably ring up them all up seperately, one might get a whole box for $1.99. I feel dirty.

So, did you get a whole box for $1.99? Which minifigs did you get?

One might have. Kids aren't home from school yet, and I'm thinking about giving them out as rewards for good behaviors and school work and such. I will take photos of any barcodes from ones we do open though.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I don't think I'd have the cahoneys to walk out with a BIG box for 1.99 + tax.....

That's just stealing.

well... even a 5-10% markup doesn't mean someone should get a 98% discount...

I say balance the karma and give us all one crappy minifig.

I'll take a free Dummy or Diver that everyone hates... :bouncy:

5-10% adds up over time.

But since I don't buy lego's at MSRP (except for impulse/promo sets) I won't be the guy that gets a box for $2 :)

BTW, picked up a jester, wizard, and 3 farmer impulse sets at the lego store last night.

And 2 large PAB cups of Bamboo (http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/30176) 1132 pieces for $28.98, Woot!

If it makes you feel any better, it's taken 2 months of annoying them to get in more foliage type parts to get the bamboo in.

Now I'm waiting for the 6 x 5 (http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/2417) and 4 x 3 (http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/2423) tree branch pieces, and the 1 x 1 3 leaf pieces (http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/x8) to come in :)

Word is, you can fit an entire box of the 1 x 1 3-leaf plants in a single PAB cup

I can't wait :D

All 16 mini figure bar codes

img002-1.jpg

Since I was able to use my scanner at work to figure out the different figures, I got each individual figures bar code number also. In case this could help someone out

The # is 67341913XXXX. Only the last 4 numbers change per figure so I will list those numbers only. The following is useful only if you have some way to scan the bar code.

Clown - 4033
Wrestler - 4019
Robot - 3913
Skater - 4064
Nurse - 3937
Robin Hood - 3975
Magician - 4002
Astronaut - 3968
Indy Wanna Be - 3982
Caveman - 4057
Diver - 3951
Zombie - 3920
Indian - 3999
Cheerleader - 4026
Ninja - 3944
Crash Test Dummy - 4040

Great job! I just preordered a 3rd box of a series 1 (180 units). I had a $15 coupon from EntertainmentEarth's last order. They have stopped taking master case orders!

After that post about TRU limiting purchases, there was no way I would be able to collect enough figures to have decent displays of zombies/robots/natives/cheerleaders/forestmen. 3 boxes will give me 9 cheerleaders, but I still want to pick up at least one more at the store. And knowing EntertainmentEarth and BBTS preorders, I won't get those boxes until TRU gets 2-3 shipments first.

That's not the case if you have a wholesale account. And it's tiered pricing under wholesale, so the more cases you buy, the cheaper they are. Glad I preordered a 'good' amount... :D

LoL... If husher did get the box for $1.99 I can only imagine what went through his mind with the recent frustration he had with TRU.

Bravo sir, good show ... and why is it that Husher always gets the best deals ... I think he secretly uses a dart gun at the register and just walks out with the LEGOs as the cashier begins to pass out.

One word etcrane...cleavage, and plenty of it.

Actually, it went like this:

The only register open was the CSR desk, but a lady had a cart full so the manager walked me over to the video game department so the kid there could ring me up. She noticed I was going to get the whole box and was talking about how they just put out all the new stuff last night and I was the first to buy them.

So I put the minfig box and the 3 impulse sets on the counter. The kid starts spinning the minifig box looking for a barcode to scan when I tell him that he has to scan the packs individually. He smiles at me as he finds the barcode on the box and it rings up $1.99. I look at him and say "See.", thinking that he will understand that the box isn't just $1.99. He then goes on to ring up the impulse sets and tell me the total is $16.23. Again I tell him that the packs should be rung up seperately. He frowns at me, voids the minifig box and then rescans the box again. The total comes back to $16.23 again and he says to me "See." I swear I must have stared at him for about 10 seconds before he asked how I would like to pay for it. Gave him my giftcard, he bagged the stuff, and said "Have a nice day".

Let the hating commence.

That's awesome. My story involves me making two laps around the Lego isles only to realize that they didn't get the minifigs yet.

I lined up the barcodes and faded the Pre-digit that won't help, and now you should be able to line up a package and go down the line till it matches.

LOL

Well it's not like you didn't tell the kid....

Great job :applause:

Nicely done with the cheat sheet Prim and thank for the edited version xy. I think the best way to go about this at TRU is to buy a bunch of them, match them up at home and then return the ones you don't want or trade/sell.

I swear I'm going to have a seizure when I look at all these barcodes and keep going back and forth between the sheet and the actual bags.

Hey guys ... so here's my unethical epiphany for today (Look, Toys R Us pissed me off, so this is my gift to you guys while proving annoying to TRU - yeah, sorry Prim ... no offense)

Since each figure scans separately and we can read barcodes, we know what figures are in each bag. However, on the TRU receipt they all come up the same (even if they don't in TRU's scanner). SO ... if you buy a box ... and you're also hunting for figures at TRU. You should easily be able to hunt down figures you want in store ... and then return the extra figures you don't want from your box to TRU.

Is it ethical ... not really ... but you have 90 days with each pick up to make the choice for yourself. And after the way TRU treated me yesterday, I may just have to return a few divers in the days to come ... but then, I may not ... who can say for sure ;)

I would have done the same thing in your situation. I don't have anyone I work with like that or I'd take the 5 boxes we have sitting in the back and buy them all.

The only bad thing about this though... Until they figure out they are 59 figures short and take them out of the system, they probably won't get any replenishment anytime soon.

I just called TRU yesterday and they don't have any, but they told me to call back after 10am... seems like they get shipments Tue and Thur.

I might make a run if they have them...
