Excited to see the BS2 DLC on sale. I know they haven't fixed the MP issues, but I will probably pick it up and give it a go.

For Bioshock 2, how active is the multiplayer? I'll "probably" get the game at some point, but on the fence about the DLC. Thinking I probably won't though.

While hard to say, unless I get Galaga, it'll be nice to finally save my points for the rest of the month.

Damn it. I knew I should have waited for the BioShock 2 DLC to go on sale. I bought it last month and still haven't actually played on the new maps.

The multiplayer is still pretty active. However, you will rarely, if ever, see these multiplayer maps in normal play, since everyone in the room has to have the DLC and you can't pick rooms based on DLC. You pretty much have to organize a group to even play them, let alone get the achievements on them.

Galaga Legions for 400 points is a deal?!

I thought it comes on Namco Museum Virtual Arcade with tons of other games for cheap (I think it's one of the ones to get with the Halo Reach $10 collectible card @ TrU this week, too).

Also, there are a LOT of people who have had buyer's remorse on this game - more than most arcade games, due to the ridiculous difficulty and how the demo is not representative of the difficulty of the other levels in the game.

Buyer beware, and be informed.

Aliens vs Predator Swarm Map Pack , 560 Microsoft Points

heh .. I refuse to pay them any DLC on this game until they patch up the AvP achievement issues .. Its just lame on their part for them to expect some ppl to pay the DLC for a broken MP game experience

youll be waiting a long time. theyve announced that theyre dropping support for the game, no more patches. sucks i love avp

So what was the deal with the Bioshock 2 DLC? I remember there being a backlash because 2 of the dlc packs had the same thing or you had to have both to make one work or something like that. Anyone heard anything like that?

Hell yes to zeno clash though.

I guess its time to spend more of those.

8,000 Yes I said 8,000 Microsoft points I scored during the whole

2009 Target AXE Free Points Fiasco (still waiting for the Microsoft cops)

And combined with the DORITOS Text Points give away I must have texted from Every cell phone store in South Florida.

And had every possible relative TExting for Microsoft points.

I'd gift some to people but you can't once they are on your account.

still have about 6,000 MS Points left.

i just picked it up about a week ago, play it quite often. i'd say its got enough to find a game pretty quick. its no cod, where games are found in 5 seconds, but its good. ive had no trouble in capture the sister, tdm, and team adam grab. not sure about the others.

i think its due to the low amount of people who actually bought the multiplayer dlc and from what ive heard the maps dont show up from the dlc because most ppl dont have it.

For $15 more you could grab Namco museum virtual arcade which has Galaga Legions plus a whole mess of (mostly) decent other games.

Awesome to see the bioshock 2 content on sale(though the preorder characters and new protector trials are not.) There is still a good population on this game, I just rebirthed and play it all the time.

main problem is there is no DLC playlist. The DLC maps are in rotation, but of course everyone must have them, and the new maps are not weighted any more than normal ones, so you don't see em. I am hoping them being on sale helps them pop up more.

Liz over at 2Kgames promised us a playlist patch back in April, and we are still waiting on it. Last thing she said was a few days ago, that its being worked on. nothing more than that.

I've been playing the PC version of B2 and it'd be nice if they would do DLC discounts like on XBLA but unfortunately there aren't very many games/dlc available to the pc marketplace.

Basically, don't waste your points on Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack. Get Rapture Metro.

I'm curious about if the rebirth achievement require both DLC to get it

No. I bought Rapture Metro and not Sinclair and was able to get the rebirth achievement. Like the other poster said, don't buy Sinclair Solutions.

Thanks

Zeno Clash for $10 is what I paid for it on PC. This version just adds a charge move or two, co-op arenas, and that's it. No thanks, but a nice deal for those that didn't get it cheap on the PC.

And, yeah, Galaga Legions is a better deal if you buy Namco Virtual Arcade and, yes, the game is just ludicrously unforgiving, even for a shmup player.

sincclair solutions is lame since its Disc Locked Content, but the upgrades you get in it are some of the best in the game. I bought it since i'm a whore for bioshock and play the game constantly, but if you are just buying it cause its a deal then please dont.

Zeno Clash is great IF you're competitive and have a friend to play with. I think coop time trials are really what make the game worth the price.

Would like some more thoughts on Galaga Legions. Anything positive to say, guys?

dragon age dlc for 2 weeks in a row, wtf!?! I don't recall microsoft doing this before with anything else and they should of just put avatar items or something else instead of the same thing again twice. zeno clash? perhaps but not sure if it's worth it.........

mattBlitz - see my post a few above yours. Galaga Legions is very Difficult and not that really fun. Check reviews, but I wish I would have never purchased it, that is for sure.

I'm assuming this happened because MS did not account for there being 5 weeks in August. Seems like the kind of fuck up they would do lol.

So, I guess now that Lara Croft is out for XBLA, it's time to play all five of the recent releases and see if there's 3 of them or 5 of them worth keeping.

Any opinions on all five so far?

Or maybe EA asked for a second week because the big debut (outside of Game Informer) for Dragon Age 2 happened yesterday, so that could spur some sales.

I also know a lot of people are either starting DA back up or starting to play it now, from reading the thread in the 360 forum and also this thread once the news of the DLC sales hit.

Limbo is awesome. Castlevania is great too.

I dont know how I feel about MNC & Hydro Thunder though...

I anticipate Tomb Raider to be awesome (I bought it today during lunch).

I feel that exact way about single player after playing the demo for a bit. It is very repetitive and not as deep as the other Castlevanias. I was told the mulitplayer is where it is at. I have since purchased it and will be hopefully playing it with friends this week :)

Monday Night Combat is a must buy! If you've ever played Team Fortress 2, you'll definitely love it. It's a mix of TF2's class based system with a little bit of Tower Defense thrown in. The art style is also great, it looks like a more polished TF2.

So far I've bought Limbo, Castlevania and Monday Night Combat. If I like Lara Croft then I'll have to buy Hydro Thunder and look at it as a free game.

These deals have been really bad since after E3. Do they listen to the community at all? Is there a suggestion box where we can influence the choices? Borderlands DLC has been on sale 2 or 3 times this summer alone.

They will finally be getting back to games in a couple weeks, but they don't interest me. I might bite on Zeno Clash if it ever hits 400pts, since the slightly inferior PC version was on sale for like $3.

They need to do these themed DLC sales separately, in addition to having game sales. I want to see some older games, like Eets Chowdown, Exit, and Gripshift.

In addition: 1200 pts. is the new 800 pts.

I say MNC > LC > Castlevania > Limbo >>>>>>>> Hydro Thunder.

MNC is just a lot of fun, but I have no idea how the community will hold up.

I downloaded Laura Croft last night and played one level. It's definitely a solid game, which could be bumped to the best once coop comes out.

I'm a Castlevania freak, but I only have one friend who bought the game. Im sure it would be more fun playing with 5 people. Ransoms are ok to play with. Playing by yourself kind of stinks.

Limbo is great, but it's over once it starts picking up :(. I don't regret buying it though, it was worth a play-through since its so unique.

Hydro Thunder Im not a fan of at all, but might as well buy since I got all the others.
In addition: 1200 pts. is the new 800 pts.
Yup. Im wondering if the Windows phone has anything to do with that. Im willing to bet 5.00 will be the new standard for those games.

I thought Limbo and MNC were both well worth my money.

I've survived the Summer of Arcade with no purchases. Too much backlog to justify Limbo for full price. Hopefully there will be a sale this holiday.

I personally have thoroughly enjoyed all of the Summer of Arcade titles.

Limbo was a blast playing and will go back quite a bit from time to time. Hydro Thunder is a great arcade style racer and have played countless races with friends already. I have played Castlevania far more than I probably should have because I love leveling people up/ gaining spells and armor. With a fun group, that game is pure awesome. Monday Night Combat is also another great multiplayer game. Although at its core it is not technically the greatest class based shooter, it is simply fun, which is enough for me. Not to meniotn is has the ability to sign in a guest, which for me is super helpful seeing as multiple friends of mine do not have Live Accounts or simply do not buy XBLA titles. And I have Lara Croft downloading as we speak seeing as I have been moving and unable to get on my 360 until now, but it appears that everyone likes it.

I looked at it as though I was spending the money on a full $60 game, seeing as I will get the $15 back and I have not looked back ever since.

Galaga Legions is unbelievably hard.
For most casual players, you won't ever see anything past level 2.
The developer apologized and created a help Faq.
That's true. The core gameplay and graphics of Galaga Legions is pleasant, but the stupid difficulty ruins the experience. I made it to level 3, but that one's just impossible for me.

Also Castlevania Harmony of Despair is by far my favorite Summer of Arcade title. Such a wonderful game if you like hunting for loot and teaming up to take down bosses.

decisions, decisions... the dateline is coming up.

should i put up the coin for just DA: Awakenings & DA:O's Warden? still no news on the Ultimate edition yet right?

Limbo is not worth $15 for art style and simple puzzles. No.

MNC looks decent but that sort of MP game is not my thing.

Croft is great fun.

Hydro Thunder... no thanks. Same with Castlevania. Warmed over retread of the lousy DS games platforming with even MORE grinding and a thin co-op layer? Mix with awful music? No thanks.

I'd say Croft and MNC win by far depending on what you're looking for.

Given that EA didn't announce the Ultimate Edition of Battlefield: BC 2 until 3 weeks before it is scheduled to come out, I'd say they're going to remain mum on the Ultimate Edition of Dragon Age until mid-Sept.

Depends on how you look at it. $15 for 4 hours in Limbo is about the same as $60 for 16 hours in a normal game.

I can see where you're coming from, but that line of thinking would work anywhere else, except for on this site. People here rarely pay $60 for a game. Also it's not unusual to be able to get 40+ hours of entertainment out of a $10 to $20 boxed copy of a game.

Limbo is one of the very best games I have ever played, and it was only $15. That's a really good deal.
