I got the minisub and buggy (did not see the powerboat). I'm glad they did minisets aside from the minifigures, but too bad they were not mini-SW. Hopefully for xmas, they will have original trilogy mini-SW sets (wishing for A-Wing and TIE Interceptor). The 2 boxes of minifigures were already picked through for Spartans. Picked up a witch, mime, and popstar.

Same here. I don't use the bar codes (I'm probably the only person who likes the randomness), but no way am I paying a 50% markup after someone else likely cherry-picked the box.
 
I tried to cancel my lego.com order but they sent it anyway... based on the barcodes I got a pretty decent spread, 3 vampires, 2 adventurers, 2 karate masters and 1 each of everything else except the pharoah, surfer, witch and mime.

Given the way people have been gobbling these things up, I think I'll hang onto them for a year or so and see how much the value climbs.
 
My wife saw two boxes of minifigs at our local TRU. I told her no thanks, $2.99 is just too much.

I got most of my set from TRU but after i found them at Target i just bought some at the lower price and returned them back to TRU. I made sure i wasnt a total ass to TRU and bought as big a variety as i could find.
 
Just got my S@H figures.

2 Spartans
4 Witches (!?!)
3 Mr. Maracas
2 Lifeguards
2 Skiers
3 Surfers

So...anyone wanna trade? (not the Spartans--I'm keeping those sum'bitches) I'm looking for ANY of the others, a wholesale trade 4 or 5 at a time--I'm just trying to get the set.

Good idea, I have thought about doing the same thing but my target may not get any in and then I be stuck paying $2.99 each.

I dunno, I might get one or two for my girl and maybe one or two for me. They would make good stocking stuffers for Christmas. My only problem would be waiting that long to actually open them. :cry:

Also, I just got a $5 offf $25 coupon in the mail from TRU. Hopefully everyone else got one too.:applause:

Nope. I think they know i will spend my money there even with no coupons. Havent got anything but baby coupons since end of June. Better to spend the $3 a piece now than spend double later online.
 
Lookin for a DJ from series 2. Don't have a list of what doubles I have yet but if you have a DJ to trade and let me know what your looking for so we can both hopefully get what we want.
 
Found a City Advent Calendar at Borders today. It was marked up to $39.99, but I had a 40% off coupon to bring it down to $24. I wasn't interested in it at full retail of $35, but for $24 I couldn't pass it up.
 
We got out as a family today and did a little shopping at various stores. My wife got her some stuff and my little girl and I had a great time running around various stores.

Scored Karate Master, Witch, Motorcycle Cop, Downhill Skier, and an Adventurer at Target for $1.99 each.

Went to TRU and got me a Spartan for $2.99.

sooo 2 Targets... one didn't even have any boxes.... about 15 left laying in a pile.

The other had the empty box, but all the sets were scattered.

Picked through, got a few that I wanted, but no Spartans.

Borders is not having any I think.... still nothing.

Ordered 16 from Shop@Home. Hopefully, I get some Spartans. All TRUs around me have been picked clean of them. Still haven't seen these at Target.

I can't believe the Cafe Corner is selling for $400! I still haven't opened mine so I am tempted to sell it. It was a Chritmas present from my wife though, so I don't think I will. 180husher, what were you saying about doll houses? :)

New King's Castle Siege sets are also up to about $200. I have an extra open one that I held on to, but I don't want to get rid of the minifigs.

Well now you have a "slightly valuable" doll house.;):) Where are they selling at? Ebay?

I have an extra King's Castle Siege (the one from Walmart two xmas's ago right?) but I didn't think it was worth double retail. Rather keep it in case we want to build a "super" castle though.

Found a Target that had the series 2 minfigs "in the stockroom" when I checked the price scanner. A stock person was nice enough to get them from the back for me. Got two complete sets so I returned those overpriced ones I bought from TRU...they thought I was crazy.:roll:

I did the same thing today. It's worth the time. Over $30 is another whole Lego set. They had 2 brand new boxes of minifigs sitting at the service desk when i took them back.

Yeah, ebay, though bricklink is pretty close.

Yeah, it was, I think they were selling for $50 and then they dropped to $30. I've been meaning to do that since I got them but never got around to it.

My Target was sold out but today there was 5 packs there. I grabbed them all because I couldn't get the cheat sheet to load. Man, I have trouble reading those barcodes. I couldn't imagine doing it in the store.

Just got Meijer ad for Friday and Saturday with 20% off coupon for toys, excludes clearance. Online code is SUPER20. Went to Target and minifigs were $2.99. First Target out of about a half dozen that i've checked that was marked anything but $1.99.

I have yet to find the minifigures at Target (just empty space with shelf tag at 1.99). Noticed today, though, when checking DCPI # that the price was 2.99 ... :bomb:. Makes the polybag sets that much more attractive at 2.99 (unless they raised those prices as well).
 
Picked up an Advent Calendar for $24 today at Borders with the newest 40% off coupon. Was tempted to go for the Slave 1, would have been $57 with the coupon. Can't believed they marked it up to $95 though.

Other interesting thing was the new Borders Plus card, which is the paid version of the regular card. It gives you an extra 10% anything in the store, but they take it off after other discounts, so with the 40% off coupons, it's about 46% off total. It costs $20 a year though, so not really worth it unless you're buying $300 in LEGO at Borders a year.

Also finally managed to find the World Racers powerboat and Atlantis octopus impulse sets at a Target that's about 30 minutes from where I live. For some reason my locals Targets don't stock the register impulse LEGO sets.

Just a warning, those of you without Fred Meyers around may just want to skip this.
Went in looking to take advantage of the B2G1 today, not really sure what I was looking for, but once I got to the LEGO section it was pretty sure what I was getting. Just today they got Series 2 minifigs, and luckily priced at 1.99. Add in the sale, the extra 10% off and it works out to 1.20 a figure. Not even really sure what I got, grabbed a box that had 60 so I am hopeful it is an unsorted through box. I will update later with what I got.
 
Well, just finished going through the box, and... fuck whoever it was that took out 2 of the Spartans and stuck in an extra cop and Baywatch. At least I got 1 complete set. I still don't like these as much as series 1, but at the price I just couldn't pass it up.
 
I went to Target and they had 2 full boxes, I could not believe it. So I took them into my cart and stood there looking at all the barcodes. Thankfully I took my barcode list that I printed and one that I handmade myself with pen on paper by copying from my computer screen. I got the last 4 that I needed. I bought an extra karate master to give to my son's karate teacher. My son is going to be so happy when he comes home from school.
I have a lot of extras, I don't know if anyone wants them. I will have to return them to the lego store, I am not going to keep all of these extras. Unless you guys think I should hold on to them for trading when series 3 comes along, though I do have series 1 for that purpose. But I think I'd rather just get my money back from the store and be done with them.

For those of you finding the minifigs at Target, what section are they in? Back in the toys with the other Legos, on an end cap, or perhaps up by the collectible cards type stuff? I stopped in at my local one before work this morning, and didn't see a tag for them on the shelves. Thanks.
