Not sure how I typed that
I dunno, but I like it. We should make that into a new word. It could be used as a form of "nerd rage" for when games/movies mess up people's childhood memories ;).

E.g., "Greedo shooting first in the Star Wars special edition upraged me so much!".

Or maybe we can save it for what I'll feel if MS stiffs me out of the 800 bonus points if they end up not counting the Toy Soldiers DotW sale.

I wonder if the PSN will ever have Fallout 3 DLC at 50% off, maybe I missed it but not sure either way. Pretty good deal on that Fallout 3 DLC though.
Is all of the SW:FU dlc worth it? So far it seems like the AC2 stuff isn't. I am tempted to get all the FO3 dlc but I might as well wait for the GOTY edition to drop lower.
If you really are the sort of masochist who liked SW:TFU and really want more of it... eugh... then I can say that the DLCs all provide decent quality levels. The Jedi Temple mission is the weakest of the bunch. Dopey puzzles and poor pacing. Still, if you want to round out your set, I say go for it. The quality is such that if what you seek is another ladle full of greasy, slimy, SWTFU swill, it will be of quality that I suspect will satisfy you.
Anyone received their points from the Summer of Arcade promo? Was due to be sent to us on the 30th or following days.
not me, I am waiting for the 1200 points too, hopefully they will show up anytime now...

Did Boogie Bunnies not sell one copy? Is that why this thing has been on sale since what seems like the dawn of Destination Arcade?

No clue. MS sat on the info for this week. I have classes in a few hours so if they post it soon enough I will try and get an update in.

You rock. You do such a great job with this thread. :D
Thanks, I'm sure many will feel a lot better with the ability to point to this in the event Microsoft goes all pain in the ass on people later. I personally don't know if I'll end up taking advantage of this or not, I really wish I had waited one more day to buy Case Zero, but oh well. Already spent 400 this month and I may actually have to buy Comic Jumper at full price, game just looks amazing... so who knows...
I was just about to be probably the 101st person to ask the same question. Thanks for the confirmation.

No it's still overpriced. I was not happy in the least at how short the Hoth and Jedi Academy missions were. Lucasarts deserves to get a nice, big haymaker for their pricing on this, before and DURING the sale.
At least the RE missions of comparable length were already around or a little over $5 at regular price compared to the FU missions.
Though to be fair I could look at the idea of buying RE5 new, likely around $20, and I wouldn't feel as ripped off, comparatively.
By SW: FU if you mean Star Wars: The Force Unleashed then it's more or less worth it. I would NEVER pay 800 points a piece for the Jedi Temples and Tatooine missions. Hoth is also 50% off but has no achievements. As for the two DLC's that do, they're both pretty short(beat them in 20-30 minutes) but the Jedi Temples mission you have to replay for the difficulties(so 4 times if you want them all). As for the Tatooine mission, it was short but fun and got all the achievements first time around plus you fight Boba Fett and Obi Wan =) In short, if you care about achievements I'd buy them because 800 for both is a lot better then 1600 which i would never pay. Hopefully that helps with your decision.
Thanks for the info. I bought the Tatooine mission because of your recommendation and because I'm an achievement whore.:lol::lol:

I'll probably still buy the sith edition if I ever find it cheap enough. Hopefully it goes down in price after the Force Unleashed II has been out for a while. I learned my lesson buying the Force Unleashed I on release date. I won't make that mistake again on part II. I'm waiting for the ultra rare cool special edition a year or so down the road before paying $60 for Force unleashed 2.

It got piss poor reviews and is a terrible game. "Destination Arcade" is a joke of an application that never gets updated. Half the time it doesn't even work.

I didn't like it when I first checked it out and have never used it since. What we have now works fine.

I got it for the free dragon avatar pet, which is slightly amusing. Most of the time I have the FFXIII promo chocobo out, though, as the fiancee thinks it's really cute.

The voting DOTW doesn't occur until 10/18 which is still two weeks away. I also had to delete my other post since you beat me to posting the DOTW.

A word of warning for one of the Modern Warfare 2 DLC packs: The resurgence map back has a map with a huge bug on one map that allows a player to hide inside the geometry of a solid rock where that player can kill others while he himself is next to impossible to kill. Players constantly exploit this bug for easy kills. It basically forces you to have to avoid 1/3 of the pack's largest map.

Infinity Ward has gone on record that they're aware of this bug, and have promised to fix it but months and months later have failed to do so. They've since gone quiet on the whole issue.

Good, from now on no one in my party should make me see "DLC 1 is missing" or "DLC 2 is missing." If you don't buy these for $7.50, u got no business playing with me. ;):D
I'm torn on the CoD map packs. Between having Reach and Black Ops around the corner, I question how much Ill be playing MW2.
THIS. they know it too, theyre preying on the CAG inside all of us. i havent played this game in months, but i want to get in on this deal. jebes help me have the strength to resist.

Having recently just started playing MW2 online, and not always being able to play with friends for lack of maps, this is tempting; at the same time, I am quickly finding that console shooters, no matter how popular or how many friends play, aren't really for me. Decisions, decisions...and yeah, everyone will migrate to Black Ops anyway.
If you look a few posts above yours.....

If you look at the fine print it doesn't mention an exlusion or restriction based on Gold vs. Silver. The only promos I have seen with those retrictions are "Upgrade to Gold and get X"
:whistle2:# Doh! How the hell did I miss that. I read a few pages back, and missed a post literally a handful above mine, lol. Thanks!

Anyone Know if this will count for the buy 2400 points in oct get 800 back deal?

As for MW2, the Fuel map is still glitched, as of last week. I either veto this map or just leave the group. There's been promises of a fix since it came out, but nothing has happened yet, and probably never will.
I can't play this game anymore anyways, since everyone just shoots RPG-7's and grenade launchers all the time.

This is true pretty much for all shooters. Hell Reach has game types that are rocket launcher / 1 shot kill only. :)

The word "everyone" is only valid on Killzone 2.

Reddjoey has posted his communications with Microsoft repts, which has indicated that the DotW would count towards the 2400.
Yay, another week I don't have to spend points on the DOTW. Plenty of other things to pick up instead.
I'm with you.

And everyone needs to get Costume Quest. Just sayin'.
Quick question: Aren't the character packs for SW:TFU regularly priced at 400 points each?
According to GiantBomb they are.
According to GiantBomb they are.
Thanks for confirming. It's misleading then to see these character packs as discounted on the list when in reality, they're really not. Someone (OP? Mod?) should correct that.

I am glad to see the price is finally dropping on these. I think the problem that Microsoft has is that they wait to drop the price until a large percentage of people just don't care anymore. I've moved on to other games now, nothing could get me hyped up again about MW2.

See I like the concept, but they would need to make it mandatory for us to find deals through it for it to be useful. If you are going to keep the old game marketplace on top of this, it's pretty much pointless to have it.
