They mentioned in the hallway that those who haven't gotten them that they would be going out today. I wouldn't panic until late tomorrow. I haven't gotten one either but with the amount of people they allowed to be eligible I really don't care

I hit my 200 ptz a few days back, and I haven't seen an email yet. Kinda doubt I will tomorrow, as well...
 
Those who got their email - did it list a time for the redemption? Despite not getting it, most of us did earn the points, so I'd hope it'll let us in regardless.

Well the redemption came and went again. I had an ipod touch, filled out all my info and then it was fresh out as usual. They really need to fix it so if you get to the page to fill in your info, it is yours.

Wait...they did the Spring Fling redemption today?

Not that it matters, I never got my email, anyway. Honestly, that was a joke...

EDIT: I just went to their facebook page for the first time...that does make for some...amusing reading...
 
I was on just as it went live.

I had Check-4-change working on firefox in 30 second intervals, so at the most, it was live for 29 seconds when I clicked on the link to go to Pointz place. By the time I logged in again (which is what they make you do, BTW) more than half of the stuff was already gone.

The thing that I was looking for was still in stock though (Final Fantasy XIII on 360), so I clicked on redeem. That took me to a new page, which made me fill in all my shipping info. Then I had to type in two words at the bottom to verify that I’m a real person (similar to what you have to do to get points after watching videos). It took 45 seconds in total, then I clicked “Redeem”, and I was sent back to the pointz place page that I was at before trying to redeem.

So what does that mean? Did I get it? There was no page saying congratulations or anything like that and my pointz total didn't change. I just ended up back on the page that I was on before trying to get my copy of FF13.

yeah that's happened before. It means you didn't get it and that it was most likely sold out already. The fact that it didn't say it was sold out is some sort of bug I believe
 
I've tried lockerz for 2 months now. Each time the redemption has been BS and I don't get in (I made 200 ptz in their timeframe and NEVER got the email).

Im tired of them making cash off me having to watch forced advertisements for no prize. Piss off lockerz, im going back to opinion outpost, Valued opinions, and Club Bing where I actually MAKE money and prizes without this bull.

Oh man, that sucks. If I knew that I could have tried to get something else. There was still a lot of other things available, too.
 
Two separate general redemptions this month: one for US+Canada, and one for international. The only time I ever redeemed something was during the last US+Canada redemption. Then again there were a lot fewer members back then.
 
Have never received anything, and I don't see how they're constantly out of stock on EVERYTHING, including wallpapers and shirts and stuff...seriously what the hell =/ I'm going to stick with it for a bit longer then give up...anyone know some sites which actually work? :S

iirc they talked about something where you can buy stuff (with real money) and use PTZ to get a discount. My guess that is what SHOP is. Could be wrong though.

There really hasn't been much said about Shop yet, at all, so nobody can really say how ptz will factor into a discount. Maybe 100 ptz will equal $1 off, but that is just speculation. When you guys know something, that's when us LAB members will know as well :lol:
 
US/Canada redemption goes live, less than five minutes for everything to be fresh out.

Oh well, at least the site actually loaded pages pretty well. A step in the right direction, but with redemption still getting cleaned out in such a short period of time even with a region restriction you'll still need a miracle to get anything.

i seriously hope shop turns out to be worthwhile....looks like it will be the only way for 95% of people to use their points before they expire. of course it'll probably turn out to be something like 1000 pts for $5 off. or will only have sites that sell crap.

Same. I refresh the page and it goes "redemption over". I can't believe they ran out of wallpapers!!!

So international users get some warning while US/Canada users get none. Nicely done.
 
I think I was able to redeem something during the US redemption. I had one of the alert programs on and I saw the message that international would not be that day. I had some errands to do so I went out and when I came back I decided to open the page again just in case it was that day.

Since with Lockerz you never know, going from saying day and time, to just the day, to leaving it completely random (last redemption I did not even know it was going on, until I logged in the next day). I figured the message they left, left an opening for the US/Can redemption while deterring some people so their site would not be as slammed.

The alert went off and I logged in right away, I did not have any scripts or autofill and I was still able to see a lot of prizes left (games, movies, headphones, etc...no ipods/computers/video game systems). I had enough points for the psp bundle, but figured I would not be able to get it, so I went for a game instead.
 
I was on the computer for a couple nights waiting for the redemption, then on the night they have it, my laptop monitor shorted out and I had to take it apart. 10 mins after I put it back together, I log on and it was in progress, the only thing left was the Macbook computer for 14,000 points. It sucked. What great timing for a computer issue.
 
So they just announced/showed more info about Shop today. The points system looks like it isn't going to have any sort of consistency unless I'm just missing it. They showed a $130 item at 13% off using 419 points, meaning that it would take about 3224 points to get 100% assuming the ratio remains constant. They also showed an item that was about $30 at 11% off using 100 points, meaning that it would take about 910 points to get it 100% off. Additionally shipping for products over $100 is free, but otherwise you pay for it or use points (the video showed it as 200 but there is no indication whether or not it'll vary by size and weight) So if these numbers hold true it looks like: 1) points will not be simply and universally defined, i.e. 1 point equals 1 penny or anything simple and 2) A $30 item will be around 1100 points including shipping.

Honestly, ptz have never really had a true value... When games were 100 ptz, DVDs were 250, then when the DVDs went up 4x, the games were almost 1000 ptz cheaper. I'm betting shipping will change with weight, but I can tell you SHOP actually isn't too bad. It's not prizes up 24/7, yet, but it's a nice change. I also really love that they are gonna change up the prizes after a certain amount of time... But, I'm probably gonna hold off to see if they have a sale down the road or something.

Its not that impressive, the amount of points it takes to get a decent discount is way to high IMO.

Example: For 2961 PTZ I can get Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for 18.60 (a 69% discount), plus shipping.
 
I honestly wasn't expecting too much of a discount. Even going into it with low expectations though, I must say, I'm underwhelmed.
